The structure of the hair of all people is the same:
Outside the hair is covered with cuticle - protective "scales". Their condition determines the appearance of the hair. When the scales lie flat, the hair reflects light well and glitters. They, the scales, are the first to suffer when exposed to damaging factors (for example, paints). The layer of scales is broken - hair becomes dull and brittle.
In the center of the hair is the soft core of non-keratinized cells, and the bulk - up to 85% - is occupied by keratin fibers (hard shell, cortex). In the hair shaft just there are particles of substances that give hair color. Two natural pigments - eumelanin and pheomelanin. When there is little pigment in the hair and pheomelanin predominates, we see a blonde. When staining with resistant paints, the dye penetrates into the hair shaft, and the color changes. When bleaching natural hair pigments are destroyed, and the color goes away. This happens in all people, regardless of hair color. But there is a difference.
Natural blonde hair, most often, soft and thin. A lot of them. Blond hair has small onions. They are lighter than dark hair, damaged by direct sunlightmore prone to falling outmay purchase yellow tint. When dyeing blond hair, their tone is obtained brighter than the pattern in the catalog.
Bleached hair with altered pigments become sensitive not only to sunlight, but to impurities in the water. For example, with a high content of chlorine, they may become greenish (that is why it is recommended to wet your hair with clean water before bathing in a pool or in an aqua-park). Bleached hair become “empty” brittle, dry and without care look sick. It happens that blond hair does not hold the color well, and they have to tint more often. Sharp lightening (more than 2 colors) is very harmful for the hair.
Therefore, light hair needs special care - and special dyes
Dye for blond hair is recommended. ammonia free. Such paints damage hair less, they can be used more often. They give a good result on bleached hair (with proper selection). Paints without ammonia do not lighten hair, do not give a yellow shade on blond hair, the result is “tone to tone”, but we need it! If you do not have gray hair, which must be painted over, then choose paint with the smallest percentage of peroxide in the developer.
