Micathermic space technology
In early January, the Swiss company Stadler Form announced the launch of the release of its most interesting series, innovative in the technical part and attractive in design. Although today in the field of fan heaters it is difficult to come up with something new, this brand has prepared a new product for release, interesting on several points at once.
For the isolation of fuel elements used material, previously used only in space technology and, oddly enough, in cosmetics. This is Micathermic, one of the subspecies of artificial mica with a very small structure. This approach allowed us to minimize thermal resistance while maintaining the protective properties of oxidation.
Naturally, the air heater is equipped with all the most modern control systems. This protection against overheating and overvoltage, the ability to set the desired temperature in the room, based on the information taken from the sensors, time relay.
Another highlight of the upcoming series (which echoes the fact that the material for insulation is also used in cosmetics) is the author's design of devices, which has many options. Thus, fan heaters can easily fit into any interior, and they will not appear there as foreign bodies. It is also worth noting that the new fans and their drives for supplying air to the heating elements are practically silent, nothing will interfere with comfort.

The development of aerodynamic geometry
One of the first such approach was applied by Electrolux. If earlier in the development of fan heaters, the greatest attention was paid to heat exchange processes, considering that the air itself would be distributed throughout the room, then the designers of this company paid attention to aerodynamics.
Last year, the first models appeared that have a carefully calculated mode of air passage both inside the case, past the heating elements, and at the outlet. Thus, it provides not only the optimal movement of heated air flows, but also the absence of uncomfortable zones.
In 2015, this idea was picked up by many other developers of fan heaters (primarily from China), so the market is already waiting for the release of cheaper models that implement this principle. Considering how quickly even the most complex design developments are adopted by companies from the Middle Kingdom, we can expect that by the end of this year we will be able to purchase affordable air heaters with excellent air distribution.

Combination with ozonizer
Timberk has presented a ready-to-release fan heater with patented Oxygen Safe technology. The essence of the principle of operation of these devices is that, in addition to heating the air in the room and controlling its humidity (which is not new for a long time), they also monitor its quality and also saturate it with ozone. Everyone knows how pleasant the air is after a thunderstorm — this is precisely because lightning discharges convert some of the oxygen into ozone. Fan heater Timberk performs the same function (only, of course, without thunder and flashes).
Air ozonation allows not only to make a more pleasant atmosphere in the room, but also eliminates unpleasant odors and kills pathogenic bacteria. Similar technology existed in fan heaters before, but Timberk engineers went further: now the amount of ozone in the air is also controlled. For reference: although this gas is good for the body, in excess, ozone becomes a real poison.
The new fan heater was created in the high-tech style, and also has all the options inherent in modern household appliances - remote control, the possibility of programming, etc.

Bladeless Fan Heaters
Dyson is the only company in the world that produces devices of this kind using a patented technology (although pirated copies already appear). The Dyson AM05 does not use an impeller to create air flow. The pressure of the warm air is created due to the special configuration of the air-conducting channels. When moving through a narrow slotted channel located along the contour of the oval of the device, the air flow rate increases. And due to a certain aerodynamic shape of the contour, the total air flow increases 6 times. This approach allows not only to reduce power consumption, but also allows the device to be completely silent. Attractive is the design of this series, which resembles a large blowing device for soap bubbles.
This year they promise further development of the line, and it will be not only in improving the technical characteristics (which are already much higher than analogs in this unit), but also in increasing the variety of design forms, the device should fit any interior.
