The total cost of installing an attic staircase consists of the following costs:
- the cost of the attic stairs (it ranges from several thousand to several tens of thousands of rubles, depending on the material, shape and size of the stairs),
- payment for work on fixing the stairs in the doorway left for it in the attic floor - depends on the model of the stairs, and also on whether you will do it yourself (for example, with an assistant), that is, practically free of charge, or hire professionals to do it.
Also in the costs it should be noted that to install the stairs, it is necessary to prepare in advance the opening in the attic floor in strict accordance with the dimensions of the future staircase, and to reinforce it along the perimeter with transverse beams.
In some cases (if you are going to use the attic rarely, for example, only for repairing the roof), you can do without installing a fixed attic staircase by limiting the installation of a hatch in the attic floor and a small ladder. As such a ladder, you can even use the "wall of the Swedish" home sports area, installed strictly under the hatch.
