Choosing tea - what will the marking tell?

How to determine the quality of tea packaging?

To determine whether you like tea or not, it is not necessary to try it. There are three main indicators of the quality of tea, which you can easily evaluate directly in the store:

Appearance of a pack

The best packaging for tea is opaque. But large manufacturers often make a box with a window on purpose and put tea inside in a plastic transparent bag. The size of the pack is small, the tea will not have time to spoil (provided that it is properly stored), and the buyer can visually assess the quality of the sheet. It is better to pour tea from such a pack into a jar.

Of course, the packaging must be well sealed, without damage, with a clearly indicated, not expired. Inscriptions from a pack should not be erased.

Place of collection and packaging

The best is tea packed at the gathering place. For example, if Ceylon tea is packaged in Sri Lanka, this can already serve as a guarantee of its quality.

Marking

Are you going to buy Indian or Ceylon tea? Pay attention to the logo:

Ceylon

Indian

Darjeeling

Assam

If the tea is genuine, the corresponding logo must be present on the package.

In terms of quality indicators, tea in Russia is divided into the following varieties (according to GOST 1938-90 for black and GOST 1939-90 for green), which indicate the pack. Which one do you like more?
