We begin, naturally, with water supply conditions. When you have a full-water well at hand, any will do (by the way, please note that self-priming pumps, even if they promise a fence from 8 meters, you shouldn’t work with a level lower than 4 - and there is less noise and load), but in deep the well will require either a submersible pump or a pumping station with an external ejector. Take into account the height to which water will have to be supplied, and not only vertically: even a horizontal pipe creates resistance, depending on the location of the pump relative to the water intake and pipe section it is taken to be 4 to 10 meters of a horizontal pipe per meter of “vertical”.
At ejector (and with an internal ejector, and with external) pumping stations have a characteristic feature - sensitivity to air in the system. An air-oversized pump can work for a long time without gaining pressure and inevitably overheating. Therefore, carefully approach the assembly. On the first start, until the pump is filled, do not be afraid of the increased noise and long work - this is normal.
An integral part of each pumping station is expansion tank (a hydroaccumulator). His task is to keep a certain volume of water under a given pressure. That is, when you open the tap, it is the tank that starts to drive the water, and it is only when the pressure drops below the relay calibration that the pump takes over. The more water consumption is planned, the greater must be the tank, and the pump must provide a performance that is guaranteed greater than the planned flow. But it is not necessary to “overdo it”, otherwise the pump will pull the water out of the well and work dry. And for him it is literally like death - therefore, if protection against dry running is not provided “out of the box”, do not forget that it can and should be installed independently. Especially if you leave for a long time without turning off the pump.
An interesting option (albeit an expensive one) is frequency controlled stations. Why? The fact is that conventional pumps operate on the “on-off” principle, and with high water consumption, the stability of the pressure will not be the best. "Chastotnik" can also adjust to the flow rate, even with a minimum tank volume, stabilizing the pressure by changing the engine speed. In addition, the frequency control perfectly implements a “smooth start”, and in water pumps, the starting current is not only high, but also decreases more slowly than, for example, in electric tools: switching-on occurs immediately under load, not idling.
And most importantly: whatever pump you choose, provide him with sufficient clean water intake. From the constant flow of sand, the “firm” will die like cheap “china”.
