I do not know how others, but even with the purchase, I did not expect such speed and thoroughness from the robot vacuum cleaner. Of course, this unit is designed for daily maintenance of cleanliness in the apartment. This is not a cleaning company, as some people think, which came into your home to clean up the mega-super-duper trash after the party :) This is a device for people who like a clean floor without a mote and hairs, and it copes well with this, if you clean daily or every other day. I am not a competitor, yesterday I bought this miracle of technology to replace the LG VR5905LM, which was taken under warranty, since it was charged one time, but today I’m writing is not too good, but, I think, an objective and comparative review. Honestly, the feeling of buying is ambivalent. On the one hand, where it passes, it removes everything qualitatively, LG has left it a little, BUT navigation in it is at the same level as that of a vacuum cleaner is twice as cheap. For both robots, the main problem is 40m. a room with an island, with a corner sofa in the middle on flat legs, through which they both shuffle, with stones in a niche, which LG modestly drove around and occasionally had to be rescued, and iRobot for the first cleaning had already 6 times gone there the greyhound drove and, stuck, shouted about Error number 1, while for some reason he doesn’t see two virtual walls near the stones (this is also a question and you have to go find out to the seller). They both clean the dining group with 16 legs somehow: iRobot is therefore stronger, it moves the chairs, the faster they get out and run away. LG didn’t have enough power to move the chairs, so he spent more time fornication in them and, accordingly, cleaned them a little better there, iRobot had to be dragged back under the table. The island in the kitchen area is both ignored :) he dragged this one to him, too, only after that both cleaned around the island and free space in the center of the room.
He cleans small rooms well, goes from room to room and without door sensors, did not find the base, was discharged. As a result, the apartment is clean, but you cannot call it self-cleaning; you need to save it from stones and transfer it to insufficiently cleaned areas.
I sit and think, maybe LG should have taken again? After all, it is necessary to control the quality of cleaning in both, so I talked, taught how to clean, and I also teach this Pacilis, LG left little more garbage, but it costs twice as cheap.
I put 3 *, because the price of iRobot is clearly too high, it would be cheaper to put 4 *.

After knocking down several antique floor lamp. A light flower stand with a vase on top is the most dangerous element of the interior! He took down the stand, broke the vase, swallowed water. Water leaked to the neighbors !!! After drying, the vacuum cleaner started working again. Chairs are not very heavy construction easily chases around the room.
Secondly, the carpets are terra incognita. The vacuum cleaner most often perceives the edge of the carpet as a corner of the furniture and bypasses the carpet along the contour. I clean the carpets separately, with a regular vacuum cleaner.
Thirdly, about the good. Laminate, tile, and similar surfaces almost lick. Footprints of course remain, but there is no dust or sand at all. It goes well in the corners. Nice cleanliness! This is my third robot dust. At first there was a 500th series rumba. The battery died in a year, the new cost as much as half a vacuum cleaner. A simple Chinese analogue was bought for replacement, it worked no worse, but also died six months later, broke down, and we have no service for Chinese robots.
Here we bought rumba 880. What can I say? In general, the manufacturer hangs noodles on the ears and that's all. What is the power there increased 5 times? The motor costs the same power, see, 5 times according to the manufacturer. All the same as in the 500th series and sucks as weakly. This is an electrobroom, not a vacuum cleaner. It is easier to clean the brushes, I do not argue, but the hair is also wound in the same way, especially on the brush axis. We had to buy another lighthouse coordinator, two in the kit was not enough. So I bought the most expensive robot, and I also have to buy additional components. The robot is very noisy, it is impossible to wash the dust collector with water, it drives very stupidly, bumps everywhere, leaves uncollected places. If you need a normal robot, choose better with a built-in room mapping system.
When irobot makes such a robot with a room map, then I can write a positive review, shamefully, 2014 is the year of the yard, all known competitors are already making robots with normal navigation.
The battery is still the same nickel metal hydride. It's time to put Li-Ion for a long time. They probably save on the price, but the price for the end customer is too high.

I bought 880 - now I don’t know what to do with it ... I launched 880 into work. Visually, it’s clear that he left the apartment untidy with bushes. I launched 560, and he got out of the whole apartment by filling out a third of the container for collecting dust. So I did 10 times, thinking that maybe 880 remembers rooms BUT! The result is the same. It's a shame that I bought it in a company store in the USA and now I don’t give it back.
