Reviews of TV LG 42LB631V
Virtues
- Bought 07.07.2014, good tv. There is a built-in WI FI, it can be controlled from a smartphone, the sound is normal, smart is a theme. I use the 4th month - I'm happy. I updated the software a month ago and the image with dynamic scenes began to tremble. This morning I installed the latest software - it works well.
disadvantages
- No critical comments. The image is 4 and no more when browsing SD channels, and so HD is excellent! Do not look at the refresh rate of the screen (500 Hz is complete nonsense, no more than 100 Hz). To a specific disadvantage can be attributed (almost all LG) uncomfortable remote control.
Comment
Good TV in this price range.

Virtues
- The quality of the image from the Tricolor HD satellite is perfect. WI-FI is excellent. SmartTV is at its best. While everything suits.
disadvantages
- The screen is a bit glare but not particularly annoying.
Comment
Used for three weeks. As long as everything is OK.

Virtues
- It works and is moderately worth it.
- The usual remote is nicer than that of the Samsung.
- 100Hz?
- Solving problems with digital channels. I just picked up and assigned to the encrypted channels large numbers through the option to move the editor. Now if they pop up when you click on the numbers - then at the end of the list. Well, missed them too.
- However, this was not the case. Digital channels may be periodically lost. Saves the TV reboot. The corresponding topic is on the web forum - Digital channels are missing. The problem has not yet been solved on the current stable firmware (and it is not entirely clear whether it is purely software or not). I apologize to all those who were encouraged by the possibility of normal work with digital and analog channels simultaneously.
- I can not say that it applies to all (all of a sudden it is a hardware problem of single instances), but keep in mind that by setting both the number and the analogue at the same time, you can have problems.
disadvantages
- Floating quality matrices. Visible light in the lower left corner, even at low brightness is visible on the broadcast channels. If it was not - it was quite good. While lying. If it was not there, there would be an uneven illumination on white. Although again I lie - the unevenness is distributed very evenly, like a chessboard.I think this is a merit of direct illumination, it would be better to have made the Edge. There used to be only Edge and Direct with local dimming, now Direct is everywhere, but blackout is only in older models, and in the rest only backlight artifacts. Actually, I see it for the first time. Although the usual viewing of the ether is not annoying.
- Braked webOS. It is still finished and finished (firmware 4.32.20). Take, for example, setting up channels. We need to get rid of the encrypted channels found in the cable number. Delete unnecessary in the TV editor is not possible. You can select the skip option. Suppose that in a manual search, the load to the open channel is poorly encrypted, but they pop up when selecting channels by pressing the number buttons, even if they are marked as skipped. For example, you click on the number 2 and instead of the analog channel number 2 in the first place will be encrypted missed channel number 2.
- In addition to this canoe with digital channels, even such an elementary thing as returning from the search menu has been crookedly done. For example, you missed and instead of the editor chose the search. It would be reasonable to press the return button to return to the higher menu item, but the return button works like the EXIT button, and you start your quest on the brake menu from the very beginning. At the same time, the EXIT button itself in the search item does not work at all. I would recommend LG to give those firmware writers who are responsible for setting up the channels, to throw grateful users into the crowd. Tearing would take less time than loading webOS.
- No flash in the browser.
- The legs of the stand - the solution is very controversial. Not all pedestals are so wide. The TV was taken under the bracket and it turned out to be not important, but for flexibility it is better to take an ordinary leg.
Comment
Who is to blame and what to do?
Before buying it is desirable to test the telly. In bright light shop light on the dark will be difficult to notice, but you can try. And on the white fill, evaluate the features of the implementation of the backlight - whether it suits you or not.
Flash, though not, but the player works on HTML. A list of online resources with HTML players is on the webOS forums. The main infa there, you can still read the dedicated 2014 models branch on the trunk (ixbt). There is also a crutch version with ForkPlayer.
PWM is specific, but it is not a monitor either - you will not sit close.
Telek was chosen for parents. 3D they do not need, and smart functionality too. Now I would probably choose the simplest model, but I’m only seduced to 100Hz. No, the matrix there is really 100 / 120Hz (LC420DUH (FG) (A1)). On the other hand, the big question is, do you need these 100Hz? In CRT, this reduced flicker. Distinguish this TV in everyday use from the TV with 60Hz matrix hardly anyone can. In addition, the manufacturer has clamped on HDMI 1.4b, and a simple HDMI 1.4 is above 60Hz for 1080p as a standard, although some of them managed to overclock to 75Hz. Those. 100 / 120Hz from the computer does not get vidyuhi that would be useful in games.
Those. the real difference between simple models (not counting the network, of course) is that in the absence of support for H.265 (HEVC) and DTS from the built-in player (I’ve not checked these technologies on the official website, although there are rumors that HEVC is for 4K telephones only) - Take your flash drive with a roller in the store), but in the number of HDMI and USB. The matrix may be a little slower in response, but again, it is unlikely that anyone will notice. But the settings menu in the TV will not slow down.
UPDATE. Changed the rating to 3. Telek a little bit zadolbal, I was disappointed in the 2014 line on WebOS. Unlike its good old 46LD550, in which of the jambs only a wide glossy frame and the delay of the indication of the inclusion.

Comment
Satisfied with the TV, I wanted to buy an androyd console to the TV in the end, all you need is in WebOs. If tomorrow there was again a question of buying and knowing everything + and - this TV would still buy it.
