Reviews of APC by Schneider Electric Smart-UPS 1500VA LCD 230V

Advantages: - Decent output power and very quiet built-in cooling at full load; - Nice design of the updated SMT line with respect to SUA; - Informative and user-friendly LCD screen; - "Cold start", constant self-test when turned on; - Supports device power-up mode when power is restored; - There is filtering of radio frequency and electromagnetic interference.
Disadvantages: - High price for home use; - Non-switchable display light (maybe just didn’t figure out how to do it yet) without Russian support; - There is a backlash of the back panels of the sockets when connecting cords (maybe it's only in my sample);
Comment: I connected a system unit with two GTX 690 video cards and a 1200 W power supply unit to it, a 27 "LCD monitor + a socket block in a 19" rack: 55 "LED TV panel with an ONKYO amplifier and four speakers + 1 NAS storage and 6 external I -Store of blocks, Playstation 3. It shows loading by 87%. For almost 6 minutes I kept this whole economy. It is under the table, on a rolling stand, it works silently for a while (I use it for 4 days without shutting down)

Advantages: The display, all information about the parameters and settings is available from the UPS. The UPS is also easily configured from the front panel.
Switched groups of sockets, it is possible to configure the disconnection of a group of sockets with power to non-critical equipment at a specific event, such as reducing the battery charge to a certain level. The updated software allows you to configure all the parameters of the UPS through the web-interface. Everything is clear and intuitive. It is possible to turn off the annoying squeaking when working on batteries, the signal will turn on when the battery discharge is minimal.

Disadvantages: The UPS makes a bit of noise compared to the APC SUA 1000, which did not make any sound at all when operating from the network. Fans turn on only during battery operation. In the standard firmware there is no function to turn off or dim the display backlight, the problem is solved by contacting those support. Firmware updated, everything works. The only thing you need for the firmware is a com-port or a network management card. When flashing the UPS disconnects the load, so first unplug the computer from the UPS before flashing.
Comment: I am satisfied with the purchase. UPS pulls 2 computers and LCD-TV and all network equipment. With all devices turned on, the load is 58%. The power supply in the house is relatively stable, a stabilizer worked a couple of times in two months, but the drawdowns were insignificant. The UPS did not switch to batteries. UPS is a worthy continuation of the Smart UPS line.
