Advantages: I have a laptop for about a year. From the merits I can name a very pleasant job with a laptop. I took the maximum configuration with 4k display and 12GB of memory.
The keyboard has a very pleasant move, I work for it alone allowance. I spend at least 9 hours a day behind a laptop, I write a lot of documentation and so on.
The display is very pleasing to the eye. I work a lot with text and graphics, my eyes do not get tired for the day of work.
The computer is loaded in 50 seconds from the Power off mode. The computer works silently, and is not heated.
You can play toys. The launches of Skyrim, The Witcher3 and Tombrider on a medium setting are all fine. You can raise a little higher at the expense of overall performance.

In my model, you can increase the amount of RAM, setting an additional bar at 8 GB and thus the total amount will be 12 GB. Although they could have inserted 8 GB of a decoupled module instead of 4 GB. Then the total amount would be 16 GB. For my work, the more memory the better.

Immediately I bought another 8 GB of RAM and changed the hard disk to SSD and would recommend it to everyone. Productivity increases several times, battery life increases by an average of 1 hour at the expense of SSD. I was looking for a light and powerful laptop (ultrabook) with maximum features and an ssd disk to carry to the university and to work. The choice was between ux303ub and ux305, in 303 there is a backlight, discrete vidyuha and a more powerful processor, which influenced the final decision, although in 305 there was ssd, which was also desirable. When buying, I immediately changed the hard drive from hdd to ssd 256, it works 5 times faster and was cheaper than thousands by 20 than if I had already taken ux303 from ssd. MacBook did not consider, in principle, it is necessary software that does not exist for Mac.

I regularly work with CAD systems (Compass, Siemens NX, Solid Edge, etc), PhotoShop graphic editor, Sony Vegas Pro and VisualStudio 15, and sometimes I launch several such powerful programs at the same time and never, so that it hangs or zaps, it is chic! There are no performance issues.but sometimes it gets warm, when I completely overdo it with loads, but not critical, this is normal. Of course, 10 Windows have their quirks, but this is not the fault of Asus. I installed Ubuntu as the second system, I don’t have compatibility problems, although I use it as a programming tool and for the Internet.

The assembly is super, the material is very pleasant and it is clear that it was made very high quality. There is a backlight, with it it looks much cooler (in 305 it is not!). The screen is also very cool, but I would like to have more brightness, but also provided enough. 3 USB ports, USB flash drive comes in tight, which makes me happy. Separate attention is the touchpad, it is magnificent, I did not notice the difference between it and MacBook, it is gorgeous. Charging keeps well, 3-7 hours depending on the degree of stress.
