Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i Reviews

Evaluation 4
Advantages: - good sound (for wireless headphones)
- build quality and materials
- good shumodav
- working hours
- work great as a headset, the interlocutor hears you perfectly (as you do) even on a busy street
Disadvantages: - the headband is tough enough and after an hour of wearing I want to fix them on the head there comes a little discomfort
- there is no hard case in the kit (they put only a bag that does not protect the headphones in a backpack or bag)
- for the money that is asked for these headphones, you hope to see high-end wires (charging wire and mini Jack) included
- poor functionality of the application for the phone and the disgusting firmware update headphone (version 5.0.4) !!!
Comment: Opinion before updating headphone firmware:
Shumodav of course does not drown out all the noise from the approaching train in the subway, but without it I am no longer presenting a trip in public transport. I listen mainly with the included shumodav and the headphones keep the stated 18 hours confidently. I'm not an expert on how to play "good headphones", but among all the wireless headphones that I tested before purchasing (Bowers & Wilkins PX and P5, Sony WH-1000XM2, Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II, Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear Wireless and more others, whose name I don’t remember) these impressed me the most. For 4 months of use, the headphones have not lost their appearance at all. I use it with the iPhone 8, I never fell off the bluetooth, I carry the phone in my front pocket, sometimes in my backpack, but the connection is always positive (whether you are on the subway or on a plane). The transparency mode is a very good thing, you can hear everything well if there is no strong wind. The touchscreen is responsive, it works even with gloves (the only thing that is not very convenient is the adjustment of the sound, it turns out that you twist your finger at the temple with all passersby). Great headphones!

Opinion after updating flashed headphones:
After the first connection of headphones through the proprietary application, you will be offered to update the firmware of the headphones .... DO NOT UPDATE THE HEADPHONE FIRMWARE !!!!!
3 months I went with the firmware out of the box 5.0.1 and did not know grief, everything worked fine, nothing buggy. The devil pulled me to upgrade to 5.0.4 ... the proximity sensors started to go crazy and the music playback stopped 100 times for one track (I had to turn them off), the transparency mode started to turn on by itself, sometimes the touchscreen stops responding at all (and almost all control of the headphones is done through it), the on / off lever of the headphones can also refuse to perform its function. In general, headphones for 35 thousand rubles. turn into a pumpkin after updating the firmware. You don’t expect anything like that from a well-known company ...
