Before this model there was also a Brita jug, which served for more than 15 years, until it was accidentally pushed with water from the table to the floor. The design of the jug has a hermetic closure of the lid (the jugs of Aquaphor and Barrier do not have hermetic closure of the lids), which excludes the ingress of unfiltered water into the filtered when the jug is tilted. The cartridge is securely fixed in the upper tank (in Aquafore and the Barrier - hang out and fall out when the jug is tilted). I recommend Brita Aluna XL to everyone.

Disadvantages: The cartridge is fixed without a click - there is no doubt whether untreated water will leak out due to a leakage fit. The risks on the hull with marks of the volume of purified water would not hurt, although if you completely fill in and don’t pour more, you will get 2 liters anyway. Not cheap cartridges. But there are analogues, for example, at Aquaphor half the price, although they have a smaller resource: 170 versus 250 liters.

Comment: Keep in mind that this is not the instruction manual, but on the cartridge packaging it is indicated that the first 2 times after filtration, water should be poured out, and you can drink it ONLY from the next batch.
