Advantages: Full frame (with all the resulting advantages) for reasonable money, excellent autofocus work in the dark, the camera is quite compact and light, low noise images, quiet shutter operation, high ease of operation compared to old cameras, the presence of moisture protection.
Disadvantages: Minor bugs in the interface and management, too large RAW files with a small increase in quality, poor-quality mRAW format.
Comment: I use this camera as the main one on cycling trips, in the summer I was with her in Iceland under prolonged rains.
The camera justifies my hopes, although there is still room for improvement. Auto-ISO with display in the viewfinder, improved interface, more convenient and logical control, a lot of settings - all this makes it much easier to work with the camera in the reporting mode. Delight low noises - here ISO 25600 can be used quite freely, if you attend to noise reduction. Autofocus snatches objects even in such darkness, where they are almost invisible to the eye.
The mRAW mode disappointed me in terms of quality - I assumed that this would be the main mode for shooting photos that are not critical to quality (10 MP is enough for the eyes), but in fact the pictures are frankly soapy, worse than 5D. It remains to shoot in normal RAW, where each frame weighs 25 MB.
Despite the excellent overall control of the camera, there are some minor unpleasant shoals, which, however, do not interfere with shooting (especially in RAW):
one.On the upper small screen the current picture quality is not displayed.
2. There are no direct buttons for setting white balance and flash correction.
3. Some of the functions used are hidden in the menu. For example, to connect via Wi-Fi to a phone or PC, you’ll have to dig into the menu for quite a while, especially if you’ve previously connected to something else.
4. When viewing photos, you need to click on the magnifying glass to gain access to the increase.
I like the Wi-Fi and GPS functions. Conveniently, the camera can automatically merge photos onto a computer (and immediately display them on the screen) during the shooting. GPS is also useful in small exits, when not taking a navigator with me. The process of discharging the battery with all these features can be monitored in the menu indicating the charge to the nearest percent (and not "full" - "half empty" - "empty", like on old cameras). It is very convenient that several batteries can be attached to the camera, and it will remember the charge of each of them.
In general, the camera is excellent, albeit with minor flaws.

Advantages: - ISO. Both range and noise
- focusing
- live picture
- ff
- ability to control by wifi without shaking the device itself
from small things or irrelevant for me:
- built-in settings for correcting XA for lenses. If you put 50/1. 4 (a little against the light of chromatite), the camera understands and somehow corrects these things, miracles!

Disadvantages: - imperfect application for iPhone: excerpts up to 30 seconds and mode B, in which you need to hold a button on the smartphone screen with your finger, laughter)
- a little inconvenient at first glance zoom when viewing
- the location of the browse button is somewhere to the right, in the dark and not used to poking anywhere, but not on it :)
- the backlight of the upper display is short, the display itself has poor viewing angles (surprisingly, but so)

Comment: in 2009 I bought 450d, in 2011 - 50d and now, it's time to get it from hands, with 12k nastreom, but 6d, full frame. By this time, I have a couple of good lenses and I’m just reincarnating, like 2009 is again!
the first starry night, an opportunity and immediately: http://500px.com/photo/80915513/milky-w-by-sergey-babin
so far I have shot 200 frames, but already shaken by noises, or rather their absence at 6400 or even higher, by focusing the central point (and I never learned to use others) almost in the dark. just grab hold of any light or highlight and voila!
the 1/4000 shutter speed is compensated for by a sensitivity level of 50, so it is not fatal
I am satisfied with the purchase as an elephant, I do not understand those who complain about the bb or quality settings button. Are you shooting jpeg? As far as I know, when processing raw these parameters are set with a bang.
the sound of the shutter also deserves praise, such a pleasant rustle. S mode is a little quieter and a little longer.
Ravas stretch perfectly, especially after 50d
If you are still thinking about taking / not taking and you already have some kind of optics, then I advise you to take. Perhaps the best machine among my friends, I don’t regret my money.

Advantages: - Full frame
- Low noise
- Ease of use (with some reservations)
- SD card, support UHS-I.
- The ability to adjust the autofocus zoom at the long and wide ends
- A lot of settings that allow you to sharpen the camera "for yourself"
- Very tenacious battery
- Ability to control from your smartphone (do not need a remote!)

Disadvantages: - Autofocus. The central point is good, but only - the side points are no good (they are not crosswise). With a significant perekadrirovaniyu, the DOF is shifted, and it results in a miss in focus. For “short” lenses from 24 to 70 mm, this is not so critical, on longer ones, as well as at a wide angle (16-17 mm), it is already frustrating. It is the autofocus system - the main difference of this camera from the 5D markIII
- If you compare the picture with the 5D markIII, then the six have some kind of subtle "plasticity" of the skin in the portraits. On the coin skinton plastic. But the average viewer is unlikely to notice this difference.

Comment: The most important advantage of the Schlester is low noise! At ISO 1000, the picture doesn't make any noise at all. It just inspires!
But autofocus leaves much to be desired. Works well only at the central point and without subsequent recapturing.
And in terms of ergonomics, the device seems somewhat simplified. This is especially true of the main control dial - it is too small. The battery pack improved the situation somewhat, it became more convenient to work with the disk.
Many criticize the photo view mode, but it seems to me that it has become much more convenient. In the settings, select the increase (up to x10), set by the button with a magnifying glass, and voila - with one click we estimate whether the picture is sharp.
It is convenient to control the ISO by pressing the SET button and the upper wheel.
To fix the BB, two clicks are enough - with the top button on the 5D markIII the same algorithm, if taken in Kelvin.
Burst speed is small, but for most cases it is enough.
The SD card is a plus for me. I was already tortured to look for suitable CF in online stores. And SD can be bought in any stall and photos to throw on any laptop. In addition, the camera supports UHS-I cards that are not inferior to CF in either speed or reliability.
Wi-Fi at first seems to be an unnecessary appendage, but for shooting at long shutter speeds with a tripod, it perfectly replaces the remote and shutter release - the camera can be controlled from a smartphone. And right on it to watch the photos received.
Many argue about the waterproofness of the six. Filmed in the freezing rain, and in terrible snowfall. The camera was all wet in the ice. No problems. After only blew the buttons with a pear, removed the remnants of moisture (the fact that it is blown out, and not inside, also says a lot).
The camera is worth the money, with proper skill and with high-quality lenses gives an excellent picture.

Advantages: Full frame, great picture on high ISO, great autofocus, GPS and Wi-Fi
Disadvantages: Expensive original accessories. Wi-Fi settings are too far hidden and confused.
Comment: Regarding autofocus on dynamic scenes. Filmed biathlon competitions. Getting into focus at 99%. About 1/4000 do not even worry.

Comment: Bought primarily for landscape astrophotography.
Good work on high sensitivity for reasonable money - what I was looking for. And found in this camera.
Instead of a thousand words, look at the RAW http://vpr-accords.do.am/light72.CR2 (noise screens are off, 15 seconds, f / 2.5, ISO 16000). After the 550D I was shocked by these results. Trim the levels, suppress the noises - and you get an acceptable picture. I specifically share the raw frame so that you can see what the matrix is capable of, not the software.
And if you add 15 frames and subtract the dark current with the read current, for example, in the IRIS program, you can get this picture:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lisakov/8730411835/in/set-72157629132549791/lightbox/
If anyone is interested in the details of the procedure, write letters, send detailed instructions.
For astrophotography, the Canon 6D is amazing.
They wrote about the dust here. I did not notice anything like that, and I change lenses often.
I use the camera also in campaigns, I remove the nature. No complaints.

Advantages: Full frame, low noise, Wi-Fi, dzhiPiEs. Sturdy case with good grip, not too heavy, comfortable controls under the right hand. Chic shutter sound. Silent shutter mode, so as not to attract attention.
Disadvantages: Not found.
Comment: For me, the perfect machine, especially after 550d.
What others point to as flaws does not concern me personally:
- no 1/8000? I twist the diaphragm a bit and get an even clearer frame.
- the second memory card? Well, somehow I lived all my life without her.I have several small-sized SD-NIS (8-16 GB), distribute the risks between them and regularly upload photos to the computer. I have never lost anything in 3 years.
- No white balance setting? And great! Less extra buttons. I BB always expose in lightroom pipette.
- the body is not the same as the 5d? Well, the camera is two times cheaper! In general, the case is the same magnesium and dustproof, waterproof, like the brand, only the top is plastic, because for Wi-Fi and DzhiPiEsa you need to pass radio waves, so sorry :)
- Few points of focus? And what for a lot of them? In 99% of cases, I use only the central one and it is quite sharp. For the remaining 1% of cases, 11 is enough for the eyes.
For my purposes - travel photos for later printing photo books is the best machine. With such a matrix everywhere I take off with my hands, a tripod can be given to someone.

Advantages: Ergonomics - most of the buttons and wheels are located on one side and it is convenient to get close to them. Very catchy - in my hand - the ideal. There is Wi-Fi and GPS, very good for poor lighting. Full frame of course! The shutter sound is just music (albeit subjectively); if you put mode S, then it is almost inaudible. Central sensor autofocus sensitive to -3EV. The battery is very tenacious. Switch modes LV / Video. JPEG camera is very, very good. HDR-mode and multi-frame noise reduction are effective, but only work in JPEG.
Disadvantages: Marketing is meaningless and merciless. That's what it cost to leave extra functions at the buttons near the top display? And in the display to leave information about the selected quality and white balance? Well, the general "oak" matrices Canon, this is not as a disadvantage but as a feature.
Comment: Compare with: 600D, 60D, 5DII, 7D. The size is smaller and lighter than the 7D and 5D, but much larger than the 600D. I still get used to the fact that 50mm is no longer a portrait painter). Noise and dynamic range - a head taller than the 60 and 7D and better than the 5DII. What used to fly unconditionally in the trash can now be pulled out. Focusing system. 11 points and 1 cross (36 of them in the D600) are rather weak, but to compensate for this annoying fact, the central point is endowed with record (according to Canon) sensitivity. Compared with the other points of the six and with 600D. Reason not to believe - no. Everybody scolds zooming photos on viewing. This is unusual, nothing more. For a week I got used and tried to do the same on the 600D. Hayali main wheel control. Personally, I feel comfortable. Yes, on the coin pad with a joystick it is more convenient, well, so for that he and the penny. The shutter sound is much quieter than 600 in normal mode and completely inaudible in quiet. The victim of marketing fell information content of the upper display - removed information about the settings BB and quality, which once made much obmateritsya. The video mode wins in comparison with the 600D, and even more so in comparison with the 5DII - a very convenient switch with an activation button, and in comparison with the 600D you can use the Av and Tv modes. GPS - so far I have not used this feature, but it is worth noting that it finds satellites rather quickly (compared to the Nokia 5230, while the latest data on satellite position and ephemeris downloads satellites from the Internet). Wi-Fi is also not a very demanded feature yet, but it’s an interesting one, they would update the EOS Remote application. There are no revelations on the work of the automation of exposure metering and BB - it works exactly as in the 600D. The only thing I can find fault with is chronically overcoming when shooting with flash (Nissin Di622 MII). In a word - if you are firmly hooked on the Canon system and hunting a full frame for cheap - 6D is your choice.
Over time, I will try to notice something else.

Disadvantages: What are the disadvantages for a camera of this class? Yes, we want to get all the same that we have for example in 5DMIII? And the shutter speed is 1/8000 and the shutter, and the focusing system, and 2 memory cards ....But let's be honest with you. If all this is implemented - this will be MKIII, and not 6D. Therefore, I will go over the minuses, which can be difficult to call minuses, but even in the younger models they are fixed.
1. The absence of a rotary display. It is possible to break spears as many times as necessary - good or bad, one thing is sure - it is convenient. Sometimes it is necessary to shoot both above the head and from the belly, sometimes there are all kinds of flowers on the ground. Although it reduces somewhat the overall reliability, but not so critical. The main hand straight to have :-)
2. Touchscreen ... hmm. You know, when shooting through LV, this is a very convenient thing to access the settings, or to specify the focus point, its absence is not so critical due to the presence of a convenient window for viewing settings on top of the carcass, but all the more convenient.
3. Focusing system. No, you do not think! In general, there are no claims as such! Personally, I use the central point in 99.99% of cases - there can be no complaints about it, a good qualitative cross. But! On the same 650D, all points are "crosses", respectively, if necessary, they can be used, and this is on a much cheaper camera!
I repeat! These shortcomings are very relative, some of whom do not even hold for the shortcomings, and they do not spoil the general impression of the camera.

Comment: By and large, the camera can be called "60D on steroids." Or even 50D :-) because there is no such thing as a pivoting screen :-)
Now I will reveal a little pluses.
1. This is a full FF, with a full picture. Everything. Point. About the picture to say it makes no sense.
2. ISO. One of the reasons why I took this camera was exactly ISO. For the specifics of my shooting is such that it is important. Just not transferable feeling of "freedom" after 50D, 40D and 650D that I shot before.
If necessary, you can not hesitate to put 12,000, and nothing about the fact that 6000 business without any questions is nothing to say.
3. Ergonomics - for some reason, many are scolded, but in vain - I personally, after 50, only didn’t adapt to the zooming of the picture. The rest is all at hand and easily accessible. (well, except for BB ... although the necessary function is also not very often)
4. GPS. Because of its voracity of electricity, the function is not for "constant wearing", but I have repeatedly had situations when this feature in the camera was sorely lacking ... I still don’t know where some shots were taken, and you will find figs in these places in the forest now .. Of course, it is decided by buying a GPS navigator ... but why? :-)
5. WiFi. Many of my colleagues, reportage photographers on this feature very licked. A great way to quickly transfer photos to the editor. All you need is a mobile with WiFi and fast internet, not tablets, not card readers, not laptops. In general, of course, WiFi can also be used to control the camera from a phone (on an android or iOS), but by and large it is a toy, although quite interesting to yourself.
Well, the general fabrications.
If this is the first camera, there is no fleet of optics, flashes, etc. - then you can still pick something from competitors. Well, just for the sake of pro forma.
But if you sit on a canon crown for a long time and tightly, overgrown with FF optics, peripherals and so on - and you strongly want to switch to FF, but Mark 3 does not work because of the same "toad" - take this carcass without thinking. She is a head taller than any crop. Everything.

Everything.

Advantages: - FULL FRAME. Canon's latest full-frame camera. The price is normal, especially since it falls)
- BITRATE. When video-shooting of the same scenes, the file bitrate was on average 5% higher than that of the 5D mark 3. Yes. The camera also makes stronger compression, where it is possible without loss. For example, if you compare a completely black frame at 6D and 5Dm3, then at 6D the file will weigh significantly less. Perhaps another compression method is written for 6D.
- HIGH PERFORMANCE ISO. When shooting video, the camera shows slightly less noise than 5Dm3, although most likely it has a stronger built-in noise level. And of course, the overall superiority compared to 5dm2. ISO 12800 is quite a normal picture gives - a minimum of color noise. It is also possible to set limits for auto-iso.
- SIZE AND WEIGHT.The camera is relatively light, not large. Nice sitting in your hand. Despite the fact that the material for the camera is chosen cheaper - plastic, it is high quality, pleasant. For some reason it was easier for me to balance it for a steadic than 5DM2.
- SOUND SHUTTER. I personally liked the new shutter sound, as soft as a rifle with a silencer from you))
- BATTERY similar 5dm2 (LP-E6) by type of battery (this is a plus), but with a chip other than 5dm2 (this is a minus).
- NEW MENU. I personally really like the 6D, more convenient than in the 5D mark III
- SWITCH between photo and video mode. Personally, for the video is very convenient.
- DISPLAY. Slightly better quality than 5dm2 and, in theory, slightly better quality than 5DM3 - the fact is that they have different sizes and the number of pixels is the same. So the pixel density is 6d higher.

Disadvantages: For me personally, as for a video player:
- EXTRACT 1/4000. In the video mode and on 5d there were the same limitations on exposure, so do not get used. Shooting with this shutter speed is not recommended in principle (when video is lost, the softness of the picture is lost, when photos are taken, there is a heavy load on the mechanics).
- SD CARDS. At first, it seemed to me a big disadvantage, because SD loses in CF speed, but now there is a fairly large selection of smart SD cards. So this minus also disappeared with time.
- BATTERIES have a different chip than 5d m2. Therefore, if you bought Chinese batteries that worked on 5dm2 and were charged on the original charge, then on 6d they most likely will not show the CHARGING INDICATOR, and will not even be charged by charging 6D.
- NO BUTTONS for quick white balance adjustment. Although of course this is not critical, and a matter of habit. Also the absence of other buttons, for example Picture profile.
- WI-FI does not work in video mode. So for me, its functionality is zero. For photographers, it may be useful. On iphone and ipad it works fine. Without any obvious problems.

Comment: I wrote mostly practical pros and cons, from the side of VIDEO-SHOOTING) I bought for 59 with a normal guarantee. Already there are cheaper options. I bought 5Dm2 and 7D immediately after the sale, and I am very pleased with the camera (I have something to compare with). I think the choice is OBVIOUS if you are doing a VIDEO. Overpay from $ 1000 for an improved focus system in 5Dm3? For the 2nd memory slot? Everyone decides for himself. For a photo, it's better to take 5D mark 3 of course, for 6D video. Although if you choose between 5D mark 2 and 6D for a photo, then the choice is definitely in favor of the 2nd camera.

Advantages: - Low noise at ISO 6400.
- Full frame.
- Wi-Fi, GPS.
- The display, which is visible immediately sharp picture.
- Settings used ISO range (handy thing).
- Shooting video.
- Connector for an external microphone.
- It seems like there is moisture-dust protection.
- I also liked the electronic level of tilt detection of the camera.
- Lack of built-in flash (I always get in the way).
(others have already said the rest)

Disadvantages: - !!! Attention! There are three camera versions! (WG, G, N) Pay attention when you buy, and then buy without Wi-Fi or without GPS!
- Ergonomics bud specially worsened!
- does not shoot in RAW in automatic modes.
- The shortest shutter speed - 14000. Push to use the ND filter. (If you use light lenses, then buy Mark3! It's sad ..)
- In the video mode I can not set shooting with aperture priority. Automaton itself is selected. In fully manual mode, you can already specify the aperture.
- Auto white balance is lame, but there is no quick access button to the balance at the top. Only through the menu.

Comment: A stripped-down version of an excellent camera. They cut everything thinly, barely noticeable, but in the work I felt these limitations.
People! There are three camera versions! With Vai-Fi and GI-es (ver. WG), only with jeepiep, and without both! Versions of photos: "Canon WG / G / N"
I need Wi-Fi for the studio, so that the flash drive does not pull without end. The GPS really missed me in interesting travels, but here it is.
Iso 6400 keeps excellent! Focusing is great too! A wide selection of video formats, but you can not take pictures of Rav.
The result: the camera is happy, but every now and then you come across some seemingly imperceptible restrictions! I think the pros will annoy this. Lovers will not notice. I am not a pro, but I have felt the limitations in comparison with my old fotikom. I do not like them. But the ISO is magic but simple.
In short, not everything is so chocolate.
