I would say that this is a sure middle. Medium, but very good and reliable. Of the cars, I would compare the Denon PMA amplifier line with Toyota SUVs, where 520 is rav 4, 720 is highlander, 1510 is LC Prado, 2010 is Land Criser 200. That is, not yet premium, but not budget. Of course, not the BMW X5, but a good and reliable mid class that will faithfully serve you for a long time.

Comment: And now I listened to him for the first time at high volume. So - no distortion is noticed, the bottoms are beating over the edge - no complaints about the inadequate bass can be presented. The sound of the amplifier is quite up to par.The averages are a bit clearer than on the Yamaha A-S 500, but if it were not possible to instantly compare two amplifiers at the same time on the same acoustics, you would hardly notice the difference. The sound was estimated in the linear mode (the DIRECT button is on on both amplifiers). Complaints about the poor sound of lows can most likely be associated with incorrect polarity of switching on the low-frequency loudspeakers, or the characteristics of the speakers used are not good enough to reproduce bass. The feature of the amplifier to reduce the depth of the tone control with increasing volume did not affect the sound quality. About this feature is written in the instructions attached on the disk. I use acoustics from 30 Hz and bass without complaints. I change the amplifier's rating from “good” to “excellent” after testing at high volume. However, the highest volume has not yet been reached for ethical reasons.
