Advantages: 1. Quiet enough in IVF mode
2. A good picture even in a badly darkened room.
3. Given the price, a great option.
2. A good picture even in a badly darkened room.
3. Given the price, a great option.
Disadvantages: Narrow range of zooming and at the same time long enough focus for understanding. from a distance of 4.2. meter, the smallest picture in width - 2.7 meters. This can be understood from the characteristics, but in fact is not so obvious. When they write about the ratio of the size of the image to the distance to the screen, for some reason they don’t say that width, height or diagonal are considered to be “sized”. Pros probably in the know ...
In fact, probably there is nothing to find fault with. But I just want to warn customers.
Out of the box in the projector, all kinds of picture enhancements were pre-installed. The first impression was that I wanted to immediately put it in the box and hand it back to the store and, once and for all, give up the LCD technology and return to the proven DLP. More in the comments

Comment: Most of the "flaws" are not related to those, because This is not a surprise, the characteristics are stated. Another surprise turned out to be: So, out of the box I set up the projector without any problems and leveled the trapezoid, fitted the screen (by the way, there is no lens shift in this model). The picture did not fit into the existing Screen (width 243 cm), I generally expected this, but in principle the screen was ready to change.
But then, I tried to turn on the cartoon and the child ... a beautiful image in statics turned into a quiet horror. The picture floated, the objects on the screen lived independently of the background, some kind of permanent lag of the picture. Fast movement turned into some kind of flickering on the screen. I do not know how to put it in words, but the sight is terrible. To be honest, I suspected that these were problems of LCD technology (I don’t like the picture on TVs, but there’s something similar in some kind of hypertrophied form). However, I decided to delve into the settings of the image and found a bunch of some improvements. Fuck knows why they are needed, but when they are all picked up, the picture began to behave quite decently. After that, I watched the movie in Full HD with no complaints, including fast scenes.
So keep in mind that if you see something terrible on the screen during installation, do not worry, this manufacturer kindly tried to improve your image. :)

Advantages: 1. Epson))), yes, in principle I took it because there were Epson matrixes on the previous projector, and it otpahal more than 10 years, and continues to work.
2High brightness and excellent colors, if you want to, you can set up a real eyebrow and drag from acidic landscapes in harsh documentaries about Baikal, for example. )
3. Phenomenally low signal delay when connected to a computer. I thought the plasma was fast before I connected this projector. I feel the delay is less than a frame, as I sit behind the monitor (as I feel it ... but like any motorist my car, I simply skated to Trekmania for more than a year at speeds under 900km / h :-))).
4. Very high-quality "improvers" pictures, interfere unobtrusively, but it is worth turning it off, you immediately realize that the picture has become clearly not so "ringing" or something.
5. Pretty quiet.
6. Instant shutdown. Very comfortably. Plus there is no risk that the resource will drain the lamp if someone pulled the cable "on the road."
7. The shutter on the lens is a definite plus (but also a little minus, see flaws).
8. MHL support and built-in speakers are directly useful when connecting a telephone.
9, You can remember as many as ten image settings.
10. I want to mention the built-in system of trapezoid correction. At the first connection, when I tested it, I thought that I was so clever, so I set it exactly. But no, the trapezoid auto-correction worked. )
11. Very light, quietly hung on one central bolt (there was no desire to redo the mount from the previous projector).
12. And I also note that the 3LCD technology is an undoubted advantage for me, and it’s not about the effects of rainbow or some color brightness, I’m just against a pile of moving parts in the DLP, the extra motor rotates, the color wheel sometimes wedges, there are micromirrors there, it’s a fact But to the pixels on the LCD fell, that I did not meet.
13. Oh yes, 3D support, but for me it’s just a nice bonus, I don’t use it. But I will buy glasses to be. Who knows, suddenly Tetris, Arkanoid and Pekmen will play with new colors in full 3D ...)))

Disadvantages: 1. Really really infuriates only that you can turn on the projector with the shutter closed. This is the real opening ... about ... puncture, yes, let it be a puncture. The children held the remote in their hands, and you will not notice how the projector worked for a couple of days quietly so-so. Yes, such a situation is rare, plus you can fight with administrative methods, set up auto power off, etc. But I have it connected to the computer from which the signal goes constantly. That's what prevented the lock from turning on - a mystery.
2. The absence of manual adjustment of the diaphragm is very unusual. Or automatic, or no.
3. Automatic aperture in fast mode annoying with its rustling. Again, the Sanyo diaphragm was also heard, but it was not so intrusive. Well, maybe not used yet.
4. Wretched remote. Well, in general, and no highlighting. Perhaps this is a tribute to the "wearable".
5. Dark shades give a little blue. Unusually, because again, on the previous projector, it gave a little bit of green, and it was perceived as something normal, but here it is a little strange, in theory, the eyes in the dark are more sensitive to green, it is physiologically more correct to shift the dark shades into green. However, if you need it all rebuilt.
6. There is no lens shift. Actually this is a niggle, and they did not promise it in the characteristics. But it is still convenient to shift the widescreen movie under the lower slice of the screen. Now you have to tread the buttons in the media player, but this is a matter of habit.
7. Another such rarity as VGA input does not work very smoothly, there are a number of problematic modes and associated glitches, in particular, the screen settings for 24fps went off through me, and it’s very inconvenient that the scan / resolution settings and so on. P. not remembered. But this is a specific feature, through HDMI everything is bundle in any mode, no complaints.
I want to note that this is all. Well, that's really nothing more to complain. On any, the projector works out its price tag without questions and there are no competitors.

Comment: He took an old Sanyo PLV-Z3 to replace the old one, he was an excellent theater projector, and survived two lamp shifts, but he was tired of looking at HD and reluctant to buy again the “tetral”, while it’s not clear what I’m overpaying with modern technologies. For the price of a good theatrical, it is better to take a big UHD telly on quantum dots or ice and sit down close. Well, in ten years the technology has advanced, this conditionally mobile device at a cost of three times less (and taking into account inflation, and every five) exceeds the old tetral Sanyo head. Samsung plasma is hanging nearby (during the day), the projector image is clearly not worse, the clarity is the same, the saturation is not inferior, the brightness is better, except that the notorious “black level” is worse, and then you can argue with that, for me, so if not absolutely black, as in OLED, then its "level" is meaningless to discuss, the contrast is more important.
It is worth noting that the brightness is clearly higher than that of the plasma, and on bright frames the projector accurately exceeds the plasma, because on the plasma, if the bright spot is more than 10% of the area, then the telly mutes the brightness, otherwise it would be a kilowatt heater, and not a TV.
And it's a pity that there is no manual adjustment of the aperture, sometimes I would like to dim the brightness. I have a small screen, 92 "in total, and 800 lumens are redundant for it by all standards, THX recommends 60 lumens per meter, well 100 tolerable, and here comes out more than 350 in eco mode, a gray screen suggests. However, new standards from TV sets they are trying to demand high brightness, and some modern ones already roll over 500 candels (see rtings.com), so maybe such brightness will eventually become justified.
Interpolation, by the way, works not only at 24fps, I don’t know what the algorithms are, but if the video is in 25 frames and the screen frequency is 50 frames, then the interpolation also turns on and works very noticeably.
But still, SVP on common plans and quick scenes gives a better picture, the artifacts of the projector are climbing, but the projector can be improved by anyone online.

Advantages: The projector was bought for home watching movies / TV shows to replace the previous LCD.
For your money - a great choice. I don’t like DLP (rainbow, noticeable eye strain, etc.), newer technologies are expensive, that's why 3LCD.
Almost enough settings (unless there is not enough physical tilt-shift), for my viewing conditions (in the evening, without the overhead light) it shows excellently even without the modes of enhanced brightness. Full-HD movies are great, TV shows from the phone / tablet via apple tv are also good.

Disadvantages: - Since the projector is not exactly in the center of the screen, I do not have enough physical tilt-shift (the previous project had it), digital keystone corrections are still not ideal.
- In the modes of high brightness noticeably noisy.
- A flick of the diaphragm is heard.
But this is all nagging, in fact)

Comment: In general, I am glad to purchase - received, from tz. image quality, even a little more than expected.

Disadvantages: 1. No optical output
Comment: I bought it for 35000r in a famous online store in Germany in August 2016. You can enumerate many advantages, but as they say it is better to see once. I will not hail DLP or praise the 3LCD choice for yourself, but I can say one thing, guests who want to watch a movie in our house or play PS4 in the MK4 will not drive them away). Since there were a lot of guests, I asked if there was enough black about it, about colors, about the picture as a whole in comparison with the cinema, they all said that they couldn’t be distinguished and didn’t expect such a quality from a home projector. The screen was made from the wall, just painted gray with the paint "tikkurila" the color "H499". And do not read any nonsense, about black, lack of brightness, color coverage or something else, who likes to watch movies, you will be satisfied!

Advantages: 1. In eco mode, it works quietly like benq w1070 and the brightness is enough 2. Very good sharpness and clarity of the image, for me it's even slightly better than that of benq w1070 3. Good color rendition in all modes 4. I did not notice any jerks when viewing, everything very smoothly 5. Suitable for gamers, no image delay
Disadvantages: Loses a bit in black at benq w1070 on dark scenes
Comment: He took the projector in exchange for benq w1070, he could not reconcile with the rainbow and had a headache from viewing, otherwise the projector suited everyone. Epson EH-TW5300 is a very successful model, when viewed in the demozal immediately decided on the choice. If someone is confused by a rainbow and causes discomfort when viewing from dlp, I can say with absolute certainty that this projector will definitely suit you. The only minor drawback is a slightly worse black level, otherwise comparing these 2 projectors side by side did not notice the difference.

Advantages: A pleasant appearance, the presence of a horizontal keystone correction, there are video enhancement and frame interpolation settings, which is a rarity in this price segment. Great colors
Disadvantages: The absence of a lens shift, but this is a cavil, for this money this feature is nowhere to be found. Weak black color (really weak), but I already heard about it, so I was ready for this, the gray screen solved the problem for me, I can’t say that black was perfect, but for me everything was fine, plus the contrast improved. As many people write, in a normal mode it is noisy, but it is also not critical, if you listen to the sound through a normal system, it completely blocks it. In economy mode it is very quiet, my ps4 works louder. Of the minuses, I will also say that the interpolation option of frames is blocked in 3D mode, which is not so scary, but for lovers of smooth images there will be a minus.
Comment: I liked the projector, before this was an old Benkyu, switched to fullhd, chose this particular model for the presence of frame interpolation. Doubted first because of the unfamiliar technology 3LCD, but now absolutely satisfied. In a lighted room, the image is very bright, the colors are juicy, 3D is excellent (although the brightness could be more in this mode).
Reviews of other models of the Epson pro curved upper edge of the screens turned out to be true, the middle of the screen is a centimeter and a half lower than the edges, but to be honest it’s not critical at all. I do not think that this is a model for real gourmet cinema, who collect a separate room. I suppose they will choose a more impressive model, but for ordinary film and game lovers, this is a great project, and for that kind of money, getting interpolation is rare.
A little about interpolation: I have never seen information about it anywhere, but I ran into the problem of video brakes on some signal sources. For example, a video from a MacBook mercilessly lags with this function, and ps4 and epl tv work perfectly. Nexus player also does not crash, but managed to configure the player so that everything is fixed. In general, there are nuances on which I still do not understand.
