Epson L805 Reviews

Advantages: Print quality, CISS. Easy wi-fi setup
Disadvantages: The flimsy case, the fastening of the SNPC is weak, slow printing, spacing, depressurization of the print head.
Comment: Immediately after the warranty, a depressurization of the head occurred, that is, the blue color seeps into red. Blue began to squint. In general, money thrown to the wind. (the ink was used original out of the box)

Advantages: Wi-Fi, "Cartridges for 70ml" for a reasonable price. Vplone conveniently and predictably prints with android.
Disadvantages: "Out of the box" - depressurization of the printing head, i.e. immediately a marriage. Overflow. WiFi falls off. Win 10 x64 + L805 = and could normally make them friends with ICM profiles - But VM with Win XP 32 as a guest OS coped with the task with a bang.
Comment: Obviously, strongly - overflows, though dropping the cans of ink on the same plane as the printer will almost solve the problem. At the moment, when I replaced the PG, I printed 300 pages, of which 100 photos, 60% of them in the garbage dump, I couldn’t understand what was wrong, because I ordered icm profiles in different places. If you do not bother - it almost does not lie on the color rendition.

Advantages: Excellent price and super quality, easy pouring, saving on the split
Disadvantages: format to A4, weak body, poorly fixed snpch
Comment: First start. All tests are excellent. Installation on the mac was. Immediately updated apple firewood for Epson printers and then updated the printer firmware and software to the latest versions. Print on Lomond paper super gloss 260 g with support up to 5760 dpi, photos with the same resolution from 5dmark 3. The picture quality is perfect. Slightly more saturated and bright is obtained, compared with the view on the screen imac 2013. But it only pleases!

Advantages: wireless, elementary informative step by step algorithm settings. ink supply for 3 years in the kit (check)).
Disadvantages: mediocre color quality
Comment: for the schoolboy the most it. but if you need high quality color printing, the printer should be different. not enough saturation. but, thin lines (drawings) prints well, does not smear. from the moment of start to the exit of the sheet less than 30 seconds

Disadvantages: - The body is somewhat weak. It feels like some kind of cover or panel breaks or falls off.
Comment: I studied the market of photo printers for a very long time and meticulously. Having a great experience as a photographer and good equipment, I wanted to get a printer that would meet the following requirements: high print quality, no problems with consumables, Wi-Fi.
For a long time, I dreamed of a Canon Pixma PRO100s. High quality print incl. b / w It looks very nice, the cost is relatively acceptable, A3 +, Wi-Fi. Everything would be great, but cartridges can not be found even on the Internet with a strong desire. And the flow there feels wild (cartridge volume: cartridge cost).
Then my dreams led me to the giant Epson L1800. Everything would be fine, but this huge beast can only connect using USB -> located in the area of the desktop computer, it would occupy the entire desktop. And the cost leaves much to be desired. I did not see the point of overpaying exactly 2 times only for A3.
I would like all the same that is in this printer, only with the ability to print in A3 format (it is reasonable to add to the price not 100% of the cost, as is the case with the L1800, but 50-70% maximum).
To summarize: This is probably the only printer created for people. Not important for what purposes. Though for family needs, even for professional ones. There are no analogues on the market.

Advantages: Worthy quality of photos, low cost of printing and WiFi because of which it was purchased.
Disadvantages: Does not indicate the remaining ink in the driver.
Comment: It is not in my rules to buy new items and products for which there are no reviews at all and no information. But here is another case. L805 is a receiver L800, which I once wanted to take and all the pluses minus like I know. Therefore, I compare it just with its predecessor. From what has changed and much to the eye.
1 - WiFi availability. It was for this function that I overpaid a couple of thousand and bought it instead of 800. The issue with accommodation was self-resolved.
2 - It is no longer necessary to enter any codes during refueling and reset the counters accordingly. Those. Epson has become closer to the consumer in this regard and do not bother with third-party programs.
3 - There is no ink shut-off valve that is needed for transportation. Aesthetically, the view has become better, but difficulties will probably arise if it is required to be transported.
4 - Disable the ability to monitor ink remaining through the driver. This is related to point 2. The ink consumption on the L800 is calculated from the moment the code is entered. Introduced the code, the printer believes that it has 100% refueling and then keeps counting at the software level. Because this feature was removed, the printer no longer knows how much paint it has, since we can top it up at any time. Of course, you can make a sensor at the hardware level, but who from manufacturers will go for it).
5 - No trial paper.
Now, about the quality of the photo.
There are 2 types of paper - Lomond 230 matte and gloss. When printing on a matte sheet, the color rendition is like on a monitor. On glossy darker colors. I will experiment with paper and possibly profiles.Even on the glossy lomond leaves a barely noticeable trace of the feed roller. There is no trace on the mat. On the original paper, too, should not be.
I hope for home use will last a long time. In general, I am satisfied so far. It is better to pay more expensive immediately than to splurge on the cartridges. I have already passed this stage.
P.S. A lot of complaints were about depressurization of the printhead of the predecessor. I would like to believe that the novelty they have finalized something in terms of reliability. Although not a fact, time will tell.
