Comment: I bought it because of the failure of the Asus P5B motherboard, and since this motherboard has DDR3 support, then let me think, I will buy the bar right away for 4GB Kingston 1600 MHz, but in vain I hurried so much! This bar did not start, I had a thought that this chipset was from the previous era, and then there were no bars on DDR2 larger than 2GB, and this one also did not start. The truth is, here one friend wrote that the double-sided slats are turned on, I didn’t have such on hand, I had to remove 2GB 1600 MHz from another 2a Corsair computer and they earned it.

Advantages: There were always gigabyte motherboards, there were no problems.

Disadvantages: A big minus for me is that the processor is practically not overclocked. On the old motherboard, it easily raised its e6550 to 2.8, this one does not start even when overclocked to 2.5.
It is also possible to connect only 2 coolers, on the old motherboard there were 4 connectors.

Comment: And so everything was done qualitatively, for half a year she worked in an old computer without any complaints.
I don't recommend those who are planning to overclock the processor.

Advantages: A great option for quick replacement of a burnt old motherboard

Comment: There are really problems with DDR3, but this is not a feature of this motherboard, but an outdated architecture. On this chipset you need to take two-way memory on 16 chips. And now almost all the memory is one-sided on 8 chips, that's the whole problem. I have two levels of DDR3 1600 for 4GB - Crucial BLS4G3D1609DS1S00CEU

Advantages: compact, has all the necessary extensions (for me), relatively inexpensive.

Disadvantages: until revealed

Comment: which was disappointing that only two slots for DDR2 (I had a layout of 1 bar for 2 GB and 2 bars for 1 GB each) had to be purchased, but this is trivial.
P.S bought as a replacement for Asus P5Q-EM, which is also a good option for a home PC
