For me, the main criterion in choosing a smartphone was the usual combination of 16: 9 sides and the lack of rounding on the sides, as well as the absence of flicker inherent in amoles.
Pre-installed Android 8, the EMUI proprietary shell works stably, looks pretty nice, but in many ways an amateur.
A capacious battery, about two days without recharging, does not speak in my case, and yet, there is no need to charge during the day; this is already an achievement, because I often look into games and actively use data transfer. Sophisticated energy saving system.
Fast charging when using the original charger, really faster than the Samsung.
The device is not heated either in games or during charging.
In those corners of the apartment, where my Samsung did not catch WiFi, this device keeps a stable connection, despite the low signal level. The same applies to work in cellular networks.
The set comes with a silicone case, which looks the simplest, but very practical, on the screen there is a factory protective film of suitable quality.
Infrared ... forgotten by everyone from ancient smartphones and at the same time useful. With it, the phone can replace the remote control with almost any device.
The LED indicator on the front panel is shallow and not too bright; at night it does not illuminate the room with flashes.
It is worth mentioning the physical button: in fact, it is not a button, but a touch panel, it is not pressed, while the navigation functions are present — conveniently, the on-screen buttons can be completely disabled.
The price of the device of this class is quite democratic in my opinion, I describe in more detail below.

Disadvantages: The most significant is the lack of official shipments to Russia, you can buy it in Moscow in stores with a dubious reputation, or order from abroad.

I wasn’t pleased with the sound of the old Samsung S6 EDGE plus, the music sounded noticeably better when using the JBL wireless speaker, the high and middle frequencies sometimes “croak”. Perhaps I have not figured it out yet and the matter is in the settings? I would like it to be so. From my own speaker, the sound is quite ordinary, I did not listen with headphones. More about sound: sound settings, including the equalizer, are available only with headphones connected, while listening with the speaker, the settings are not active. I tried to install one of the popular equalizer applications, but it was very buggy.

The rest of the little things:
Marked case - fat traces are visible well.
When shooting a video, the camera is rather slow in focusing.
The charger's native cable sits in the connector is not very tight, there is a moderate backlash, although this does not affect the charging process.
Screen glass - the so-called 2.5D, supposedly provides the effect of immersion. In fact, I don’t really feel this effect, but the protective glass on the screen will not lie very well, the rounded edges will either remain uncovered, or the glass in these places will not fit snugly to the screen, depending on which glass you choose. Fortunately, the radius is very small.
Instead of the usual micro USB connector in this device, there is a USB Type C, if you have an additional charger, you will need an adapter, the issue price is 100 rubles, it was not difficult to find it, but these are trifles.
The maximum brightness of the display, perhaps, is rather low, but I have not yet seen the device, on which the image is clearly visible under direct sunlight, so I also do not consider this to be something serious.

Comment: Overall very pleased. I ordered the model ALP-L29 (European) from the Emirates, taking into account the delivery and all incidental costs, cost 41,000 rubles. The parcel arrived in Moscow on the 7th day, after which I took it from the EMS office without waiting for the courier delivery. The device came in a complete original packaging. Included is a charger for British sockets (type g) - the adapter was found in the nearest hardware store, everything fits by voltage. The phone is updated without any problems "by air", everything functions as usual, except I can't say about NFC, I don't use it.
About the quality of the photo I do not write anything, I do not take pictures on the phone, although many "advanced" settings inherent in the SLRs are present in the pro mode. Dual LED flash, cool and warm. Out of curiosity, I did not notice any fundamental differences from the images with the S6 edge plus. When shooting video 60 frames per second in Full HD, can shoot in 4K.
As for the design, it is strict and quite ordinary for a modern smartphone, without corners.
The use of the second speaker is rather strange: when listening to music in the vertical position of the phone, the main speaker is working, in the lower part of the case. It is necessary to turn the phone in a horizontal position, connects the second speaker in stereo mode.
In the SIM card tray, there are two slots, the first is a usual micro SIM card, the second is a hybrid one, i.e. either a second sim card or a memory card.
Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro smartphones are recognized today as the most productive on the Android platform by the results of benchmarks - not a decisive moment, of course, but many will be pleased.

Advantages: Camera bomb! at the level of a decent soap box, evening shots without dirt, with deep black, full professional management of all shooting parameters, fun with 3D, etc., black and white camera also pleases))), the screen pleases with density, saturation and realism, the battery is real " longevity ", 2 days at least in the mode of active use, looks cooler than on the photos, Ali has smart covers, charging is super, for 30 minutes it fills up to 60 percent, everything flies, the percentage pleases and there is enough memory for me, I have an option 4/64, the music sounds very decent, compare al with iphone 6s, huawei sounds detailed and voluminous)))

Disadvantages: The charging connector seemed flimsy, the connector is inserted with a noticeable fixation and it pleases, but if you move the chip, it will noticeably play in all directions, although it may be necessary))) the phone doesn’t linger on charging)))

Comment: I use Huawei Mate 10 dualsim Black since December 9, 2017, there were no software failures, the connection is sure, before that I was sitting on iPhones, 4s. 5s. 6s. I was going to take the iPhone X, but I changed my mind in time))) X just smokes, in mate 10 the screen is really cooler in density and of course the CAMERA !!! 1.6 vs. 1.8 for iPhone., Plus two SIM cards or a SIM card + a memory card, an all-enabling Android))) The timer is ticking)))) Trifle, but nice))) Screen screen with double tapping, etc., etc. joy. Advantages: Excellent screen with the ability to change the resolution. The size of the case is rather compact. Cool, brown color (in my case). Flexible customizable touch button under the screen. Assumed autonomy - up to 2 days, with my (rather sparing) usage scenarios. Excellent communication and GPS.

Disadvantages: No water protection. Not critical, but somehow not comme il faut for the flagship in 2017. The interface sometimes podlagivaet slightly (but no more than other android flagships). The 18: 9 format would still be more convenient, in my opinion. The main drawback is the camera. She is not bad, but expected a little more. There was an opportunity on the go to compare with Iphone7 and SGS8 and both loses in general, in terms of fast, automatic shooting. You can get a good shot, but you always have to take a series of shots, because, the frame is blurry, then the white light will come up, then the background will become too dark. Maybe even improve with new firmware. The video did not shoot.

Comment: Used for three weeks. Normal version (not pro). Good, high-quality and beautiful smart. In general, I liked it. But I recommend to wait until the price drops to 35k.

Advantages: Some offers on this smartphone do not apply to it. The honor of them is about another smartphone, the Lite version, and the third sentence is misleading about the characteristics of the device. For example, the front camera on the flagship 2 (!) Mp. Disadvantages: There are no flaws, except for the already (!) modest 4Gb RAM for the flagship.
