Comment: I wanted to buy another model, but after demonstration by a consultant in the store, I fell in love with this car. Bought in May 2016 and did not regret. I like everything in it, sews all fabrics without whims. Clear instruction, you can sew using the pedal or the Start / Stop button, there is a speed control knob, needle threader, there is a needle up / down button (also convenient), I thought that these functions would not be useful, an extra overpayment, but now I can’t imagine without this sewing . All the necessary stitches, as well as wonderful decorative, overlay stitches, elastic stitches, sewing on buttons, automatic buttonhole stitching, electronic puncture effort stabilizer, necessary legs, extra bobbins, extra table, hose platform, display, all on buttons, easy to refuel, everything is shown . Of the denim, the jacket was stitched, the jeans were hemmed, everything is fine, of course, not at maximum speed, but neatly. This is not a production machine, but I did not skip the stitches. If, that did not look through, the machine will report an error. Very pleased and glad I bought this machine. I want to sew and sew.

Advantages: the machine is wonderful - with a relatively low price, it has impressive functionality, user-friendly interface, reliable operation.

Comment: I bought in 2014 in Citylink, I enjoy it so far! The main thing is to correctly choose the size of the needle under the appropriate sewing mode and type of fabric. In all other respects, the machine will be a reliable assistant.

Advantages: 1) comfortable design (separate backlit buttons for each seam with a hint on the choice of the foot)
2) a necessary set of basic lines with the possibility of their adjustment (length, width)
3) buttons start-stop, needle position, spot stitch, the ability to sew without a pedal
4) good lighting (mini-bulb is not a diode, 12 V 5 W)
5) hard case
6) quiet, powerful enough, smooth speed adjustment
7) horizontal shuttle, device for threading the needle
8) hose platform, accessory box inside the platform

Disadvantages: 1) weight (but it’s also about dignity - about 10 kg, but it is monolithically on rubber feet on the table)
2) there is no needle-puncture booster (the model is rather old, if I'm not mistaken, then the mid-90s !!!, driven by one engine according to the store representatives, but this is also a plus, since the power is generally higher,than modern 50W analogs versus 35 modern ones)
3) not quite confident work with thick fabrics (seams), especially when moving to them and back (for example, when sewing jeans)
4) although the warranty is 2 years, the store assured that the parts are already a problem because of the old age of the model (I can’t say it myself)

Comment: I bought a few days ago in Moscow at the lowest price of 14,680 rubles on that day. The price, of course, is not small (thanks to the party and the ruble exchange rate), but compared to more modern counterparts, about which there is an understanding that it can sew thick places more or less, this is the initial price. The store claimed that they normally cope with thick places of cars from only 20 thousand rubles. and above, instead of this, some Brazer was offered, which recently cost 25 thousand rubles, and now (about a miracle !!!) it has fallen in price to 20 thousand rubles. (again, thanks to the cheapening rate !!!). Not convinced - neither by design nor by weight (about 5 kg of everything, although maybe this is a prejudice - in modern ones instead of 1 motor they put a few small ones on each active node, hence the savings on the details connecting the nodes). motor on the needle (to enhance piercing). My personal opinion is that, all the same, they used to make more thorough equipment before - not for nothing this model has been on the market for 20 years and is still in demand.
Overall rating 4 due to not sure work with thick threads (not so carefully puts them, both thin and medium ones, although it regulated tension, and which needles were put), and with transitions to thick places (it sometimes skips stitches, although not always). I tried a special foot for difficult places - it also skips stitches (I did not understand the reason). And yes - this foot can be bought for 100 rubles! (in this store it costs 2 thousand rubles. !!! - like darling Janome ...).

Advantages: Omnivorous, sews both thin and thick fabrics: pick up needles, threads and modes as recommended. Very convenient control, not noisy.

Disadvantages: Not.

Comment: I bought my wife a gift. I chose studying the forums on the Internet. I wanted a machine for stitching jeans, curtains and other small works and children's clothes. Well, the maximum comfort and ease of use, the machine is super, met all expectations.

Advantages: The machine is just beautiful in appearance! Easy to use. All the necessary points are. The lines are smooth, beautiful. Decorative stitches enough. I tried to sew a double needle on knitwear and jeans, great! There are a lot of disagreements in the reviews on Internet sites about flashing different types of fabrics with a Janome 4030 machine. I can not remain silent, I myself was tormented by choosing a model, reading various reviews. Recently I purchased this model of a sewing machine. Now I can surely have my say for those who doubt that Janome 4030 sews an equally good thin and thick fabric. Jeans stitching in several additions, I did not even change the needles for jeans and did not put a special foot. Does not creak and does not buzz as they write in some reviews. It is more correct, of course, to change the desired needle, select the thread thickness for a specific fabric and change the corresponding foot. Thick thread should match the needle of a larger number. Knitted fabrics are sewn with needles with a blunt end, and skin is sewn with a needle with a special end sharpening for teething. I scoop this information on the Internet. We need to be more interested in the rules and methods of sewing, read the advice of experts and not make short conclusions.
For example, I read on the Internet advice on sewing thin fabrics, you need to put a sheet of paper under the fabric. I tried to sew the edge of a very, very thin fabric with decorative stitching, again without changing the legs and needles, everything is sewn just fine! And if you change the corresponding foot, thread and needle sew more!

Comment: I bought a typewriter for a small family business - sewing baby clothes. I use it for about a month and I am very pleased with it! Sews quietly, compared to my old Aurora 540, is almost silent, which is very important to me, since it is the children themselves. I got the anniversary version with flowers and 25 bobbins as a gift) the horizontal shuttle is very convenient - you can always see when you need to wind the bobbin. Quite a lot of operations and beautiful lines, sewing without a pedal, hard case. In general, I am very glad that I purchased it)
