Very satisfied.

Advantages: Small, weighs little. Threw in a backpack and forgot. It is convenient to remove from the parapet of the embankment, from the bridge (you can wind your legs on the railing).

Comment: Without a swivel screen on the camera will be very uncomfortable.

About the head agree, more convenient. More precisely, I can’t even imagine how to use it without a head. True, I bought the first one I got, sawed a little on top of the ball attachment and prileapal level superglue =)

In general, gradually I come to the conclusion that the device is by and large useless. There is very little where you can attach or put it, and it is not always necessary to remove it from a low position.

At first I wanted to buy his "younger brother", but he turned out to be much worse. Very much trembles and calms down for a long time.

UPD: as it turned out, it is also a good support for the tablet =)

Disadvantages: It is difficult to give the necessary position and it is very easy to lose this position.

Trembling, you need to put on a hard surface and be sure to use the cable / remote control - otherwise, after the shutter is released, the tripod may “dance” for some time.

Comment: The main advantage, of course, is compactness.

This tripod, finally, you can bend the letter "G" and stuff into a very small bag. You can unhook extra hinges and make the tripod smaller / lighter (I'm not sure how big the safety margin of the hinges is and how many similar releases they will stand).

Those. it is better to have this gorillopod than to have any of the other flimsy mini-stands or to have no tripod at all.

The tripod legs can easily be wrapped around a bitch or a pipe, as is done in many promotional photos: there is almost no sense from such a procedure, the whole structure will hang out and tremble - just to give a very unusual viewing angle under very good shooting conditions or with a high-aperture lens.

Advantages: Interesting design, customization flexibility and low weight.

Disadvantages: My config weighing about 2.2kg keeps on 4- (nikon D700 + 24-70 / 2.8), i.e. with declared 3kg the construction will be extremely unstable. A small sony camcorder holds up well.
Overpriced - American brand, and made in China.

Comment: Things have yet to be tested. But the expectations were justified - the pocket will not be too much delayed, unlike a normal tripod, which you often will not drag for a long time, but you have to pay for it with a height.

Update: BH1 relatives head arrived with a bubble level. First impressions - the most positive, because The design with a heavy machine has become noticeably more stable. From the fly in the ointment: the fastening-latch between the removable platform and the head is plastic, i.e.durability does not have to wait. Bottom line: if there is an opportunity to buy with the head, I recommend splurging.

Advantages: I gave it to him, he probably would not have bought and would be wrong. Good keeps my fifty dollars, and the more I do not need. Convenient in the fact that the backpack occupies one compartment under the lens.

Disadvantages: It does not replace a full tripod with the head, but rather complements it and has its right to life.

Comment: I use it mostly in the evening, especially when I am in another city - you don’t take a long walk with a regular tripod.

Advantages: Good thing. Easy to cope with my Canon 50D c whale 18-200mm, which is about 1.5 kg. Not as heavy as regular tripods. It can be easily fitted to any pole or tree, not to mention normal horizontal surfaces.

Disadvantages: Not enough ball head with bubble level. In order to change the slope you need to tinker with the "tentacles".

Comment: The ball head is already on the official website, but has not reached Russia yet. In general, I am satisfied and always carry in my backpack. Tripod rescued more than once in the evenings.
