I connected it purely for luck - I did not have time to look around, and all the necessary drivers were already installed without my participation, and Skype recognized the camera right away. The remote office has seen and heard all of us well, and we will have the opportunity to evaluate the image and sound when the second such camera is acquired.

Some take for example to monitor the object .. why? With all its advantages, the camera is primarily for conferences. Many people complain about a short cable, but it is short, but there is an extension cord included, besides, no one bothers to buy a longer one.

An important point for me was the microphone, (before that there was a pitiful Genius iLook 300 without a microphone), so - very pleased with the transmission of speech, the interlocutor hears me perfectly.

I chose between C615 and C525, - I surrendered under the design of the first, but there really is a good design.

Among other things, this is one of the few cameras that is mounted on a tripod, in some situations it is quite a valuable aspect.

Of the moments that did not like, I note the nominal function of shooting Full HD, in fact it is a good 720p, but no more.

As for the completely nagging, there is a complaint about ergonomics .. it would seem the design was thought out, but for the sake of beauty and brevity, it was necessary not to sink the lenses into the case, causing dust to fall on the glass and micro-scratches to be formed .. but as they say "not a cow buy "all conditional.

The bottom line is the Logitech HD Webcam C615 - a webcam that is really happy and perfectly copes with its tasks.

Some people write that autofocus is slow .. it’s not instantaneous of course, but if you recall the Canon 650D, autofocus is even slower there. Here is an asymmetric comparison for you.

I took for 2300 rubles, I think the price is a compromise - then only pro webcats, but they are already significantly more expensive.

I recommend to take, it is more expensive only for c920 .... I think 920 seems less practical by the criterion of price-quality. Too expensive.

It works out of the box in Mandriva / ROSA 2011 and Kubuntu 10.10 (in theory it should work in other distributions with a kernel 2.6.35 and higher).
Works great in Jabber video chat (Pidgin client).

Disadvantages: Short wire, about 1 meter. Included is a USB extension cable, but it is also short.
The stand is not very comfortable. Too low for desktop use and too shaky attached to the monitor (placed on top), there is a high probability of dropping it if the table is accidentally pushed.
