- well, the most critical shoal for me - begins to throttle under heavy loads. in PUBG after 10 minutes it is impossible to play, it gets warm and starts to lag. I tried different power modes, waited for a miracle of optimization from Flyme, waited for the thermal paste to "warm up" and everything would pass by itself - it did not wait. On w3bsit3-dns.com, most people say that everything is fine with them, the device in games is cold, but I was unlucky, 100% marriage. the store refused to change - had to sell.

4) fingerprint scanner in the screen. Very convenient and practical technology. Of course, there are sometimes false positives, but attention with this method of unlocking will be 100% focused on you.
5) Fast charging. No, very fast charging. You start to charge, and after an hour, somewhere 85-95%, given that the battery (although it is discharged pretty quickly) 3010 mAh!



I was quite happy. But, now a few nuances, for those who decided to take this phone (and it’s worth taking it!):
1) If you decide which one to take, black or white, take white! I am one of those who did not listen to bloggers and other people, and took the black one. Paws like a beast, literally after a few minutes of use loses its beautiful appearance. For the white model of such sins is not observed.
2) If you are an avid iPhone user, think a few times before taking it. Although the phone is modern, powerful, in frameless design, sometimes I sometimes regret that I didn’t take the Iphone 7 (of course a personal opinion, but still)
3) If you order from China, do not regret to overpay a little, and take the global version.I figured it out for quite a while, and I realized that in the global version the level of checks is much more serious, and, accordingly, the probability of marriage is minimal.

Advantages: I chose the phone for a long time, considered all the flagships on Snapdragon 845 from July to the end of September 2018 (I don’t play games at all, but from my own experience and not only software manufacturers specifically for Qualcomm processors optimize their products to the maximum, so in the long run proprietary processors from Huawei or Samsung). Previous phones were Xiaomi MI5, and before it Samsung Galaxy Note3.
As a result, I chose between OnePlus6 (a good phone, purchased such a spouse - 8/128 Gb, added a couple of lines about it in the comments), Xiaomi MI8 (pluses - NFC, but not compact enough and less like the design, there is also no 3.5 jack connector ), Xiaomi MIMIX 2S (if it were not for the front-facing camera and a fairly heavy weight, I would probably choose it for its compact size and screen, as I was used to IPS matrices), I also looked at ASUS 5Z (but not live, but purely on the reviews, mainly scared away the shell from ASUS).
NFC, wireless charging were not priorities (I pay non-contact, if necessary, from the Samsung Galaxy S3).
After Xiaomi MI5, I didn’t want the phone to be very bulky and heavy. In this regard, the 16th went very well. It is smaller than competitors in both size and weight (although partly due to the not very capacious battery). There is 3.5 jack, which I also use periodically (at work we often make long conference calls and bluetooth headphones do not always survive more than a day or two).
The screen is good, visually comparable, for example, c Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. I thought it would be difficult to use after IPS, but surprisingly, I quickly got used to it. There is no discomfort, but due to the larger screen size, it has become more comfortable to read, etc.
The battery strangely holds very well (possibly due to OLED-screen). When studying the statistics of battery consumption, it is clear that the main consumer is a screen, which indicates a good optimization of Flame OS (I have the 7th version on 8.1 Android). The phone is charging from the native charging for about 1 hour and 20 minutes (continued in the comments).

Disadvantages: No NFC, wireless charging, moisture protection (if these parameters are important).
The phone (like all modern flagships) is glass, so I immediately had to purchase a case. Included is a regular case, but it is very thin and does not completely cover the back and side. Although in terms of aesthetics are not bad.
The Flame OS shell is perfectly optimized (see advantages), but visually I liked less MIUI 10, so I put Nova Launcher (I like small icons and small fonts, and this launcher provides a lot of possibilities for customization). The phone also works smartly with it, as it does with the native launcher, and visually likes it more.

Comment: The continuation of the merits (above all did not fit):
The camera is good in the afternoon and that surprised is good in low light conditions (compared in detail with the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and LG V30). I associate this with the presence of OIS and the associated automatic programmatic exposure of greater exposure when shooting (because Zenit, etc., shot a lot with Soviet cameras and so on (with all that it implies), studied in detail the modes and operation of automation (exposed exposure parameters, ISO, etc. In general, everything is very good. There is also a professional mode, where, for example, to reduce blurring when shooting fast moving objects (children in the first place :)) you can fix the shutter speed, the ISO will automatically select the optimum one.
The second camera (for shooting portraits with bokeh) is less high-aperture and in low-light conditions it is better not to shoot it. Although the blur algorithms are very good.
The front camera is very good, the blur also makes very good.

To summarize, at the time of writing the review - 10/12/2018 I use the phone for 2 weeks and during that time I realized that it is much better than the Xiaomi Mi5 (for me), as in terms of a larger screen with minimal dimensions and weight, so gorgeous performance and cameras, autonomy, ease of ownership in general.

PS: I will add about OnePlus6 (purchased by my wife, already updated on the 9th Android), which also managed to be used - a very worthy competitor of the 16th, but with the condition that you get tired with large dimensions and bangs. Support for new versions of Android is even better, the battery is larger, the performance and cameras are comparable.

Advantages: The whole apparatus is generally liked. Before him was Meizu Pro 6S, the difference is heaven and earth. The screen is extremely pleasant, the color rendition is nowhere better met. Performance is also at the level that never slows down. It works well, very quickly.
