Disadvantages: In principle, everything is fine, but I expected that the bike would be easier to transfer races to the curbs, because they meet regularly on my route. Therefore, after about four months, a tolerable, but eight figure appeared on the rear wheel. I may be carping, but it is better not to ride at high speed over big bumps on this bike, let alone jump, even from small ramps;)
Comment: Overall impressions are positive, the bike was worth its money - 16 thousand rubles. And this is the money, in my opinion, which can be paid to an amateur for an entry-level high-speed bicycle.

Advantages: For your Lowcost level - the best solution in terms of price / weight ratio. Absolutely no overpayment for the brand, all components are reliable, no Chinese junk with incomprehensible names. The frame is sturdy, suitable for assembling an entry-level custom bike as stock parts wear out.
Disadvantages: Included is just disgusting tires. Immediately upon purchase, we remove and install a new one - otherwise punctures every 50-100 km and buzz.
Comment: Since the beginning of the season (and with the purchase, respectively) was 1300 km. So far, I didn’t have to replace any of the stock parts (except for rubber, I set myself a poluslik). Keep in mind that when buying ANY bike with mechanical disc brakes, you will have to adjust them periodically, clean the devil's wheels (which the author of one of the previous comments does not clearly do). The bike has perfectly withstood several 80-100 km of non-stop races and, I think, it will be nice to behave on mountain trails too.

That's what it squeaks? The most important thing is that at first it does not creak, the creak appears after 5 kilometers and increases incrementally. Creaks not only during braking, but constantly. And on the forums they write that not only me.
The chain on the bumps beats the frame.
Tires on the asphalt are noisy, with these tires the bike quickly loses speed - there is no reeling.
By the way, it is almost assembled from the box. you need to fasten the steering wheel and pedals, put the front wheel - that's it!
As for the quality of cheap merid. We bought great with my wife. She took Juliet 10. As I said, the steering angle is already on display at the factory. So here we have collected great. If the front wheel is set straight, then the steering wheel is turned to the right. Well, put exactly. And then the wife says that her steering wheel is crooked. In the end, we all returned as it was (i.e., as set up at the factory).
Imagine, you keep the steering wheel straight, the bike goes straight, and the front wheel is constantly tilted to the left. And VERY so noticeably rejected. And so it was from the factory. And do not say that I am a scythe, on my that bike everything is straight.

In the end I really liked the Cronus Cope 0.1. The characteristics are very similar to the Merida Matts 20- MD. The design is interesting, and the seat is comfortable. It took him, but to whom, as it is possible, this model may seem quite comfortable to you.

But since I decided in advance with the amount to the threshold of up to 17,000, on all bikes of this price category there were approximately systems of the same level, and everything became simple, since everything everywhere is the same you need to look at the build quality of all these parts in one piece. Well, as you understood, the best build quality turned out to be the brand of this company: MERIDA !! I decided to compare more expensive models for the sake of experience, for example the SCHWINN cross-country model for 60,000, and the MERIDA of the same model .. and the difference was obvious, in MERIDA, unlike the competitor, everything was perfect: there were no joints, all the bolts were lubricated and closed in the casing, nothing staggers, schwinna had a fork lift, which the store specialists tried to eliminate pulling up something, but how was the backlash and stayed .. and this is a 60,000-wheel bicycle ...! I also compared it with Author .. where glue is visible in some places and bolts are tightened so that rubber pads come out and other nuances ... In general, cyclists friends, I really recommend this bike model and Merida company.
