Metabo PowerMaxx BS Quick Basic 2.0Ah x2 Case Reviews

Advantages: Small, but powerful, lightweight, the battery holds a charge for a long time + there is a second one in the kit. But the day never landed. There is a charge indicator and backlight work place. Good in the hand.
Disadvantages: An awkwardly large case, as from a different model. Moreover, it seems that the place is full, but in reality there is nothing to put there due to partitions. It could be done exactly half.
Not very clear fixation of reverse switching, "soft" key.

Comment: I use almost a couple of years, the impressions are only positive. Twisted a lot of screws, everything is super.
It is also suitable as a small neat cordless drill, if the socket is far.
Made very carefully, solidly.
Chose a long time, very pleased with the purchase.

Advantages: Workmanship - just on top. It is evident that nothing is not saved. Weight. Strength. The size. Two speeds. Case
Disadvantages: Is that the price. But I think he is worth his money. They say that the battery does not like freezing temperatures. (Did not check)
Comment: Chose between Metabo and Makita, the latter was cheaper, but inferior in characteristics, batteries, and most importantly significantly in weight. In general, the toad was strangling me, but I won it and bought Metabo all the same and never regretted it. Good luck to everyone in the selection ...

Comment: The screwdriver is very pleasant to hold in your hand, and even more so to work with it. Balanced just perfect.
The torque is regulated with a pleasant click. The switch itself is metallic.
The magnet in the holder holds very well, but through short bits it does not attract even the smallest screws.
If you put an additional holder for bits, then we have a significant backlash, the same play with a drill with a hexagonal shank. But if all this is clamped into a regular cartridge, then no beating.
With active work, the battery lasts about 7 hours.
IMHO 4.5 points.
Even with its own minor flaws, the screwdriver is ideal for assembling furniture and performing minor work with screwdriving drilling.

Advantages: Reliable, accurate, convenient, powerful (for its size), compact, survivable batteries,
Disadvantages: Price, price price
Comment: It works for two years every day for 12 hours in the service station. Tremendous power at such compact sizes. Very handy for loosening twisting in hard to reach places. The force is very precisely regulated. Reliable margin is incredible. If you need a serious tool that needs to work, which will not die in 3 months, this is the best choice.
It is certainly expensive, but after a year plowing on it about the price you do not remember

Advantages: Alexander, Irkutsk.
Compact, lightweight, ergonomic, well-made, although China (a factory in China, but the controlling stake is in Germans), gearbox - metal, cartridge does not play, switching is smooth, without sticking and irritation, having battery discharge levels in the hand Fit optimal, excellent weight distribution, remove the cartridge - "with a slight movement of the hand ...", the work is soft with tangible reliability, as is the case with the entire lineup from 5 thousand, battery Hungary. Immediately: add lubricants to the reducer, for example, Stihl, lubricate the cartridge with WD-40 and is a great tool in your farm for a long time, although the price has jumped from 7 to 11 from June.

Advantages: weight, power, akki lithium 2ah 2 pieces, quickly charge, a suitcase, well, maybe the price, but this is subjective (in this design, the best and not the most expensive)
Disadvantages: The handle is full, but not critical for a medium and large palm, for a small hand I don’t really think it will be convenient. It heats well when drilling metal, but this is life! In general, the drawbacks are not significant.
Comment: The performance with such dimensions was very surprised, at first I thought that the baby was rather weak, took it for construction at the dacha and really was pleased with the professional tool and its capabilities. , everything that I used to pack into my bags with backpacks fit into it, and even one more larger shurik! Now to the country with one green suitcase for all occasions!

The size of the case, there is nowhere to put :)

Comment: Chose from 2, this and Sparky BR2 10,8Li HD, compared in the store. Looking ahead I will say that Sparky is also a very decent machine, a review in the relevant topic. But Sparky did not take it because:
-It is 2-2.5 cm larger than the MetaBack in all sizes.
- Harder (a little bit quite. But felt in the hand)
-Do not stand on the handle
- Does not hang on the belt
- Cannot be used without cartridge
-Well, Metabka liked more visually :)
Now about Metabo PowerMaxx BS Quick Basic. Made in Germany, acca in Hungary. There are no complaints about the assembly and the quality of manufacturing in general. There is no backlash cartridge. The handle is slightly thick, my palm is average. Balanced in my opinion perfectly. Akkum has never charged, the Indicator showed 2 divisions, and remained after 2 hours of work. I got used to the dosage of rotational speed for about an hour, reacts very quickly to pressing, I spoiled a couple of holes :)). Bit holder is equipped with a strong magnet, even with a cartridge, the bit "sucks" happens. The backlight is of course not at the point of drilling, but it helps a lot in the dark, it shines well. Well, in general, the feeling of reliability and pleasantness leaves the tool, I think my wire drill will now rarely be used. Time will tell by reliability, I hope it will not let you down.
I finish after more or less serious application. He drilled about 40 holes of 5 mm in a flat slate 8mm thick, and twisted about 70 self-tapping screws 45-70 mm into wood. And several long 120 mm.
Pros:
-easy to work is a pleasure.
-glove belt on a cool vesch! Since he worked at height and there was nowhere to put a lot of shurik.
-Battery after fully charging sat only 1/3.
Minuses:
- The cartridge churned out 2-3 times and the cue ball fell out, almost lost. The cartridge was tightening heavily, but still such a misfortune. The first time is!
- Sometimes when intercepting, especially when working in gloves, the reverse button was switched spontaneously.
Still satisfied.
