They advised to try the microtic, because in the new zyxel there is no 1300 Mbps, only 867 (due to the number of antennas). + Mikrotik has 1W predator, instead of 0.1W on zyxel. In practice, this did not improve the reception quality due to the fact that the wifi connection is two-way and there should also be a powerful transmitter on the smartphone / laptop. However, iperf shows real 550Mbps.

Advantages: 1. Stability.

If you find this router but do not know what an incomprehensible Mikrotik office is, then I inform you in human language, if you need a router that can distribute the Internet in two bands, in a relatively new speaker standard, and make it stable, then this is your router.Point! Spending about 1-2-3-4 hours of searching for information to configure the router under your provider, you forget about its existence. There is a class of devices that simply work and do not require attention. You do not think about how to reflash the light bulb? When turned on, it just works. Or about the fridge? It simply cools the products. So here, he just does his job and distributes the Internet, both by air and by wire. If you suddenly need something more, for example, reservation of a channel from two independent providers, then yes, you will have to read a little. But the benefit of information is now so much and in specialized forums you will definitely help if you do not find information on the Internet.
And now a little more serious.
I waited for this particular model for a long time. My previous router was annoying with the performance quality of the 5 Hz network. When taking a laptop out of sleep, it took 10-15 seconds to connect to the network, 2.4 everything was faster, but my radio broadcast is very tight in this range (about 14 networks with a minimum signal level of 86 dB from the most distant point). I try to use 5 Hz. There was not much to choose from. Especially in size. (a separate curtsy in the direction of size) I do not need additional features in the router, I need stability. Spend the day setting up the device was ready. I wanted it and got it. 5 Hz coverage is greater than the previous device. Bought in Latvia.

Advantages: An excellent router with everything you need on board for quite affordable money (keep in mind that this router, if you take it as a home machine, and as an average office one, you will have the next 5-7 years with a margin)

I tested the speed on a laptop with dual-antenna AC. In line of sight, connect to 866Mbps. Btest stably shows a little more than 300Mbps and 70% of cpu downloads. When returning to 2.4 GHz in the same conditions, it is no more than 100 Mb / s and is very unstable. Still, the 2.4 GHz band in an apartment building is very noisy.
