Advantages: sound on rock, pop, at the level of more expensive counterparts. For the classics, good jazz is much more expensive. So versatility is not at the expense of quality.
Disadvantages: no button on-off.

Comment: I had to buy because of the complexity of switching with the receiver Onkyo 595. No difference with the built-in phono stage. Whether built-in is so good, or Nad is so bad.

Advantages: Great sound for the money.
Disadvantages: No power switch on the unit.
Comment: I am writing about a more recent model PP2i. For such a sum - an excellent phono stage. If you are fond of vinyl sound, then for the first step - a great option. The sound gives a pleasant, clear and balanced. The next step will be far away for $ 400
