Nikon D750 Body Reviews

Evaluation 5
Advantages: 1. The universality of the camera. Allows you to use a large selection of professional features, capabilities, settings.
2. The high limit of effective ISO (up to 6400 put in the "auto" is absolutely free). Excellent signal to noise ratio.
3. Autofocus fast, accurate with a large selection of different modes. In auto mode (if there is no time to bother) it works clearly, never failed. It focuses quickly and accurately even in a dark room with a 60 volt lamp. (I haven't tried the budget lens)
4. The screen is rarely used, but still in some situations you can save yourself from crawling on your knees (for example, when macro photography from the ground), or from the difficulty of shooting in a crowd by lifting the camera above your head.
5. The camera is very convenient, at least for me. Disadvantages not noticed. Grip reliable, buttons become familiar and comfortable after several days of use.
6. In general, a camera with advanced functionality and rate of fire is able to work out in any professional status.
7. Additional amateur features in the form of Wi-Fi and the ability to record videos in Full HD format (1080 / 60p) and an inclined screen only add to this camera advantages.
Disadvantages: 1. Of the shortcomings with a big stretch, we can note the absence of 1/8000 exposure. But, given the working range of ISO, its absence can not be overlooked.
2. Wi-Fi is not very convenient, but perhaps this is my subjective assessment.
If I got a camera with "flare", I do not consider it a drawback. In the service, everything is fixed in the best possible way.
And this is one of the shortcomings, perhaps all.
Comment: I switched to the Nikon D750 from another system (Canon 70D) because of the desire to switch to full frame. You understand the difference pretty quickly, especially if you can make comparative test shots. In no way detracting from the merits of the former camera, the Nikon D750 camera quickly became familiar and comfortable. A metering with a modern RGB sensor with 91,000 points on board with an updated autofocus sensor of 51 points, 15 of which are of the cross type, make getting results, beautiful shots quite enjoyable and easy to do right after the first acquaintance with it.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: 1. Dynamic range
2. High ISOs
3. Crisp autofocus
4. Light weight.
Disadvantages: 1. Inadequate Wi-Fi
2. Inconvenient control buttons (small flat joystick and photo zoom button are located intuitively uncomfortable in the middle of the button bar).
3. No security screen
Comment: The main criteria in the choice of camera - DD, high ISO and Wi-Fi. If on the D7000 the last ISO for me was 1600, here: ISO 2000 is good, ISO 2500 is satisfactory. Autofocus is tenacious, works 90% flawlessly. The biggest disappointment in the camera is Wi-Fi, which the photographer needs first of all to control the process of shooting on a computer, without being tangled in the wires. For this purpose, Wi-Fi in the camera is not intended - it transmits a photo (jpeg, nef) only to the tablet, and this makes it useless at work, and makes it practically only a toy for transferring photos to a mobile device and then transferring it to social networks or for viewing photo after shooting on the tablet. When traveling, it’s easier to buy an extra memory card than to fill in the tablet’s memory if someone wants to save data from the camera there. Shooting with tablet control is not at all clear why it is implemented and to whom it can be convenient - with such shooting in a camera, you do not see the subject either in the viewfinder or on the Live View screen, but only on the screen of the tablet, and there you choose the focus point Ie the camera is mounted on a tripod, and you choose a focusing point on the tablet with your finger. If you are not satisfied with something, you need to go back to the camera, make changes there, and then go back to the tablet and click on the icon of the shutter button. It is not clear why this is all. It is a pity that in the Camera Control and in general to the computer Wi Fi can not transfer photos - it would be the best thing that could be done in terms of Wi Fi, but this was not done. And yet - I got a copy of the defective 602 series. It is very sad - for such a price get a fly in the ointment. In general, if not disappointment with Wi Fi and as long as the theoretical flare (so far this marriage has not made itself felt, it will probably manifest itself in the summer when shooting in the sunlight) - I estimate the camera to 5 with a minus. The main thing in the camera is a full frame, high working ISO, DD and its light weight. I add a minus for the listed lacks.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: -Excellent sharpness and color reproduction, comparable and superior to the D810 in my opinion
-Excellent work in conditions of insufficient light, at high iso. I have already forgotten what a grain is, even when you pull out a shadow from a file taken from an ISO 12800, you just don't feel the loss of quality, unlike the same 5 d m3 and even more so 5d m2
-Perfect control, very quickly you can completely change all the parameters from exposure to ISO and AF, unlike the same Canon, from which I no doubt left as soon as the D750 appeared.
-Wi-Fi
- Zeitrofer shooting
- Shooting taymlepsov, immediately laid, in general, with this camera, remote controls for u-heaped ones do not need to be bought, they are not needed, everything you need in the camera is already there!
Disadvantages: -Minimum shutter speed of 1/4000 (again, I will not say that this is a real problem, even 1/8000 does not save on a bright sunny day on other cameras even for 50 iso)
Comment: Guys are the most convenient and best camera in the world, a hundred times more convenient than 5D m3, the picture is not inferior to it and at a price much more profitable it turns out, there is an awesome video shooting mode: Flat, thanks to which you can squeeze very cool colors out of the footage!

Advantages: Fast, tenacious focus in difficult conditions. Excellent ergonomics. Low noise at high ISO. And much more.
Disadvantages: With a stretch the lack of exposure 1/8000. Not deadly))
Comment: Great camera, exactly what I need. I used to use the D7000, I was thinking about switching to FF, but 610 is not much better than 7000, and 800810 was a little expensive for me, and I don’t need 36 MP. I managed to take over 85,000, so the price at that time suited more than)). Read here reviews of problems when working in low temperatures and problems with autofocus in LiveView mode, complete with Sigma when shooting video. He immediately set up his Sigma AF 50mm f / 1.4, brought the device to the balcony (temperature about 0) and tried to take it off in half an hour. All perfectly !!! Autofocus works out, when taking pictures, even though the series are solitary, it does not jam anything. Apparently someone was unlucky, but I have everything as it should (I knock on a tree and spit over my shoulder))). Great camera, Nikon made me (and not only))) a great gift for NG.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: THEM as never before MASS!
1) the matrix, the matrix and again the matrix !!!, the working ISO 12800, at 8000-10000 everything is fine
2) focus speed and focus accuracy
3) the new processor is even faster
4) swivel screen
5) BB on cars
6) video
7) grip
8) WI-FI
8) price
Disadvantages: There are but minor.
1) why did the auxiliary screen be smaller
2) the joystick penny would be wider, I have a thick finger;)
3) while there is no protective glass on the screen (but I think they will be released soon), but I bought a brand D750 film from Polaroid.
More flaws have not yet noticed.
Comment: The BB has stopped lying, the focusing is perfect, there is practically no miss in total darkness, the matrix does not make any noise at all with straight arms up to ISO 10,000, quite working even very much and 12,800.
It feels the speed of work after the D700, D610, everything is very bright and it is immediately noticeable. The grip was convenient only on the D90 when it is, now it’s just as they say hanging on your fingers is very convenient. The turning screen is finally now over your head and on the ground it’s always easier to see the result of a future frame, especially when shooting a video. Video is a separate delicacy, now There is a long-awaited 60 frames and the picture is very smooth, and indeed a very decent picture quality is somehow fascinating, warm. WI-FI with connection to any device, especially liked to shoot through a smartphone, the screen is duplicated in real time with smart and sn pits are instantly transferred to the back in the same capacity, can something that immediately convey to friends or clients, the people are very happy. The battery captured 1384 shots, sooo not even bad. This camera pulls out any tasks put on it, that's what she conceived, and it will shoot exactly as you planned, which is the built-in direct masterpiece in it. Night shooting is a fairy tale, neither noise nor lies from the BB , everything is clear. Guys Nikon really tried I advise you to consider this fiction from metal-plastic to those who grew out of D90, D7000, D7100. I do not advise you to turn in the hands of the owners of D600,610,700, since the cameras are almost the same, but you can be a little upset (like me) because there is something about which we have not once at the forums in dreams wanted it to be in our 700 and 600 namely the most important thingspeed and matrix for noise and BB, well, and to whom is the screen with a turn. I don’t see a special sense of the transition from 610, well, if only the money gets easy or you are a geek, from the crop and 700 it is worth considering.
I don’t know what I want now from the camera, everything is there. Oh, I want the lens now Nikon 70-200mm f / 2.8G. All the new year and pictures that please the soul!

Evaluation 5
Advantages: 1. Really fast autofocus! Faster than my 3Ds! Tested several times and wondered! Shooting conditions at the same settings in a small dark room with a 5 cm strip of room light in the doorway ..
2. In the hand is very confident due to the grip of the protruding handle, even with heavy glass (24-70 / 2.8).
4. Light: you can hold it in one hand for a long time (if in the other you have a flash with a soft box).
3. Small. The width is less than the "penny" by a centimeter. It is placed under the jacket and does not protrude strongly. At a certain level of fanaticism, you can use it as an everyday one.
4. About Wi-Fi. You can focus and take pictures right through the phone screen (if the camera is at a distance) and keep the same on it! Then the pictures immediately throw on other phones! But directly to the printer - while it is impossible. Maybe proapdeytyat in the future ...)))
5. The screen rotates 90 degrees up and the same - down! Now you do not need to crawl on the ground to build a composition from the first time.

PS: after the first shooting of the wedding:
1. I repeat, accurate and very fast autofocus. Hit the target through glass with highlights, mirrors and GUM railing! Very pleased with the camera.
2. While traveling in a limousine on a waffle I threw off a couple of pictures to the bride (myself from Votsap) - I was delighted)) By the way, when sending pictures, NEF is converted to jpg with permission to choose (for an Internet or high).
Disadvantages: after purchase from the area of small quibbles:
1. No software on Windows Phone. But it is on iOS and Android ("Wireless Mobile Utility"). Well, figs with him)
2. In LiveView mode it focuses noticeably longer (from 0.5 to 1 second) regardless of the lighting conditions.
Comment: After shooting a wedding comparing with d3s:
For me, the really working iso 3Ds is 1600, and on d750 it is 2000 .. (!). Very pleased with the result! If the battery is not trained, I advise you to take a second + s / w for a long shooting.
Regarding the exposure 1 / 4000s discomfort is not observed. Put the auto-iso with a limit of 100 to 2000 and the camera itself very well exhibited everything.
At this time, my old proven "treshka" with 11 frames per second, without waiting for it, turned into a "second".
All --- good moments!))

Evaluation 5
Advantages: 1) HIGH ISO workers (at 12800, I have no noise at all on).
In terms of sharpness, I have no complaints (100% of the crop can be easily printed on A4 and not worry about the clarity of the picture)
2) In terms of the case, I also have no complaints. Build quality at height, size and weight are relatively small (of all the FF-cameras, the Nikon B600 / 610 and Canon EOS 6D are lighter and smaller)
3) Relatively adequate price (well, you will agree - we always need a bit cheaper: D)
4) Rotary screen (used to be actively used on Canon PowerShot SX30 IS and here I am extremely pleased with this feature)
5) VERY fast, accurate and sensitive autofocus.
Focuses in almost complete darkness very precisely. There were blunders, but either because of my mistakes, or because of too small a depth of field.
6) 91,000-point exposure meter
7) Rate of fire 6.5 shots / sec. (Often necessary weight)
8) The built-in flash rescues when laziness (or, as they say in a civilized society, it is impossible) to carry an external flash with you.
9) Wi-Fi is also a necessary feature (especially remote control
10) Ability to change the aperture in LiveView mode (for example, it is not possible on the D610)
11) Modes U1 and U2 (you can shove your own settings and not dig into the latter when you need to quickly remove something)
12) Battery charge keeps well
13) Programmable buttons
14) All buttons are located in convenient places (you just need to get used to it)
15) LCD backlight
Disadvantages: 1) Quiet mode ...He is not quiet, only the mirror falls a little later
If you do not want to attract attention, it is better to wear some soap box as a second camera.
2) There is no 1/8000 shutter speed (of course, you can do without it, but sometimes 1/4000 is not enough)
3) When setting shooting parameters, the screen is automatically activated, although you can do with the LCD screen (when the battery is almost empty, this is a significant drawback)
4) At times, the focusing speed in LiveView mode drops (if LiveView is off, the camera focuses instantly; but when LiveView is on, focusing can last up to a second, which is a lot)
5) The menu is too confusing (as with all Nikonov)
Comment: I have been using Nikon D750 for almost a month now (as of December 1, 2014).
In general, I am satisfied, there are minor flaws, such as the absence of 1/8000 exposure, but they are easily compensated by merit and price (and it is more than adequate for such quality). Canon EOS 5D Mark III costs (along with a similar lens) 30-40 thousand more.
It is worth noting that you should not take the Nikon D750 for reporting and sports shooting (it’s not enough for him to do this), but if you are going to shoot at night or in poor light, then the D750 is the best choice, since thanks to AF sensitivity (-3EV) even Nikon D4 and Canon EOS 5D MkIII can boast; low noise matrix, which are inferior to the praised D800 / 810, 6D / 5D MkIII and other monsters, this camera has no equal.

This camera is a great tool for the amateur.

I can’t give an unambiguous recommendation for beginners, as the camera would be an excellent choice if I don’t want to go through the stages of soap boxes and entry-level DSLRs (D3200, D5100, EOS 100D, etc.), but on the other hand, you can’t use a lot of functions and just take pictures in Auto, but buying a camera for 100k and taking a picture of it in a car is not very correct, better buy a Canon EOS 100D or Nikon D3100, you still won't notice the difference in picture quality (and the price difference is more than 4 times). Also, with the inept use of settings, you can be disappointed at the very first photo shoot even in the most sophisticated camera. In general, for beginners, I DO NOT advise this camera because of the abundance of various settings that you need to be able to use.

For everyone else, I think this camera is a great choice.

Advantages: 1. The matrix, which the manufacturer positions as new, is quite comparable in noise to D4, at least up to ISO 25600. Conventionally, even ISO 12800 can be considered a worker. Among the 24-megapixel matrices, it is one of the best (and maybe the best), for detail and sharpness, it is inferior to the D810 (including the AA filter present on the D750 does not add sharpness), but in low light conditions and high ISO it wins in noise.
2. Relative compactness and low weight, combined with a very comfortable grip. All controls are very logical, almost no need to get used to the camera.
3. Autofocus perfectly clings almost in complete darkness, it works very quickly, it is extremely rare to make mistakes. 500 shots turned out one mistake, perhaps to blame myself.
4. Exposure metering sensor 91000 pixels as in older models.
5. Screen with a variable angle. It is good that Nikon decided to take this step. Many believe that swivel and inclined screens reduce the reliability of the design. At the same time, Sony tilts inclined screens on almost all its cameras, including full-frame ones. And Pentax has released a medium format camera with an inclined screen (645Z).
6. The process of filming is fully controllable, all the necessary parameters are configured.
7. One battery charge is really enough for more than 1000 shots.
8. A lot of settings and presets allow you to customize the camera for yourself.
9. Wi-Fi.
10. Continuous shooting 6.5 shots / sec. This is certainly not the limit, but enough for most tasks. And better than some older models.
11. Value for money is one of the best.
Disadvantages: 1. Quiet mode could be quieter. If it is undesirable to attract attention to yourself - with d750 it will not work.
2. There is no lever on the viewfinder curtain (as the curtain itself), but they are not often needed.
3. There is no 1/8000 exposure, you can live without it, although, of course, it is a pity.
4. Autofocus in LiveView mode is too slow, its sensitivity drops noticeably in low light.
5. When setting up some functions, the LCD screen is automatically activated (for example, when changing the ISO), even if you could do without it using the upper monochrome screen, and this option cannot be turned off. It would seem that there is nothing wrong with this, but when the battery charge is low, it can be significant.
6. No GPS receiver. It is possible to connect an external device (GP-1), but it is expensive and not very convenient to use. And buy it in Russia is not easy.
Comment: The result was a versatile and high-end camera. Of course, it is unlikely that professionals will rush to sell their D4s and D810 and buy D750. The D750 is not the best camera for working in a studio, and does not have outstanding features for reportage photography. But in low light due to the very high sensitivity of autofocus (sensitivity -3EV is not even in D4s), a low-noise matrix with a high resolution of 24 megapixels and an advanced metering system - it has no equal. Among professionals, the camera may be interested in wedding photographers. It will also be of interest to advanced amateurs who have decided to switch to full frame for various reasons, as well as to the owners of the D600 and D610. In addition, the camera is suitable for novice photographers who do not want to go through the stages of compact and entry-level DSLRs. For them, there are automatic modes that work surprisingly correctly (including the "green" mode). I took this travel camera for the following reasons: 1) Relative compactness and light weight. 2) Excellent work in low light. Shooting without a flash in a poorly lit room (for example, in a museum) is, as a rule, an impossible task for advanced compacts and for primary and secondary DSLRs. The possibility of nightly shooting from hands on a journey is also not superfluous - a tripod can spoil a walk, and its use is simply not possible during excursions. 3) Good video. 4) Dust-moisture protection. 5) Inclined screen. Allows you to shoot with a large number of people over their heads. For this purpose, an inclined design is even more convenient than a swivel. 6) The presence of a fairly powerful built-in graphics editor and Wi-Fi allows you to quickly process and send photos without a PC.
P.S. Put "excellent", despite the shortcomings, because I consider them irrelevant against the background of merits, especially considering the price.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: 1. MATRIX is simply gorgeous. I was very surprised, but the value of iso 12,800 turned out to be quite working - the noise is only slightly noticeable when viewing a pixel to a pixel, the detail is kept at iso 12,800 very well, in the shadows it is also buzzing.
2. AUTOFOCUS from top D4s really works instantly. This is the first Nikon with a price of up to 200 TR, which is not annoying with the inhibition of focusing and is similar to the traditionally sharp focus of older canons with reportage lenses L-kami. A pair of D750 with a 24-70 f / 2.8 lens is now happy with lightning-fast focus - the lag between pressing a button and focusing is not felt even in difficult light conditions. With the whale 24-120 f / 4 also focuses quite cheerfully. Slightly slowed down on focusing on the d7100 portrait cameraman 85 f / 1.4 on the D750 began to quickly focus.
3. Also, according to first impressions, automatic metering and white balance in complex lighting work well (natural light + fluorescent lamps).
4. Of pleasant things: the device is relatively compact and light. The handle has become a little thinner and deeper - the grip is very convenient. A folding screen is very helpful for shooting over the crowd and from the floor, and of course for shooting video itself. The speed of focusing in Live View was, though not instant, but quite acceptable in time.
five.Face recognition when focusing - did not have time to figure it out. But judging by sony, the trend is very correct - when shooting fast, it greatly simplifies the task of choosing the focus area.
Disadvantages: From the category of cavils - in the life of the Nikon menu some kind of intricate. Here at modern kenonov / sony the menu is more logical and convenient :)
Comment: It seems that after failures with the d600 / d800, Nikon makes a decisive bet on the d750. Now it turned out that the D750 was the most advanced Nikon camera with the best matrix (1 stop noise better than 610/810 / Df) and the best autofocus from the D4s reportage. A folding screen, invaluable for videographers, has also been added. And for this gift Nikon set an extremely affordable price of 85 tr. Direct competitor Canon 5d mark iii stands at 40 tr. more expensive and the matrix is weaker.
In general, Nikon - great! D750 is a delight and very easy to use. Recommend :)

P.S. About the method of evaluation of the matrix ... because all criteria are different. Shooting was conducted in jpeg fine (large) - the noise and jpeg algorithms of nikon take care of the picture. As a reference point, for me, the working iso on the d7100 is iso 3200 for reportage tasks and no more than iso 1600 for custom art photo shoots. So the Nikon D750 has a picture on iso 12,800 even better than the d7100 on an iso 3200.

Advantages: Low noise even at high iso, phenomenally fast AF, swivel screen, good video quality.
Disadvantages: The screen plume is not sufficiently protected, which is why it can start to play when it is very humid. This is especially surprising to observe when the rest of the carcass is fully dust-proof.
Comment: The turning screen turned out to be surprisingly convenient, it allows you to quickly and easily shoot in uncomfortable conditions in Lv mode. It is a pity that rotates only in one dimension.
