Philips Fidelio S2 Reviews

Advantages: Design, good sound quality.
Disadvantages: Unstable coating.
Comment: Headphones for a good price.
Any claims on the sound refer either to the quality of the recording, or to the wrong selection of ambyushurs.
I use two years. No problems with the wires, no glitches of the remote.
But for headphones of this class, alas, they have a very unstable housing cover. As a result, in two years it was so cracked that I had to clear it with a fingernail, in order to give the headphones a decent look again. What is surprising: after this procedure, the sound became even cleaner than it was, although it seemed impossible. Does the thickness of the body wall also affect the sound?
Well, whoever doesn’t dare to follow my example with time, I recommend buying black-coated headphones, which can be easily masked by a marker.

Advantages: High quality sound with well balanced "soft" sound. Adequate low and high frequencies, the nuances of music are normally audible. Headphones sit comfortably in the auricles, despite their 13.5 mm membranes, and do not fall out when walking. Adequately work on devices with Android, there is a microphone and a button to answer / switch tracks. "G" -shaped 3.5mm plug. Original design.
Disadvantages: Despite the "noodle-like" flat wire, the headphones are quite easy to tangle in your pocket, although less so than headphones with round wires. The second drawback - at negative air temperature the wire hardens. However, given the fact that the headphones are very comfortable to sit in your ears - they do not fall out when you walk, even in the cold when the wire hardens. The third drawback - as it seemed, the design of the headphones + wire + plug is not strong enough and they can suffer with a strong physical impact.
Comment: Were purchased to replace the "younger" model Philips Fidelio S1, which had a drawback in the form of peeling rubber linings and missing bass (commissioned under warranty). Compared to this model, the S2 has better bass, a more spacious and more elaborate sound. In general, S2 - very good headphones with good sound quality. They sit very tight in the ears, do not crush anywhere and at the same time do not fall out. Ears after a long listening do not hurt. Higher price compared with S1 - is justified and they are worth the requested money.

Advantages: First of all it is sound. Electric guitars sound surprisingly good. Headphones are great for heavy styles. The roar of slipknot guitars and other bands is amazing. Very good detail, definitely the best of all the plugs that I used before. Headphones are suitable not only for heavy duty, other genres also sound great. The mid frequencies are well developed, the vocalist's voice sounds at the level.
Disadvantages: And again the sound. Of the shortcomings, the headphones in the first place lack of assertiveness, volume, many songs sound boring with very good detail. There is a lack of bass, although a lot depends on the specific recording. Suppose the pendulum bass seemed even a little in excess. But the drums of the metal bands sound rather poor, although in general not bad. Not very comfortable fit. Good bass was achieved only during the behind-the-ear landing. With a standard fit, the plugs strive to fall out of the ears - by itself, no bass is out of the question. There is a noticeable sharpness at high frequencies, on some compositions there are sybillyants - partly this can be corrected by an equalizer, although with a decrease in high air in the sound disappears.
Comment: Headphones are VERY demanding on recording quality. All the flaws of mp3 compression and just not the most successful recording and mastering in the studio can be heard here. 320 kbps and flac personally, I can not hear the difference, below 320 there is a difference. We can say that the headphones emphasize the advantages and disadvantages of recording. The lack of bass and excessive highs was almost completely corrected by the equalizer. Headphones put 4+. If there were less sharpness at high and a little more pressure, volume, air in sound, it would be strong 5, considering the price of $ 120 naturally. Well, not very comfortable fit, that standard, that the ear, I hope you can get used to over time.

Advantages: of the advantages: sound, assembly materials, assembly quality, rich equipment
Disadvantages: Of the minuses worth noting: dubeet wire in the cold, buggy ppultimik
Comment: The sound quality is at a height (although you don’t expect anything else for such a price), but personally from my whims, I would add a little more bass, they are worn comfortably, though not one pair of nozzles did not fit, I had to take from previous headphones. I still don’t know if I’m so lucky, if it’s all so (although unlikely), in general, when you switch songs back and forth, it doesn’t always do it, often just pauses, and one more minus, the wire dubeet in the cold, which is not very convenient, although if you live in one of the warm countries, it is not critical, well, or if you only take it for home listening. I'm not complaining about the price. I took them for 4k, they stand for it, I think. On this probably finish, my overall assessment, 4.7 out of 5, I advise the goods.

Comment: Sounds great. On built-in players - usually, like any other, but if you conjure with third-party players, then - Oooh! ))

Advantages: Comfortable fit, excellent balanced sound throughout the range
Disadvantages: Bass leakage possible, pick up ear cushions!
Comment: I have been using for more than a year. Completely satisfied! I have not heard a better sound anywhere else (I listened including westone um3x rc; at home I have bayer 880 dt pro). Very carefully, you need to pick up ear pads: you should sit very tightly, do not be afraid to insert them deeper (just do not overdo it!). Noise isolation is beautiful: the fact that de jure half-open is an advertising move. In fact, in fact, insulation is like a closed one, but the scene is wider. You just have to evaluate the sound yourself. For lovers of classical music (try an organ with deep bass!), Choral music, folk and jazz (take something with an electric sub-double bass for the test) I recommend strongly. I did not try to listen, but I'm sure that everything will be fine there too)

Advantages: See in the comments.
Disadvantages: See also in the comments.
Comment: I use two weeks. It was a lot of different expensive. But, these are exceptionally good. Sound! (for what, try all ambushings), sit as if they were made for my ears. As for the operation - time will tell, but, made with high quality. Suddenly - if, buy the same))
