As for rip video files, compression is mainly done by reducing the frame rate, but this evil is inevitable. On uncompressed files, there are no problems with smoothness of movement. Partially smooth movement, clarity and richness of the picture are achieved by selecting a more successful software player, the benefit of which is many. For ridiculous money and in pocket size, a full-fledged media center is offered. Do not really take the flashback-sized media player for a smart TV for 50-75% of the TV price. It's pointless.

Comment: I purchased the device in early January. Pre-installed software "out of the box" is not enough. I had to update everything. Instead of XBMC it is better to install SPMC - it is more focused on Rockchip chips. But the sound DD and DTS directly to the receiver in these applications is not output, but only in PCM 2.0 is decoded. I hope that this will be fixed in future firmware.
