The ears are made more for the studio, so walking and listening to the player is not very convenient. In the cold, the wire becomes steel, and even its length just kills.

Comment: Excellent headphones, soundproofing, as always for Shure on top! Very comfortable to sit in the ears, especially with frothy nozzles. For trips to the subway it is better not to find options, the trains are barely audible, you can finally hear all the small details that were laid down in the record.
I have been using the old model for quite a long time and long
Shure scl3, but after a few years, the wire was worn and distortion began to appear. How scl3 finally broke, tried many different plugs from Sennheiser, Sony, Klipsch, Monster Beats and others. Still, Shure was out of competition for sound / convenience / sound insulation.
The sound is excellent - very detailed, surround and fascinating. Basov enough. I want to listen to albums entirely, but not to turn over each track.
The only minus that was never corrected is the cable that was kept in the cold. But this does not affect the sound.

Comment: Using this model for 1 year and 8 months, during this time only one thing happened to them, due to the fact that it strongly bent the ear clip, the wire broke in it, which it replaced with almost no problems. Many people write about the quality of the wire, I don’t know, I bought the original ones for the 11,500 and I can say that so much the headphone wire hasn’t served yet, and I think it will not end soon.
The most chic in this headset is the clarity of sound and just a very good noise isolation, in the subway to hear which station, you need to pull out one ear with the sound turned off.
If I hope these headphones break, I will take a newer model.

Disadvantages: The wire is not such a good bond, served about the same as the cheaper headphones that were before (about a year). Fortunately, I found where to buy it for 1435r in Russia (I have a transparent wire, black can differ in price), they sell it in one chain store, I'm afraid the name will not be missed. What is generally expensive, of course, because for the same money you can buy one-driver valves like sony xba1. But there you can buy a wire with a microphone and get a headset for your phone. Moreover, one ear is quieter, correcting balance on the player. In general, for the money to reliability there are questions. (Update recently decided to try to clean the left channel from inside with hydrogen peroxide, the left ear played very quietly, and there was nothing to lose, it seemed to help, they played by ear the same way)
They generally keep up pretty well, but when I run, they fly out from time to time, you have to correct about every kilometer and a half. The ears get tired medium, that is, you can go through them all day, but then there will be painful sensations.

Comment: In general, a good detailed sound, though the bottoms and the high frequencies are a little overwhelmed, like almost any "armature" (in principle there are not enough tops in all plugs, judging by the same in the headroom). It is corrected by an equalizer, but for certain styles of music, even imperceptibly. A good model for musicians, because you can use them to monitor at a concert by purchasing a radio system)
Listening to music in them at home at night is a very controversial activity, although I sometimes do it, describing the sound is ungrateful (Frank Zappa is right, talking about music is like dancing about architecture), but let's say, the feeling of being at a studio or concert (source emu0404). But for the home it is more comfortable to monitor headphones even at the sennheiser 558 level, even if not so detailed.
It would be interesting to listen to shure SE 846 or sony xba4, maybe I'll give them to myself for my birthday someday.)

Comment: Happy as an elephant. I took it for 7900 and I believe that they are working on this price (plus a replaceable cable guarantees you a certain durability of the device). After the Weston mind 1, the difference in sound is obvious even on iphone 4s. To reveal the talent of the Shurov to the fullest, a good player is needed, now I plan to take fiio x3, ibasso dx50 or something else within $ 400-500. It is natural to listen to music in such ears with a bitrate below 320 contraindicated.

Advantages: Sound insulation, high-quality cord, even though everyone curses its fragility on older models (CE535). You can listen to the classics on the subway, very nice.

Disadvantages: Like monitors columns, it displays all the flaws of the recording, so I listen to the flash from the computer in order to use them completely.

Comment: If you do not listen to them and sit to work, then I think you do not need such expensive ones. But if you want to enjoy music, listen to the depths of the works, that is a worthwhile thing. I have been using them for the second year, with a cord, there are no signs that it will soon break. Maybe because not so often carry them on the street, mostly in a stationary position I listen.
