Comment: I switched to this model with Xperia x perfomance, before it was used mainly by samsung (s6 edge). They liked the fact that they were more stable in operation, less than any kind of garbage programs, etc. In this phone, manufacturers have fixed all the shoals of past mollel. The sound is loud and juicy, the stereo speakers are at a height ,, the battery, if you use it in a gentle mode, it really holds 2 days, the screen is really excellent. A separate bonus camera shoots super, although in the past, the phone is quite satisfied. The size in thickness and length is slightly larger than in the z3 compact, but still, the phone is really compact. In general, in such a compact case and with top-end filling today there are no real analogues. Sony well done. All this without a fraternal fraternity, about anything, is uncomfortable to keep and they fight very often and strongly. Phone recommend!

Advantages: -Design. He's great. God, just a square black brick - without curves and zamylivaniya, without any stretched buttons, chrome edging, shiny rear caps. Normal, great looking device. My ideal. This is what modern electronics should look like.
-The size. Perfect. Just a little bit - and would have already become a shovel. It would be a little less - it would not be enough already. But now this is what it takes to control with one hand, if you are also annoyed to constantly intercept the phone with your other hand in order to reach the right place with your finger.
-Automation. Before buying this device, I used the new Iphone SE for several weeks (I took it because of its size) - it sat down like the last scum. XZ1 compact charge every couple of days. With my pace of use per day, I lose a maximum of 30% of the battery charge - despite the fact that I have the screen at the maximum, I also do not refuse to connect to the networks.And I did not include power saving modes.
- The screen is juicy, bright, awesome. Do not believe those who say that the resolution is not enough - no grain is visible.
-All flies. Smoothly and without brakes. Sometimes with fast scrolls, of course, FPS may just subside, but only a little - and this happens on all phones.

Disadvantages: -Price bites, yes.
- Little memory, yes. As a result, not 32GB is available for use, but 20 with something. Therefore, I bought a 128 gigabyte card. I will not write advertising here, but a reliable card with a high read / write speed cost me 8000rub.
-It is also important about memory. The manufacturer did not provide the phone with the ability to enable adoptable storage, so it will be quite problematic if you want to install applications on a memory card. Out of the box you will be offered to keep there just media files.
-Vibration sounds like a little circular) But you get used to it)
- Probably, I expected more from two speakers, louder and cleaner, but in my opinion nothing special.
-In my opinion, a lot of intrusive pre-installed software that tells you everything in the world and tries to help with everything. Right, this is too much. At first, I had to do a lot of gestures to turn it all off and shut it up.
- In my subjective opinion, there are a lot of gay colors in the interface. For example, the application "contacts" in some purple-pink design. You have a black square phone with the pink color of one of the main applications. I also did not appreciate the round icons of the applications.

Comment: -I recommend to all people who are tired of this consumer goods, bad taste and the same rounded low-class smartphones.
- They scare the camera of the device, but I do not use such mobile cameras at all, so I can not say anything about this.
- What else to say - it’s not so easy to find a good case yet. For some reason, no one can make a normal cut-out for the side power button, which, by the way, is very cool and comfortable.
-In the cold on the screen during the scrolls there is a clear trace of the image, but perhaps this is the problem of all screens.
-Very lack of the possibility of turning the screen 180 degrees in vertical mode. Considering that the smartphone control is implemented entirely on the screen and there are no touch buttons under it - this would be very convenient. It is not always good when the headphone jack is on top - for example, when you go in a car, so you want to turn it over in some cases.

Advantages: 1) The screen is chic! I went shopping with the phone I had already bought, compared it with other flagships - at least not worse than the recent innovations, the brightness margin is huge. Permissions for 4.6 "is more than enough, but the battery lasts longer
2) The speed of work - canceled. Well, what to expect from a phone with a top-end iron?
3) Batteries last for a day. I charge it in the evening, before bedtime I take off my charge, I calmly walk until the next evening, 30% remains.
4) Design is good. Not like a bunch of identical smartphones. Yes, the frames are thick, but they won't break.
5) In the hand is great. Before that, I walked 2.5 years with a 5 "screen, I really liked it. But when I switched to 4.6, I was able to evaluate, it turned out to be much more convenient, now the old phone seems to be a shovel. At first, he was afraid that the sharp edges would cut into his hand, but it did.
6) Android Oreo out of the box - very nice, the system is beautiful, it works perfectly, no lags are observed.
7) The camera is good, especially in the daytime, but still I can not say that it excites the imagination, it seems that the Korean and American competitors will have a better camera.
8) The network keeps excellent, mobile Internet is flying.

Disadvantages: 1) The memory is tightened, of course. For 40k it would be possible to push 64 GB.
2) At night, the camera gives a bit of noise in automatic mode.
3) It's a shame that the adapter for fast charging is not included, you need to buy more.
4) You could put the headphones, perhaps.

Comment: In general, the device is excellent! I can safely recommend to buy, see how it will show itself over time.Already by the way for 2 weeks of use I flew a couple of times in my car from the phone holder - nothing, survived, not a scratch. As for the headphones and the adapter for fast charging, it’s more like a nagging, it’s not critical for me, but you should agree, it would be nice to see it all out of the box when you put 40k on the phone.

Comment: I switched to it from the iPhone 6s a month ago. I really do not like the trend of turning phones into healthy shovels with the same “a la iPhone” design. Because I wanted something smaller, but modern. I also don’t feel love for thin frames and other hipster stuff.
I looked at a couple of reviews of this model on Yutyube (there really are very few of them, unlike the Samsungi, Apple and Siaomi propiarenny) and came to the store to twist - I really liked the tactile and external design. Very "masculine" in black and rather heavy after a stub, but in his hand he sits like a glove.
I liked that the fingerprint scanner from the butt end of the device also works much faster than the Apple. I am not a big fan of taking pictures (there is a DSLR), so I just took a little bit for the sake of the test on Ipad Pro 10.5 (there is no sense to compare the camera with Iphone 6s) and Sonya. Sonya subjectively better shoots.
Since the main infrastructure remained Apple, I installed a couple of programs for synchronizing contacts and calendars. After 10 minutes of playing with a tambourine, related to the security policy of Apple, everything started. No difficulty now with data synchronization between platforms.
I do not need synchronization with Safari, but with it, it is very likely that problems will arise. Apple Music is on Android.
In general, I highly recommend the male audience: small, stylish and status-looking, tactilely excellent “sits” in the hand, the design is different from Yablofonov and their copies, all the functions of the phone are excellent, as well as adjacent.
I experienced a number of unpleasant moments when switching from IOS.
The SIM card / memory card tray is just wild slag compared to the monolithic "ski" in the iPhone, but the benefit is, I don’t get in there often.
I could not get used to the Android keyboard for a long time - unlike Apple, I often touch adjacent letters when typing.
Other gestures for accepting and rejecting calls — accidentally dropped customer and management calls several times ...: / It was not very ...

- Connector for charging USB Type C. This is certainly not a disadvantage, for sure the future behind this connector. You just need to be mentally prepared, that for charging your phone, everything from other non-iPhones and cameras will no longer fit. But the symmetric connector is very convenient.

Comment: * About the battery. I use the gadget freely all day and charge it only once a day, while at the end of the day the phone is not completely dead, leaving at least 15-20% of the charge. True, I almost do not play it in games, except in simple puzzles. But quite a lot of time I spend on watching movies, videos from YouTube, the Internet. In the previous Sony Z3 Compact, I often turned off Wi-Fi and geolocation in order to save power. On this phone, there has never been a need to disable some functions in order to extend the life of the battery.
** The camera. At first she disappointed me. I took some pictures in auto mode at a concert (low light), and I was horrified - everything was blurred, the detail was bad, not just noises, but some terrible artifacts climb. But then I read the advice to photograph in manual mode - and yes, it worked! In the mode of M in the dark, the pictures are many times better, clearer and better. And with good lighting and auto-mode copes. So not everything turned out so terribly.
P. S. Funny detail: for some reason, many friends believe that the back cover of my phone is made of metal. Even when I say no, comrades, this is just plastic, I hear in response that plastic cannot look like this, I probably confuse something. "You were deceived. You were given a much better fur"))) Apparently, this is an invoice + blue body color give such a combo.

And there are several blots that can hardly be attributed to serious shortcomings:
1) The advertised 3D constructor does not work very clearly and only with very good lighting. But this is essentially a toy for a few days, so it’s not so important.
2) I was surprised when in the default settings when installing wallpaper I did not find the option of live wallpaper in the form of a slideshow of selected photos. Perhaps this is a cant not a phone, but an unfinished shell for a new 8th android. I had to download a third-party application to install live wallpaper to solve the problem.
3) Sony was greedy and on the Compact put 32 GB of internal memory, they could have done 64, like the "big brother". But I think there will be enough memory anyway.

Comment: Overall, a great model. For shovel-haters - the most it. Flagship iron, will last for several years. Considering that top phones with screens smaller than 5 inches are now only made by Sony, they now occupy a good niche in the market.
