Sony 50mm f / 1.8 reviews (SAL-50F18)

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Very good and inexpensive lens. After the standard 18-55 - this seemed just perfect.
Disadvantages: Not
Comment: Probably there are better lenses and much better, but they cost more several times. So the price-quality ratio is optimal. Photos are very good.

Advantages: He's just great.
Disadvantages: For almost a month of use, I did not find any significant flaws. And those that appeared were because of inexperience, I use the SLR for 10 months ...
Comment: There was nothing to compare with the acquisition of a DSLR, a35, I got two lenses, 18-55 and 55-200, and so, after purchasing 50mm f / 1.8, I removed the budget kit 18-55 to the shelf. 55-200 is also not a bad wash, but still not that, and his aperture is weaker. So for amateur photographers, the plane itself. Not everyone wants to become a pro, but many have good pictures. Take it you will not regret your money.

Advantages: Fast, sharp, cheap !!!
Disadvantages: Plastic. A little backlash. No more!
Comment: Draws a picture just super! Glad! Glad! Glad! Sharpness is simple, as they say "ringing"! Shooting in poor light without a flash is not a problem. Portraits are awesome. You can shoot and landscapes, but the diaphragm should be covered a little. Great lens!

Advantages: - Very light. Hole 1.8 allows you to shoot at an adequate shutter speed even in the twilight
- cheap
- small and light
Disadvantages: - easy play of moving parts, which, however, does not affect the quality of images
- autofocus is not very fast, and you need to be more careful with it because of the small depth of field
Comment: In my opinion, optimal in terms of price / quality ratio. Perfect for portrait shooting. As a reporter, of course, only suitable in rare situations due to a fixed focal length and a rather narrow viewing angle.

Advantages: Excellent picture, quite sharp and colorful.
Small, lightweight, easy to handle.
Disadvantages: Slow and noisy autofocus. In low light sometimes does not work at all. Sometimes it misses.
Comment: In my opinion, an excellent lens for your money (bought in 2011 for 6000 rubles).
I rented camera A-580. The manufacturer is positioning itself as a medium-range telephoto lens (taking into account the fact that it is designed for cropping, the viewing angle is somewhat narrower than on the classic 35-mm system with a fifty-kopeck, an equivalent focal length of 75 mm). As a result, portraits and detailed shooting are not bad. For shooting in rooms is somewhat inconvenient, again because of the narrow angle.
Large luminosity allows you to take good pictures in low light without using a flash. However, when shooting in bright light, you need to slightly cover the aperture, on the open edge of the edge and the depth of field is too small. Although again, it all depends on the distance from which you are shooting.
Summary: definitely worth taking, especially novice photographers.

Advantages: Sharp, smart, though sometimes it smears, but it's little things for the price. Blur background is beautiful.
Disadvantages: Not yet noticed.
Comment: After kit 18-55 just super !!!!! Feel like an artist. Photographs are sharp, natural light transmission.

Advantages: Very sharp, beautiful bokeh
Disadvantages: Not found
Comment: Optimal mode - waist or chest portrait at f / 2.8 IMHO
Very pleased with the pattern, in the focus area pixel-sharp, beautifully blurs the background.
The colors are delicate and juicy.
You can ignore the plastic construction - it is reliable (tested) and there is a small optical miracle hidden in it :)

Advantages: - Fast autofocus (someone below wrote that it is slow - WRONG!)
- Great sharpness
- High luminosity
- Excellent color rendition
Disadvantages: - plastic, plastic, plastic ... :) But due to this, it is almost weightless.
Comment: Very good portrait painter, I would even say wonderful. Sharp and beautiful drawing. It seems to me that it even exceeds 50 1.4 in the figure. Definitely this is the best amateur fast 50-millimeter portrait painter from Canon Nikon Sony.

Advantages: Low weight. Small size. Built-in hood. The color rendition is flawless. Autofocus works fine even when shooting in a room with a 40-cotton lamp, the aperture allows you to shoot without flash.
Disadvantages: Noisy autofocus (not SSM of course), but fast and accurate across all zones.
Comment: From 1.4 differs in lightness little. And according to the tests, even more contrast. Therefore, if you have a crop matrix, then you do not need 1.4, take this one and never regret it.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Fifty under the crop, which was originally designed as the initial portrait portrait. Good drawing. Simple constructive. Low price.
Disadvantages: Focus is not the fastest. At the fully open - vignetting, which, however, is easy to use for creativity. Duratskaya blend.
Comment: The 49 mm filter is quite standard for the system, so this cannot be considered a disadvantage - the same 50/1. 7 or dorestayling 50/1. 4 from Minolta come with exactly this filter. Thanks to the built-in motor, the lens is slow compared to the screwdriver counterparts, but still faster than the analog from Canon. As an initial portrait portrait - almost perfect. Yes, the focal length of 75mm on the croppet spoils the impression, but the drawing is great for that kind of money. I recommend to everyone. On the crope, they like even more than the older 50 / 1.4 or new Sigma.
