Comment: Wanted silence, got silence. i5-4570 @ 3.6 - 38 degrees in idle time, the cooler at the minimum 300 revs. I blocked the first memory slot, but I will not be putting the bar there soon (maybe without radiators and fit).
On my mother Asus H97-PRO did not block the top pci_e slot and Asus Xonar DX climbed in there.

Advantages: Quiet, rich package delivery, huge out of the box, fan (surprising), productive

Comment: I switched to it from the Gammax S40, it was noisy with the load on my I7-4770k overclocking, the first thing that surprised me was that it was noiseless! In idle, in the load, silence! And it cools surprisingly well, the dreary assembly is the only drawback, but I think it is because of unaccustomed use after the clips past the cooler.
P.S. Remove the sticker on the back of the fan (Thermalright with a hologram) when it is heated, it comes off and stuck to the inner blade of the fan, did not understand for a long time what the rustling was, until the fan took off

Comment: Very pleased with the cooler. The maximum temperature at a slightly overclocked fx 8370 is about 50 °. Taking into account that the bottom is a video card with a temperature in the load when playing 70 °, and the standard cooling profile is selected in the BIOS. Installation is a bit heavy, but that would be very. Included is a screwdriver. The surface of the contact plate of the processor is flat. The only thing is that a small square frame is attached to the back of the motherboard, but it didn’t want me to become exactly me, then removed it altogether.

Advantages: 1. I have a rev. B. On an open stand. AMD processor A10-6800K, 4100 MHz. My main requirements for the system - quiet, cool, beautifully performs fully and completely.
2. Fan 147 really starts working somewhere at 300 rpm. Checked the panel Skyt. However, the whole system didn’t want to clutter the minimalist system as a whole with a multifunctional panel (too many wires were added). I connected it through a resistor to the motherboard and adjusted it to the BIOS for the minimum possible speed. It turned out about 450. Naturally, at such speeds, no signs of noise are noticed even on an open bench. At maximum load, the temperature stopped at 43 (or plus 16, the temperature in the room was 27). With such a low temperature under full load, the temperature in idle did not look because I did not find this information interesting.
3. Overall workmanship. Problems with the installation was not.
4. Screwdriver - thought some frivolous, "toy", disposable. It turned out to be of the same quality as the other components of the cooler.

Disadvantages: 1. Unfortunately, with the AMD A10 6800K processor (4100 MHz) it was not possible to achieve completely passive cooling. At full load, the temperature quickly reached 65, after which he decided to install a fan. More details above, p. 2 in "Dignity".
2What else to complain about? Well, except that the box is not simple cardboard, like the flagship models. ))))

Advantages: Cooling efficiency; quiet (good) stock fan; screwdriver included; reasonable price when compared with Noctua models, without a noticeable loss in cooling quality; price, even after raising the course, because at a comparable price, competitors will lose; the kit includes brackets for the installation of two fans.

Disadvantages: Dimensions; dancing with a tambourine during installation, you can avoid if you think in advance how to fix the radiator; The basic thermal compound included is Chill Factor, although the version with index 3 is currently relevant (Chill Factor 3).

Comment: The cooler was purchased for a new system unit based on the Intel Core i5 4690 processor, mat. Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 board. In a simple temperature of the probe: 26-28 degrees, with a load: real (applications / games) - above 48-50 does not rise, with artificial (stress tests) - the maximum was 56 degrees, the temperature in the room was about 23-24. What can I say, the result is very good, considering the cost of the cooler (I took it at the end of November 2014) ~ 2400 rubles. I used the base thermal grease, because I don’t consider a gain of 2-3 degrees to be commensurate with the cost of a good tube, such as Arctic Cooling.
Installation of medium complexity: everything is simple until the radiator is attached to the motherboard: you need to fix the cooler to the base, or rather press it with the plate on top and get into the holes with screws, the trick is that the base is slightly convex (but this is the norm) and the processor does not stand firmly on the processor wants - it swings, bends, slides on thermal paste in different directions, you have to hold it with one hand, and take a screwdriver with the other (a very good one comes with: magnetized tip, high-quality material), a screw and a canopy to fix all this, then repeat scho times without removing hands from the radiator. Problem, of course, but you can tinker once.
Of the specific competitors (in size) in Noctua, this is the NH-U14S, maybe it will win 3-4 degrees + the installation will be easier, but is it worth overpaying 1500-2000 thousand for this? I think not, I have nothing against the Austrians, but the price is not entirely fair for their products.
Now, about the size: the radiator is huge, but in itself is not high, the fan adds height, it does not fit into every case. Naturally, the closest places under the memory modules are blocked, but in height they pass and can be supplied either by removing the fan or by taking a bar with a low radiator. Perhaps the top PCI-E x1 slot (like mine) or another will be blocked.
Summing up, we can say the following: the cooler is very good: quiet, it cools the processor well, proportionately adequately costs and allows to do overclocking.

Advantages: I wanted to collect a silent multimedia computer. A bunch of Pentium G2130 with Thermalight Macho Rev.A allowed to do without a cooler fan, the bundled fan did not install. Under the linpak for an hour without a cooler fan, the temperature did not exceed 64 degrees.

Disadvantages: They are not

Comment: By the way, in the process of testing linpack in the background, it was reproduced without any signs of inhibition of the blue ray film. The only noisy device in the computer is the hard drive. Later, I will remove it, leaving only the SSD.

Advantages: Perfectly cools AMD 8320

Disadvantages: I barely figured out how to fasten a plate for AM3 +

Comment: A great cooler, a paste like normul, took a long time to figure out how to screw the plate from the side of the processor until I read it under a magnifying glass !!! Well, just a little experience in the cooler affairs (note not in the computer affairs, then). It will go with beer, put the valve on the memory side (if it was thinner by a couple of mm, it is absolutely OK), so that the Korsarov memory slightly stood at an angle of 1 - 1.5 mm, but I think everything will be OK in the future !!!

Advantages: 1. Quiet! This is the first quality that you check out after installation! Now I do not understand if my computer is turned on or not! At the maximum speed is the same as at the minimum. (I can hear how the hard drive legs))))
2. Excellent performance. My AMD X6 1035 95vt without acceleration under load LINCOM gave out 39 degrees at 27 in the room! In idle time up to 29 degrees.
3. Oddly enough for this manufacturer smooth smooth surface without bulges!
4. Presence of sockets in compatibility!
5. The screwdriver is good. Fashionable. I got in pink!
6. Good compatibility with motherboard and memory strap for this size! There is nothing critical! There may be some graters, depending on the models of motherboards and buildings !!! It covers only one memory slot and then 2 millimeters! The distance to the video card "from kilometer"!

Disadvantages: - The most confusing setup of the majority. Instructions compare yoga poses, difficult to do. The font is small! The necessary information is not selected (for example, specify for which processor which picture), I barely found the inscription AMD, and then in the middle of the text (Apparently it wasn’t the table of contents to call AMD). Pictures are not logically arranged, a lot of superfluous!

- And of course, childhood diseases of previous models. Large traces of soldering. The tubes included in the thermo block with large solder balls. Traces of dripping flux, even on the base in the zone of direct contact of the processor. It feels like they were soldered by hand, by a Soviet soldering iron and rosin. Stout fan brackets only one set!

- When I attached the rear backup, I noticed that the edges (edge) of the backplate sat on a small spare part behind the socket (I don’t understand much, or the air conditioner is small, or the resistor). That confused me! God forbid damage.

- It was also embarrassing that the fastening of the front piece of iron is fastened with bolts not in the hole, but by the edges. Somehow it does not look reliable!

- Even in such trifles as packing of spare parts lay down! All bolts, bakpleyty, and thermal paste and other, sealed in durable teabags. But they turned out to be disposable, as they were simply soldered. And not just soldered in the middle. Those. so for example would cut off the top with scissors and all! And then you have to tear the entire package from the middle! Then the remnants of bolt get enough sleep! As it is not logical! Such a manufacturer as Dipkul for a long time on bags with locks switched! Why are there Dipkul, I bought insoles for 100 rubles with such bags.

- Thermal paste! It seems that instead of it put clay!

Comment: Cooler good. I do not know how in others, but in my case the joint with the unevenness of the base was corrected. Smooth and smooth, measured angle, applied to smooth surfaces. Just smooth and sleek!
Cooler for those who know a lot about computers. Without installation skills is very difficult to understand! In my case, Naf threw out the instructions and followed his head. YES. Another excited vibro fan lining. As in the case of bags, also disposable. Is it really impossible to make duel gum!
If you want a QUIET and EFFECTIVE cooler, then this is your choice!

Of course, many things are not clear why such a large manufacturer of such successful coolers mows every turn! For so many years, the rake on which it comes, has long been probably poisonous yellow in color, with flashing beacons with a STOP sign. However, Thermalright almost does not change, mows down on trifles in completely unexpected places and oppresses the price !!! (Although thanks for the screwdriver).
