Problems with cutting speed up (via WAN). Connection 40 Mbit / s. On the download, these 40 stably produce, on the return - the pipe, even a 1MB picture on the mail is a problem to download. At the same time, by connecting the computer directly without a router, I received my 40 Mbit / s in both directions. it seems that the problem with the Ethernet controller: having kicked a router, sometimes it is possible to switch it to 10 mbps for Etherneta - then it will pop up and down 10.

P.S. The problem got away - everything is OK with the router.just in case, I decided to over-crimp the cable - it turned out that the cable was poorly pressed when laying the line to the apartment. so here ...

The settings took about 10-15 minutes. I entered the login passwords, skimmed the MAC, and it all worked right away. The interface is in Russian in full, for each item the decoding is detailed for beginners. All on a green background, for the eyes nice. Feature: setting through IE will be most correct (this is true), this is the browser that the manufacturer recommends.
The speed does not cut through the air. Everything is by tariff (of course, in the line of sight of the router, i.e. in the same room with it, after 2 walls, the speed will naturally be lower - physics is physics).
The antenna power is average - the signal throughout the apartment is at least 2 strips out of 4. Standard is only N - there are simply no other adapters at home.
At the same time, 2 smartphones, 1 tablet and player are connected via wi-fi - no one feels discomfort. The router is slightly warm. Torrents do not indulge.
Conclusion - as a working horse for ordinary needs such as online video and web surf is the most. In other conditions, just did not check for no need.

4. It is impossible (or very difficult) to determine whether the vpn connection is working (by DIR-615, if the vpn connection is lost, the orange light instead of the green light)

Comment: Very decent router for the price of 700 rubles. I don’t know if the old router was really losing packets somewhere, which is why the session was torn in online games, but at the same time there’s no such oddity about the router.

Advantages: Great router! It is easily configured, there is all the functionality necessary for the home network. Firmware change is not required, and the standard can be updated in two clicks.There was no problem with the wireless network. Not a single glitch for all the time. When downloading torrents under ~ 10 MB / s, there are no problems.

Before that, to be honest, I was skeptical of TP-Link, because I heard a lot of good reviews ("warm up, breaks", etc.), but this time I decided to try it, and the price for the offered functionality turned out to be very attractive. And I was not mistaken (for now). I was pleasantly surprised - the setup took about one and a half minutes. The only thing - downloaded a new firmware. The router is practically not heated, in comparison with the same D-link, while the WiFi power is set to High. So far very pleased. When choosing this model, the younger 741N stood next to it, with one antenna and another “old” square design. But I decided to take a new one, especially since the difference was about $ 10. In general, to summarize: if you need an inexpensive, functional WiFi N router, look at this model.
