Evaluation

Disadvantages: - non-switchable sound channel changes,
- no indication of battery charge
- charging time (perhaps additionally there is fast charging did not look)
- work with the headset leaves much to be desired (the same on the baofeng) the sound of channel switching is stunning to pain ... Hearing hazard.

Comment: Channel switching sound is not disconnected - options: English, Russian. and beep
if silent mode is needed this walkie-talkie is not suitable.
there is a flashlight)))
settings are scarce.
In addition to setting up channels and sub-tones, you can adjust power (Low / High), Width (wide / narrow), Variant CDCSS (normal / special), Scan add (No / yes)
additionally configurable: Squelch, channel switching sounding mode (voice, beep), TX time out, ALARM (internal / external)
No other settings.
other manufacturers' radios settings much more.
reprogramming the radio -
I only managed under Win XP with a 500 p cable. with nozzles for different radios (6 in 1).
compared with: Motorola GP140, Baofeng UV-82. There was another Kenwood tk 3000 m, but he was in a different frequency range and he lost ...
at the same LPD frequencies, in a building a distance of about 100 meters in a straight line, the difference of 5 floors oddly enough Baofeng UV-82 showed a good result ... and Vector vt80 st is worse ... but not much different from the others .. .
I took the vector, because I previously worked a lot with the version of VT44 military.
in general, the radio is not bad ... it works a little worse than the Motorola GP140 and, oddly enough for me, the Baofeng UV-82 ... (but this is still in the process of checking)
Perhaps later I will write down a more detailed report and change my opinion.
