In operation, the device is smart, the battery is really 1.5-2 days of normal use (I do not play games, I rarely watch movies). calls, sms, messengers, internet surfing, camera sometimes, read a book, listen to music. The screen is bright (readable in the sun), no pixels are visible, or any turbidity, a diagonal of 5.7 with a "frameless" screen, with the possibility of one-handed operation (it turns on in the settings and then the svayp from the home button in the right direction) is very convenient. The seller did not fool my head and changed the device to another. The new phone was in a different color box, the box is a little orange with the labels "Global version" and in the film (like an iPhone), whereas originally they sold me the phone in an open box (without film) in red and with the sticker "China mobile". I would especially note that in this and in another phone in the settings in the software version section the firmware is listed as "Global", so you can not even look there - everyone cleaned up as they say. Advantages: Redmi 5 lies quite well in my hands, although it is rather difficult to use it with one hand. When used with two hands, it becomes very comfortable. The smartphone is pleasant to the touch, in the case too.

The screen (costs from EBBG), as for me at Redmi 5 is great. Despite the resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels, pixelation is not visible at all. The color rendition is very good, and the white color, as for me, looks white. The sensor works very well, even slightly better than the Redmi 4X. Fingerprint scanner works very quickly, almost no mistakes.

It catches 2G / 3G / 4G and Wi-Fi is good, as well as on Redmi 4X. Internet over 3G / 4G and Wi-Fi also raises no questions. Bluetooth also did not disappoint.

The sound from the conversational dynamics and multimedia is good - the call is heard, the interlocutor, too. Another through the speaker, I rarely listen to anything, more often in science. Headphone sound is good, even slightly better than on Redmi 4X.

The rear camera (it costs OVT_OV12A10_I) takes very good pictures of daytime shots, in good light. The flash and auto focus work correctly. At night, in insufficiently poor lighting, it gives noises, although it also shoots pretty well. Front camera is working.

This amount of RAM and ROM is quite enough for applications and their data. For other data, the memory card comes to the rescue.

Since I need OTG, I am very pleased that OTG flash drives and a memory card work very well in this smartphone. Reading and writing are done without problems and at a good speed.

Snapdragon 450, fast ROM and RAM, Adreno 506 and a resolution of 1440 x 720 provide high performance in various tasks: applications load and run quickly, MIUI is very fast. It can rightly be considered almost the best smartphone for games and emulators among smartphones with a similar price.

Autonomy, as for me - great. The smartphone quietly maintains from about 9 hours to 10 hours and 30 minutes of the screen on for 2.5-4.5 days, depending on the intensity of use.

Disadvantages: Minus, rather significant:
The camera protrudes, and it can be scratched, even if it is sufficient to handle the smartphone carefully, and for those who are not very appealing, even more so can they scratch it. The case in the kit does not save the situation, you need another case with a deeper protrusion around the area of ​​the camera and a fingerprint scanner.

And one niggle, as for me:
A tray for SIM cards and a memory card are combined into one (the trouble of many smartphones). People with 2 SIM cards and a memory card will not be easy.

Maybe the other owners will find something else, but, as I did not try, I could not find any more minuses.
