I have a-s700, cd-s700 and NS555, by the way a lot of very people write that this is not acoustics at all, but feces, but I will say that this is not so, of course there are better, but there can be no limit to perfection, we say about a specific price range ... I worked on the speakers (crossovers with filmmakers, full case damping) and therefore I am quite satisfied with their sound exactly!

Advantages: The build quality, a decent power reserve, two-cable connection, high-quality sound, will cope with the control of probably the most complex acoustics, nothing superfluous, convenient remote control.

Disadvantages: One can predict, unfortunately the manufacturer does not indicate this anywhere except in the instructions for the amplifier- "Channel separation 1 / 10kHz-65 / 50Db and more, 65 dB is not very pleased me, to say the least, I reckoned that with such a device The indicator will be at least 75-80db or more, but I acquired it through the Internet in another city.
There are no other flaws for me, there are only cavils about which there is no point in talking.

Comment: I have been using it for about a year and a half in a pair with the German polochniki I.Q TED 200, the sound is linear, neutral and at the same time very powerful, energetic, dynamic even at a low volume. Listening to rock, metal, etc. is just delight and emotion.

Advantages: Powerful, clean, warm, rich sound with my NS-525F acoustics and X-Fi Titanium HD sound. Moderately analytical, powerful bass and crystal high, to medium pritenzy either. Comment: Klipsh floor speakers are connected by 4 wires - the potential of both the amplifier and the speakers is fully revealed. The sound is very pleased with its richness, dynamics, detail and naturalness. For me, this amplifier is the best that ever was before. Very pleased with the purchase!

At normal loudness, it is still better, sometimes I adjust the timbres on recordings where the high or low levels are overestimated, I listen to the quality recordings as they are. There are exactly as many frequencies as necessary, the Amplifier met all my expectations, the vocals are amazing, I wanted the effect of being present, I got it. As a source I have an external sound Lexicon U42S, connected it to the input of the CD.I tried to connect in-sound in Line, as it loses in detail, to become more matte, I liked the sound of the CD input more.
CD-Direct didn’t hear any difference at all — only that the transparency and composure of the sound slightly increases, but maybe it seems so to me.
The result is quite satisfactory, and the product and budget can be even slightly surprised, but I see this “budget” only in plastic handles on the front panel (volume knob and output switch — made of metal), and fairly simple terminals for wires. The rest of the Yamaha A-S700 looks, and most importantly sounds clearly more expensive than it costs.

Advantages: 1. Large nominal power, due to which the amplifier firmly "holds" large floor speakers;
2. There loudness (LOUDNESS). In addition, the loudness is adjustable, which is a unique feature of this amplifier;
3. Natural, even slightly analytic sound throughout the frequency range;

Disadvantages: 1. On some phonograms, the excessive “honesty” of the presentation of the material slightly interferes;
2. The loudness adjustment acts somewhat differently than expected, and greatly affects the volume. All the same, the desired result is achieved, but not in the usual way.

Comment: In favor of the Yamaha A-S700:
1. The power is sufficient to make it obvious: with large speakers the amplifier copes perfectly: the bass is noticeably stronger, and it acquires more energy.
2. The only amplifier where the depth of the loudness can be adjusted. This allows you to get a comfortable sound at any volume levels, but at the same time prevent too sharp “sibilance”
3. Natural, even analytical sound at mid and high frequencies.
Vs:
1. Analytic sound sometimes interferes. If you listen to deliberately poor-quality phonograms, then the amplifier, without any special emotions, transmits all the shortcomings of these phonograms to the listener. Denon in this situation slightly embellishes the sound, and listening becomes more comfortable. And in general, Denon sounds "fatter" and "oiled". But on good soundtracks this “fatness” is annoying. In this situation, Denon does not reveal all the charm of a good sound source.

One day of comparative listening was enough for me to keep the Yamaha. Unexpectedly, a compact cassette deck began to sound through it. Through Denon it was not interesting to listen to this deck. The vinyl player was not impressed either in conjunction with Denon or in conjunction with Yamaha.

I do not abuse loudness. If the records are very high quality, the regulator is in a small minus (-1, -1.5). If the records are harsh and harsh, I put the dial in position (-3). If, besides, there is not enough bass, I put the loudness in the middle position, while simultaneously reducing the treble level with the timbre. The bass knob is close to maximum.

It seems that the amplifier needs its own speakers, with which it will sing. Monitor Audio Silver S8? Through which I listen to him, it seems, not quite his acoustics. If Yamaha chooses the right acoustics, then that particular Yamakhovsky sound, for which some people love him, will manifest itself: a strong collected bass, transparent silver highs, creating the impression of a sunny frosty day. I heard this sound when Yama works with his own acoustics.

Advantages: Amplifier - just SUPER !!! Tops, middle, impressive bass! Loudness is a great thing, with the help of it you can also adjust the level of mids. The sound is impressive - powerful, dynamic with excellent study throughout the frequency range.

Disadvantages: Not yet revealed.

Comment: I bought this amplifier instead of the receiver. Heaven and earth !!!

Advantages: Excellent, neutral sound, similar to Roxane Kandy, comfortable remote control.

Disadvantages: Strange Loudness control, reduces the volume level, clamps to the acoustics could be put and more expensive.
