In order to installation and connection Aluminum radiator to the system of individual or central heating were performed by all the rules, you must purchase the appropriate hardware - corner, floor or pin brackets, as well as universal mounting kits.

For proper calculation of sections you need to consider:

  • radiator landing site
  • floor area
  • number of exterior walls
  • number of window openings
  • orientation of the premises in the cardinal directions.

At 1 "square" area requires 100 watts of heat. When the outer wall in the room is only one, the optimal number of sections can be approximately calculated by the formula:
K = S x 100 / P,
where K is the desired number of sections,
S is the area of the room
P - heat transfer section.

Suppose we are going to install Nova Florida Extra Therm radiators in a room with an area of 25 m2.
We consider:
K = 25 x 100/181 = 2500/181 = 13.81
For a comfortable stay we need to install the maximum number of sections - 14 pieces.
In the presence of plastic windows with laminated glass units, we subtract one-fifth or 20%, and on the contrary, for corner or end rooms, you need to add 20%.
A more accurate calculation will include a carefully measured area of window openings and exterior walls.

Competent setting Aluminum heating radiators includes a number of rules:

  • Prior to installation, it is necessary to prepare the surface of the wall on which the aluminum radiator will be installed. Repair, plastering and painting should be completed in advance, otherwise these actions will most likely be hampered after the final installation of the equipment.
  • The places for fixing the brackets are chosen and marked in such a way that the fit does not turn out to be too low or, on the contrary, high. Remembering that the device indoors gives off heat by direct radiation only by 50-60%, and the rest by convection, we leave a sufficient distance to the floor and the window sill. Optimally - from 6 to 15 cm. A closer neighborhood, firstly, will noticeably reduce heat transfer, and secondly, will make cleaning and maintenance more difficult.
  • The center of the battery should ideally coincide with the middle of the window. The horizontal line between the brackets is checked with a ruler with a level. With its help later, a strictly vertical position of the fins of the aluminum radiator is ensured during installation.
  • The recommended gap between the wall and the back side of the sections is within 2-5 cm. This will save the wall surface from the ugly dust traces of dark color formed during operation. If this does not contradict the features of the interior, you can cover the wall section behind the radiator with foil or a foamed thermal insulator, placing it with the silver side inside the room.
  • In no case can you fix the mounting brackets. They should be secured with dowels. For reliability, you can seal the parts with a solution of cement.
  • Whenever possible, the radiator is mounted directly in the package on the brackets. It is enough to release from it only those parts that are necessary for a convenient attachment of the device. It is recommended to completely remove the protective film after completing all installation steps.
  • In the upper plug of the aluminum radiator there is a special valve designed to bleed air or the so-called Mayevsky valve. Position the air vent on the other side of the side pipes.To tighten the valve apply a torque wrench, which allows you to control the force so that it does not exceed 12 kg.
  • Do not fence off the radiator from the room with a decorative screen or blackout curtains. This will reduce heat transfer and will contribute to the accumulation of dust. In addition, the presence of a thermostat makes it difficult to work.
  • During the installation and operation of aluminum radiator, the use of emery cloth or files, as well as additional painting of plugs, taps, fittings or sections themselves are not allowed.
  • If during the summer period the heaters are blocked by ball valves, the air vent must be open.
