Top 10 electric floor heating
Elementary physics suggests that the most efficient heating should be placed below - and what's at home below the floor? Yes, and just walk on the "warm floor" is much nicer, even if the temperature in the room is quite comfortable thanks to traditional radiators. Electric floor heating, although it has well-defined power requirements, is many times more convenient to install than regular, connected to central heating. In addition, it is safe in terms of leaks and perfectly compatible with thermostats - the electric heater can set any comfortable temperature without any special tricks.
Almost any floor can be made “warm” except for the cork one (the cork layer is an excellent heat insulator: the ceiling at the neighbor’s floor is warmer rather than the floor is yours). Most likely, probably, a good electric underfloor heating under the tiles in the toilet and bathroom: in this case, you can immediately pave the floor when you pour the screed thermal cable or more convenient to install mat. However, if you fill the floor in the living room under any other coating, for example, under the laminate, then here such a warm floor will come in handy. The key here is precisely fill: both of these types of thermal floors can not be simply laid under the floor!
But for the repair of "little blood" (for example, if you are going to cover the plank floor with linoleum or carpet) "the very thing" is infrared warm floor. It fits without a mandatory fill, unlike cable heating and heat mats. In addition, heat film minimally raises the level of the floor - it has the smallest thickness.
Well, we decided - we put an electric floor heating. It remains to decide which one - well, and this is traditionally our work.

The best "heating cables" for floor heating
Electric heat-insulated floor of Electrolux ETC 2-17-1200
10 990
Speaking of heating systems, you involuntarily turn your eyes towards Scandinavia - there is a need for heat in these parts, and the concept of quality has not yet been forgotten. Finally, Scandinavians traditionally value comfort and safety, and this is also not superfluous for floor heating systems. So who should we turn to first of all, if not to Electrolux, a company from a locally-Swedish company that has turned into a transnational concern?
The first thing that catches your eye is that the Electrolux electric floor heating kit in its class (we specifically chose sets of an equal area of 10 "squares") is more powerful than many others. Since cable systems are not bought for a year or two, and are usually installed for life (directly buried in concrete), this difference over time eliminates the price gap with more expensive cables. Especially given the fact that electricity is unlikely to ever begin to fall in price with us. But, on the other hand, it promises a faster access to the “working mode”, and to some extent indicates a lack of savings on materials (with an equal length, a heat cable with lower power definitely has thinner heating wires). When using a thermostat, the maximum power is even a plus - less switching intervals (which reduces the gap in power consumption), there remains a margin for cooling. As for the quality of workmanship (the production, by the way, is located in Israel), we have no complaints - the cable from Electrolux fully complies with the requirements for such products. Manufacturer's warranty - 20 years. Main advantages:

Electric heat-insulated floor of DEVI DEVIflex 18T (DTIP-18) of 1340 W
14 300
The Danish brand DEVI is an abbreviation of Dansk El-Varme Industri (“the Danish electric heaters industry”), the company since its foundation in 1942 has specialized in electric heaters. Well, it has been producing thermal cables themselves for more than half a century, so it’s definitely worthy of getting into our rating of the best electric underfloor heating.
Its efficiency is not different in efficiency - this kit has the highest power consumption among those in the rating (1.34 kW), despite the fact that it is designed not even for 10 "squares" like the others, but for 9.1 m2, this is needed. In this case, the cable is more expensive than others. Therefore, we cannot give the first place to this kit, alas. But the quality here is really "five": we cannot find any flaws in DEVI, and any professional will firstly mention this brand when it comes to the question "what kind of floor heating is better to deliver?" So, if finances allow, you should follow this advice. Main advantages:

Firm proven, albeit expensive, but as a result sure. |
Electric heat-insulated floor of Warmstad WSS-1115
6 300
Domestic heat cable, the brand name of which, however, clearly gives “zakosy” under the Scandinavian languages, will cost almost twice cheaper than calculated for the same area Electrolux.
However, even if one excludes “overpayment for the brand”, it is still suspicious that the manufacturer has saved on something. Indeed, in quality, this heating cable is inferior to other participants in the rating - there are complaints about breaks or burn-out of heating filaments with time. Therefore, we will not advise pouring such an electric floor heating with a thick layer under the tile - it will be unnecessarily expensive and difficult to change it, here it is better to immediately put something more serious. But to lay a more accessible way for dismantling is quite possible. And, of course, pay attention to the bending radii when laying: this is the “narrowest” place at the cable. Main advantages:

Normal inexpensive electric underfloor heating, as for me - I took two rooms, here Electrolux came out too expensive. |
Electric heat-insulated floor of Thermo SVK-20 1020 of W
13 104
It would seem that not just a compatriot of Electrolux, but their neighbor: the Internet helpfully informs us that Thermo Industri AB is “registered” in the same Stockholm. However, the fact that in the foreign segment of the Network just about the information of this company the minimum limit (only its website itself), already expectedly shows us that again these “Swedes” have a Russian face from that very city where shaurma is called shaverma , and the curb - curb.
Specifically, this set of heat cable is designed for an area of ten "squares" - it is normal for a small room as independent heating or just as floor heating in combination with traditional heating. The cable fully complies with all safety requirements - sealed (up to the possibility of working outdoors and with immersion in water), shielded, grounded and enclosed in a self-extinguishing sheath. Energy consumption is slightly more than a kilowatt, which limits the use of relatively “warm” floors of buildings. The branded thermostat (purchased separately) is able to set the floor temperature to an accuracy of 1 degree, and the company offers a choice of at least available models, where the temperature is set by the usual “twist”, although the premium ones are digitally controlled and have an abundance of settings. But we would prefer to pay that kind of money for a “real Swedish cable”, rather than “imitation of crab meat”, would you agree? So, for the "muddy" biography, we will definitely lower the points of the rating to the heating cable. Main advantages:

Best infrared films
Electric heat-insulated floor of Electrolux ETS 220-10
18 400
Produced under the Swedish brand in South Korea, the film is designed for a room with an area of the same 10 square meters, which we possibly take for ease of comparison. Its power consumption is noticeably higher than that of the heat cable of the same company, designed for the same area: 2.4 kW vs. 1.2 kW. Agree, the difference is decent, while the price of the infrared film is higher.
Nevertheless, this film is definitely worthy of its price in terms of quality, it heats up quickly and it is much easier to fit than a heat cable - even though it is directly under linoleum (read the instructions before taking up the job!). Perhaps we have the best infrared floor heating, and in this category Electrolux deserves first place. Main advantages:

Laying infrared floor heating under linoleum, works great. Additional work - at least. |
Electric heat-insulated floor of Caleo PLATINUM 230-0,5 1680 W
16 438
In the production line of the domestic brand Caleo (which, however, does not have a full cycle in Russia - components are purchased in Asia), the Platinum series is most interesting: it has the longest guarantee period (50 years), the allowable cutting step is only 5 cm, it is allowed to install furniture on top padded film.
But at the same time it is also the most expensive - since the maximum footage offered by the firm is designed for six "squares", in fact it will cost more than "Electrolux". By the ratio of the average price to the meter at Electrolux, we get 1,840 rubles per square meter of heated area, here - more than 2,700. Agree, the difference is rather big. Therefore, it is wiser to choose the combined option, installing a more durable (but also more expensive) film only where it is truly justified. Main advantages:

Electric heat-insulated floor of Caleo GOLD 170-0,5 1700 W
21 685
Here the comparison is simpler - the company has a set of 10 "squares" in the catalog of the Gold series. At the same time, compare the cost per meter of heated space: it is still higher than that of Electrolux, although lower than that of the Caleo “platinum” film. Heating, however, is also weaker here: the power is almost the same (1700 W vs. 1680 for “platinum”), but this kit is designed for an additional 4 square meters.
In addition, in comparison with the “platinum” film Caleo, the cutting step here is higher (20 cm), the “self-regulation of temperature” is removed, and the guarantee is less - only 15 years. In the end, perhaps, if you choose the infrared film is not "under the furniture", then it is necessary to choose the Electrolux warm floor, and not Caleo Gold. Main advantages:

The best heating mats
Electric heat-insulated floor of DEVI DEVImat 200T (DTIF-200) 2070 of W
32 972
In this section of the rating, the Danes win a convincing victory - DEVI, of course, is not classified as a cheap brand, but their “warm mat” is effective, reliable and safe. Electricity consumption - a little more than 2 kilowatts.
This series has specially increased power: the manufacturer indicates that such mats can be laid even on warmed loggias and in other conditions when increased heat loss is inevitable. Therefore, under normal conditions, it is enough to cut the appetite of the mat with a thermostat - but with a sharp cooling or a drop in the temperature of the radiators, this supply will help to maintain a comfortable temperature at home. As for the quality and reliability of this electric floor heating, we traditionally have no complaints about DEVI. Main advantages:

Good mate, even in February, copes fine. |
Electric heat-insulated floor of Electrolux EEFM 2-150-11
23 590
A Swedish by name (though again produced in Israel again) is almost 10 thousand cheaper than the Danish one, but more “heat-loving” - no matter how hard it is, its power is 420 watts less. And this is despite the fact that it is not designed for 10, but for 11 square meters of space (by the way, it can stretch to a greater length than originally calculated). Therefore, it is not suitable for any room - where the Devi will work normally, Electrolux will underheat even at maximum power.
So immediately find out what conditions the mat will work in - maybe the savings will not pay off. In general, a properly selected Electrolux room will only please you, let it be collected in a country where, instead of a “warm floor”, “cold” is more relevant. The quality, safety of use and reliability are on an excellent level. Main advantages:

Electric heat-insulated floor of Caleo SUPERMAT 200-0,5 2000 of W
23 822
In this section of the “Korean-Russian” rating, the mate got up from the “Swedish-Israeli” almost head-to-head, it was difficult to choose a clear winner. The advantages of Caleo - increased power (2 kW), which allows it to work in areas with high heat loss, three-layer Teflon insulation and a smaller thickness that simplifies installation. But the same smaller thickness affects the strength: for example, in the nursery we would be “just in case of a fireman”, pah-pah, we would prefer Electrolux.
Therefore, of the two mats, which are essentially the same, we still gave our voice to a safer and more durable. But, if you plan to lay the mat under a durable coating, and the room is cold enough, then Caleo will also have its advantages. Main advantages:

High-quality electric floor heating from the series "laid, turned on, forgot." |
Which electric floor heating is better to choose?
The “classic” of an electric floor heating for more than half a century is, of course, a heat cable, which is a conventional flexible heating element. Such a cable does not need to be poured into the floor screed - they, for example, are placed in the gutters of the drains so that they do not freeze over, they are led through the water supply pipes.
The heat mat is a modern development of the idea of heat cables, which made laying more convenient: the same cable is attached to the grid, which is laid on the floor before pouring and is often attached to the base by an adhesive layer. Installation is simplified many times, which is definitely a plus.
But what to do if you want to do with "little blood"? For example, just under the linoleum neither the cable nor the mat can be laid - it will be sold, and you will have the entire floor in zigzags from the cable. The solution in this case is an infrared film: they are thin, easily stowed, and they are particularly durable, they even allow furniture to be placed on top of them, despite the thin floor covering.
As for power, take into account the particularities of the room: if the floor itself is cold (for example, the first floor without a basement), then the heater power must be greater than in a warm room on the second floor, where the heat loss is much lower. In such rooms are usually used underfloor heating, positioned by manufacturers as designed "for loggias."
Considering that you will literally walk along the current-carrying wires, do not save on the quality of a heated floor: reliable multi-layer insulation, ideally “self-extinguishing” (compressing on an overheated conductor without allowing air access to the inner layers of insulation), must be, as non-flammable reinforcement inside. Well, do not forget about grounding and RCD, of course.
Have a good shopping!
