The main thing is not to confuse it with the Base 50F model: these are completely different pipes, the model with the prefix F has a fixed multiplicity (7x).

Optics (material - VK-7) is not bad in quality; one cannot say that it has excessive residual aberrations. With long-term observations, the eyes do not get tired, as it happens with low-quality optics - it seems that the sharpness is normal, but “something is wrong” all the same. With Levenhuk, long-term observations are quite possible - of course, if you directly compare this pipe with higher-end models, the difference will be obvious, but do not forget about the price difference.

This budget telescope for little money offers us the opportunity to work with magnifications up to 50 times, which is undoubtedly interesting. However, a tripod is already necessary for such a multiplicity, and here the inconvenience of a direct eyepiece begins to affect: it is not for nothing that most of the telescopes are equipped with angular ones. Taking into account the fact that the pipe came out compact enough and comfortable to hold with one hand, it would be worth expanding the range of multiplicities to the lower side: you can, of course, look at the minimum 20x without a tripod, but the shaking of your hand is already visible to the eye.

But it is good that the manufacturer, by reducing the price, saves on the secondary, and not on the quality of the optics. Indeed, a simple and not very convenient case, and the primitive covers on the lenses are much less “sin” than the soap and dark, or even frankly “crooked” optics. We have no complaints about the quality of the image for Yukon.

Oh, those Chinese. Look at this telescope - you will not find the “Veber” lettering on the case, but the large and embossed “Pioneer” inscriptions, and even made in a font very similar to that used by the Japanese company of the same name, immediately climb into your eyes. Immediately, the Cherkizovsky market, Abibas sneakers and other Chinese-made joints smelled right away - and, for the generally well-known budget brand, such mimicry “under the company” already looks ridiculous.

But still talk about the pipe itself. Its multiplicity range is from 15x to 45x, the pipe fits comfortably in your hand, so it can be used without a tripod. Especially at the minimum multiplicity - at the maximum already and the shaking of hands is noticeable, and manufacturing flaws are already beginning to emerge into the light in the form of “soapiness” of the image and the growth of distortion at the edges of the visual field. Take this into account when choosing a telescope: although the price is “tastier nowhere”, but the quality corresponds to it.

In fact, we have not just a telescope in our hands, but an inexpensive entry-level telescope - “aiming” at a small lens, you can quickly switch to the main 100-mm telescope with a maximum approximation of 100 times, and this is already quite suitable for learning astronomy. The pipe has a turning eyepiece and can be mated with a special adapter for cameras or video attachment - you can always share what you saw in the sky.

The only, but rather serious, “but” for the Russian climate is that the pipe cannot work in the cold: both the plastic controls and the rubber seals are corny freeze. And this is despite the fact that it is the most convenient time for observations for the astronomer in winter.
