I bought a GSR 1800-LI model for $ 190 a little more than a year ago and now I noticed rejections in the operation of batteries. Upon careful familiarization with the product (disassembling the battery, since the 3-year warranty on the battery does not apply) was shocked by the absence in the battery or the charger of an elementary recharge controller and overdischarge of each battery in the battery, which roughly violates the operating conditions of li-ion batteries. According to clause 6.6.2 of the specification for Samsung's li-ion elements INR 18650, used in these battery packs, the monitoring system must necessarily contain a control device for each cell and interrupt the charge upon reaching a voltage of no more than 4.2 + -0.05V on any cell and interrupt the discharge while reducing the voltage on any element of at least 2.5V. Clause 8.8-WARNING! Inaccurate fulfillment of the specification conditions may lead to performance degradation or failure, as well as to leakage, fire, explosion or fire !!! In connection with the foregoing, I believe that such a design carries at least commercial interest (the cost of a low-current controller is scanty) - the battery is designed to achieve the minimum service life for obtaining additional profit (the cost in our sc. Is more than $ 60 for 1 pc.) subsequent implementation through service centers. The Bosch-Ukraine representative office did not respond to my appeal, but judging by the old price (it is on these models) during the growth of the exchange rate, it becomes clear that the company is trying to get rid of the questionable product in any way. There are no complaints about the screwdriver itself, with the exception of frequent disconnections of the electronics for about a minute - whoever will not be alarmed with this is the norm.

I bought this tool 2 years ago after Hitachi, I immediately liked balancing, the battery holds for quite a long time, the quality of workmanship at C grade (in terms of contacts on the battery and Shurik itself), the case is durable, dropped several times from the 2nd floor to the wooden floor and ground, the state . I note the need to tape the serial numbers on the case with scotch tape, they are printed on paper and stupidly began to disappear from it after about a week of active use (this fact directly affects the warranty, with an unreadable serial number you will not accept it).The case is so-so, although the dimensions are quite compact (the equipped shurik, the charger and 2 batteries are excellent, you can’t cram in extra items). in the cold the battery quickly sits down. During normal operation, one battery lasts about 180-200pcs of wood screws per 100 mm. A year later, he began to howl gear, did not pay attention and stupidly used almost every day. Alas today, while drilling the next hole, smoke came out of the case and stank of burning wiring smelled, burned the instrument, which I regret very much. I plan to buy the same one, because from the old 3 batteries are still in good condition. During the use of the shurik, the following work was done: the floors were tightened (scoop by 50mm and flooring), wooden ceilings were installed, drywall was installed on the walls and ceiling, the living area was 240 sq.
