- Brazenly lying about running out of toner. First bombed with annoying messages, and the printing stops until you press the button. Then he refuses to print at all. This happens much earlier than the declared resource. In this case, the copier works without problems, that is, there is a toner in the cartridge. If you open the cartridge and fool the sensor, you can rearrange the gears to their original position, you can still print for a very long time, enough for 1-2 packs of paper.
- Totally stupid control panel. Who will explain to me how the Cancel, Clear and Stop buttons differ? At the same time, in some situations, they manage to use the numeric buttons, rather than these inscribed options, to request further action. It is completely illogical and inconsistent in different, but similar tasks using different buttons.
- Does not recognize a scan button from a computer, at least when connected wirelessly. For two years of operation, the manufacturer has released three updates to correct this error. Go and now there.
- If you run the scanner from the panel and not from the computer, you first need to go through the interrogation with addiction - where to scan - on the computer, in ftp, email? Scan profile To continue scanning a multi-page document, you need to press 1 (means that there will be more pages) and approx. If you are hesitating with the next page or making a mistake with the continuation number, start over.Selection options between sessions are not saved. Scanning a book turns into torture.
- The default mode is fax. There is no way to change this. If I do not use the fax, and I need a copier, before I press Start, I have to switch the mode. He took a year ago to the office as a replacement for individual printers from users, due to the perpetual purchase of cartridges for them. A year has passed. Damage was not. Native cartridges have never been bought, all the time just unoriginal. Problems with printing has never been. An office of 12 people, almost of retirement age, got used to this unit a week later and forgot about their stationary printers. The document flow was not very large, in my opinion (only 10,000 sheets were printed and copied in a year). Setting up the printer over WiFi and installing drivers on users was a matter of one or two without any tambourines.
After the first month of use, the same printer was purchased in the accounting department in exchange for the Xerox multifunction printer, whose original cartridge costs 5,000 rubles !!! (half the cost of the new MFP) and a non-original cartridge 3,500 rubles.
As a result, now there are 2 such MFPs available, with reliable printing, network scanning and wireless (put it anywhere, plug it in and work).
The first time I ran into Brother printers and was pleased with the quality of the hardware.
I appeal to those who are considering this model for purchase: take it unambiguously if you need a reliable machine for laser b / w printing, network scanning. We have already justified itself in all expenditures.

Merits
- There are no problems with consumables, everything is easily refilled with your own hands! Working on WiFi without problems for more than six months, new cartridges (which are TN-2275) have incorporated the best features from the ancestors of the 21st series. Appearance is not annoying, because almost no gloss.
disadvantages
- The incompatibility of the new software with the old models, i.e. for the second network scanner, you will have to install different versions of the same control panel on the computer, but this is only if you need to connect one PC to two multifunction devices. Two network printers are installed without problems!

Regarding the described deficiency, I wrote to their support service, they answered as quickly as possible and in the case: they honestly admitted that only installing two versions (3 and 4) would be possible to achieve two network scanners on one PC for different models of MFPs. There are no problems with refueling and printing, I switched to Brother and forgot how I used to suffer with chips and low-quality refueling.
