The laptop has many advantages, and the disadvantages, for the most part, are related to the software, and will be (or were) corrected by updates. Some functions of the laptop are still too cool for frequent use (wifi ac and connecting 4k external displays, for example. Few people use it)
If you buy a high-resolution laptop, then learn how to work with it properly, and do not complain. If someone does not like how applications are scaled, there is always the possibility to put 1600: 900, and see the pixels.
