But now I decided to switch to FF. Choose between 5DSR and 5D Mark IV.
Other devices are not considered because stock glasses.
From 5DSR refused to read reviews about the narrow specialization of the unit with a matrix of 50 million pixels.

5DM4 not surprised. It turned out to be completely in line with the expectations.
On the 5DM4, the manual mode was just amazing.
I shoot in AF mode with a measurement at a central point.
Not smears, tenaciously holds goal.

Screen touch screen. Instant response. Installations are intuitive and straightforward. I like the possibility of independent and very fast white balance settings.
I rarely use a joystick, and then when viewing finished photos in zoom mode. The main work surfaces are the familiar 60D "wheel" under the index finger to change the shutter speed and the dial to control the aperture diameter. This is all without looking away from the viewfinder.
To adjust the ISO, it is enough to grope with the index finger the second button to the right just above the “wheel”.

Excellent opportunity to edit pictures in the camera. I make friends and immediately after a small light correction I send via WiFi to my smartphone, on which I installed the Canon program.
Included with the camera is a disc with very necessary software. Especially pleased with the photo editor. After my photoshop refused to be updated and I lost the RAW editor, the software from the disk from the kit turned out to be the way.
The battery discharges very quickly. On the "view pictures in a calm atmosphere" charge is not enough.
The issue is solved by buying a second battery. Took neoriginal for 2,5tr.
I have never tried to shoot a video yet. And not for this to buy.
I rented in any setting.

Disadvantages: dynamic range does not work in highlights. light areas often knocks out. and there is no information left, respectively, nothing to pull out. usually it is heaven and it almost never exists. help with D + does not really save.
third-party lenses such as sigma, tamron work normally only with disabled lens enhancers in the camera settings.

Comment: I think the manufacturer can fix the situation with DD programmatically. perhaps having finished a new firmware. Especially as it turned out in the technology of dual pixel, the whole picture in the light areas is fully available, but it is not easy to get it. But it is necessary that this information be immediately saved in the rav. on lenses; Both (two) with a aperture of 1.2 work accurately and beautifully, the resolution is more than. autofocus is much better than previous marks.

3. Lifeview. Previously, it was not a demanded option for taking photos. The camera now detects faces, and keeps the focus in the eye. And it does it better than its own scope. On what fixed the focus by poking your finger on the screen, there it will be, while you decide on framing, pull your hand at a concert or just wait for the right moment. Autofocus impeccable.

The camera stands on a tripod, you put the model in the location on your smartphone and immediately see what happens in the viewfinder, completely controlling the camera. If you mount work in the same direction, you can tape the camera and not approach it at all, which minimizes frame shifts and simplifies installation.

3. Price. Difference from still relevant 5dm3 in a heap of trifles and half a dozen new buns. Yes, the camera has become better, but decide for yourself whether to overpay, because the number of improvements is not proportional to the price increase. Although for some people these improvements are necessary.

Comment: This is an improved trio with sensory controls. All the same universal device, but updated to current trends. Take it to a completely new camera is difficult. There are no megastrums here (are they needed?). Improved absolutely everything, but a little bit. The transition from 5dm3 is justified if you do not have the burden of money. If this is a lot of money for you, you should not spend money, much less borrow it.

Oh, and controversial improvements:
A dual pixel (like a toy with GRIP and a boke) is a cool thing in the project, and can be claimed if the developers of adobe put a separate panel in the light room and flash for its adjustment. Is this a good camera? Yes, of course. Better than 5dm3? Yes, definitely.

Disadvantages: If you shoot during the day in the street in aperture-priority mode with exposure settings of 0 (by default), the lights will practically not drag at all, the automation will almost completely knock out the sky, which cannot be saved during development.
Also, a whole stop of lights is in the dual pixel, in another channel, and it cannot be reached by regular means. Apparently this is a kind of a cant manufacturer. We look forward to when the ACR will understand DPraw.
Approximately 15-20% of carcasses in Russia have a small spoilage (carcasses freeze until the battery can be removed to work). I personally know about 10 people with such a problem, the problem is floating, but it has a place to be. I still had one hang for ~ 15K run.
The requirements for optics have greatly increased, all the top optics developed until 2012 do not allow the matrix of the camera ON OPEN HOLE (F1.2-1.4).

In general, the camera turned out good, but the nuances with the lights and floating hangs upset.

The white balance has stopped slipping into magenta with natural light, as it was on previous heels. In general, the metering module has become more advanced. It tends to slide more into the warm spectrum, which in most cases is beneficial to the picture. Maybe some should set the BB shift in the Blue-Magenta camera to +1.

The metering works quite accurately, is often prone to slight overescence in bright sunshine and works perfectly in zero in even light.

And, of course, color. He still beautifully embellishes the skin, while remaining within the usual canon scheme. But I still want to note that he has become better. Such a wow effect was only with 1Ds3, and now with 5D4. The color is very pretty and time saving. I give the models photos immediately after shooting in jpeg from the camera.

Autofocus, though it looks similar, has also undergone some changes. Increased slightly coverage area of ​​dots frame. Special thanks to canon for the new technology Dual Pixel AF, coupled with a touch screen. This is something that I personally did not have enough for staged shooting earlier. Not only is it convenient to manage now and by touching the screen the focus is instantly caught. So he became very accurate with the ability to track faces. Incredibly handy feature.

Videographers cry bitter tears, that video 4K capabilities are very mediocre. I do not dare to judge them, for me it is first of all a camera.

After two months of use, the camera feels thoughtful for any genre of shooting. 5D4 is almost devoid of the shortcomings of the previous models. But it has a lot of improvements and cool color, which greatly simplifies the work of the photographer.

Comment: I watched the full-format camera market for a long time. I chose between all modern analogues (Sony, Nikon, Kenon). On the hands were 6D and 5dm2 of their own.
Sony froze in the cold in January + the unjustifiably inflated price of the flagship FF. Nikon 750d - not much noticed the difference between 6d and him. On the 810th, there was not enough time and energy before the start of the season (according to the parameters, it loses to this camera in the video settings). When renting 5dm4 it was struck by its inexpressible color rendition, autofocus. Compatibility with the whole hill of batteries after 5dm2 and 6d is especially pleasing. Fits well in hand. Managing camera settings has reached a new level. Watching the footage rewinding it like on an iPhone is a separate happiness.
Bought a week ago. He filmed a video, a photo session in the studio and on the street - the impressions are extremely positive.

It is very tenacious, in a compartment with a touch screen it is very convenient (choosing focus points on the screen). Video in 4K mode is flawless - ringing, with bitrates up to 500 Mbps - you can make video clips of unimaginable quality and detail!

About the battery. I took a photo on one charge - about 300-400 frames and in a couple of days I recorded a video of 1 hour in FULL HD with tracking focus. The charge showed one division. This is certainly not a record 6D, but the result is quite impressive. It is quite possible it would be enough for another photo session) But in any case, I have a spare battery, which I really used very rarely ...

Summing up, I want to say only one thing - Canon made a great machine - that was so necessary! Opened new horizons of creativity (I'm talking about the video :))

Comment: I rent a week, compare with 3 penny. I must say: I am an amateur photographer, so do not judge strictly. Prior to that, 2 years shot on the third penny. Mostly I shoot portraits on the street and in the studio, sometimes indoors.
3 penny suited me completely, I wanted more resolution from this camera (so that the face detail on a chest portrait would be “facial” on 3 pentads), large Iso workers (sometimes I take pictures in the evening without external light).
I got one and the other: now iso 3200 is absolutely working, 6400 is conditionally working, at 6400 there is almost no noise, only if you search hard.
The resolution has increased the detail. I would not say that this is heaven and earth, but the difference is obvious. This is especially noticeable on the croppé 100 Immediately you can see every pore of the skin, I like. I rented to the integrated optics.
By and large, improvements are not grand. I think people for whom the camera is a working tool will not pay extra money for innovations, because the client may not notice the difference.
