As the owner of one and the other, I say unequivocally, it is better to choose a bunch of amplifier + acoustics. Acoustics, of course, also different, in my case it is a Yamaha NS-B951 + Yamaha amplifier. So the difference is that when I pulled the edifier data out of the package and connected it to my CD audio player, I was so depressed and disappointed that after a few minutes of listening to completely different musical material, I wanted to put this acoustics back into the package and pass it to the store. But still decided to leave as a holiday option.These edifiers are inferior to Yamaha acoustics in absolutely everything, despite the titanium tweeters here and there, on the edifier, the sound is much less detailed, I can not hear some of the sounds that are present on the NS-B951. The middle is more sandwiched and dry; the low frequencies do not even reach close to the depth that the yamaha is capable of. The comparison is of course not correct, as might be expected from a 5.5-inch midrange. For its size, the bass is quite decent, but when you compare it with something better, it is sorely lacking. What can we say, if any car speakers more or less normally outstanding bass starts from 6.5 inches and then provided competent installation with a good amplifying part.

Comment: Apparently all the accolades are written by users who repelled when compared with cheaper analogs of multimedia acoustics. The amplifier part in the edifier is wonderful, even if you put the ear close to the included acoustics - there are no noises, the protective grills are very gentle, just like gauze, I haven’t met such a thin material on one acoustics, it is unlikely to protect against any more or less serious mechanical impact. I was surprised by the weight of this acoustics, the feeling that the Chinese flooded the inner space with lead, as in batteries, almost ruptured when they were being dragged. The AptX system works fine, but provided that your smartphone supports this sound transmission technology !!! If not, then the sound of bluetooth will be just the disgusting, keep this in mind! I want to note one very unpleasant moment, the sound on this acoustics is not regulated as usual, that is, smoothly, but in predetermined automatically programmed steps, that is, it will not be possible to listen to this acoustics at night if the sound source, for example, a CD player or a network player does not sound volume control options. Do you understand yes? !! Tin! That is, music lovers of this acoustics in general is contraindicated. At night you make the volume control with just one click to the right of zero, and the acoustics are already beginning to shout so that the neighbors won't thank you for sure, you only have to listen from sources that can adjust the sound (computer, TV, smartphone, etc.)

Comment: I used the R2700 for a year, I will not say that the bad ones, in general, were satisfied, but there were complaints about the sound. 1- There was a feeling of roughness on HF. 2-LF "podguzhivali" and nalezali on the midrange. I listened from different sources; aune t1mk2, audioquest dragonfly 1, hm601. With something better with something worse, but the above claims were heard from all sources. In general, it was ripe for replacing speakers with something else, the choice fell on edifier s1000db, and there was no opportunity to listen before buying. After reading a few reviews of real owners (I don’t really trust the professional reviewers) I decided to take it! Not without problems, but I bought them (as it turned out available it is difficult to find, under the order). I will not say in grams, but on a vskidku with a smaller size weigh no less than r2700). Externally, they look the same as in the photo, i.e. If the pics like it live will not disappoint! Well, the main thing, the sound! There is nothing to complain about to my ears) HF is clean and transparent. Bass elastic, scathing and at the same time deep. MF at first seemed to be lowered, now the toli is “warming up”, or the ear has adapted such a sensation does not arise, there are exactly as many of them as needed. As already written before me, the “scene is built” chic, there is no feeling that “once a swan is pike-eating with cancer” :), together and harmoniously. I also liked that they play well at a quiet volume, i.e. in the evening before bedtime, listen to what you need and twist the volume there is no desire - you can hear everything and do not interfere with the children sleeping in the next room. In a word, it is unspeakably pleased with the acquisition). By the way, unexpectedly they sing very well on the blues, quite listenable. In general, like.

When you look at pictures on the Internet you can’t even imagine how beautiful it looks in live. AND! how much the sound amazes with its volume and purity. Having brought this heavy box home, I finally unpacked it and hooked it up. As it should poprognyal music in FLAC `s at a good volume (about 50-80%), gave warm up so to speak)) and now I enjoy its sound constantly when I hang out at home. And now some features that I personally were unknown.
connecting to a computer / phone via jack 3.5mm is better not via AUX a via PC, the sound seemed to be much cleaner, mb everyone knows that, of course ... music via Bluetooth sounds the same as through a wire, this Bluetooth takes very high quality through walls and 10 meters is easy, as witnessed, the test itself in the store and at home.
Who likes to listen to music at a low volume, but is afraid that these speakers are only for hands-free, do not be afraid anymore, they sound great and so and so. The back wall of the active speaker is not heated at all, a surprise after the previous acoustics. I listen to the classic postcards electronic and heavy, in all genres s1000db I like 100%.
