Garmin GPSMAP 64ST Reviews

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Reliable
Long battery life
Accuracy (accuracy of only 3 meters)
Disadvantages: It is not possible to immediately drive into memory a point away from the track (route).
The screen would have been better, but then there will be batteries. In principle, more than enough quality.
Comment: I bought a serious trip. It justifies itself to 10000%

Advantages: Quickly looking for satellites, durable, conveniently in the hand, long live batteries, the ability to download maps, Birdseye subscription (better pictures than others), not heavy, on a sunny day you can see the information without illumination. Navigator can tell quite accurately the altitude, time of entry and sunrise, the exact time.
Disadvantages: Not even a disadvantage, but once in the navigation mode, he offered to turn me off an asphalt straight road and make a multi-kilometer hook on the primer =)
Comment: I am satisfied with the purchase, like an elephant =) Navigator has become an indispensable attribute in walks through the woods and hikes. The integrated map for Sakhalin was just about anything. No problem loaded OSM map with an extra layer of relief. Later he glued the GHZ card himself and also downloaded it without any problems. In hikes, it is easy to switch between maps and satellite images.

Advantages: Tenacious signal, well protected case, optimum resource when using NiMH batteries.
Disadvantages: Cannot work normally with lithium batteries.
Comment: Note!
This model disables lithium batteries, while often not even included. Such a problem was noted on both navigators in my hands. I strongly recommend not using lithium batteries in this model. The best option is NiMH batteries with reduced self-discharge.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Supports two GPS and GLONASS standards. Steady signal. AA batteries. Micro SD slot (you can download folk cards). Hardware 3-axis compass with compensation. Button interface. 2 years warranty and free delivery in Russia. In the event of a breakdown, they do not repair it and change it to a new one.
Disadvantages: Old and slow USB. Low screen resolution.
Comment: Bought for tourism and fishing. In use month. No complaints yet. Of course, where there is a cellular signal on a smartphone, it is sometimes more convenient, but if you go into the taiga or go on a boat to the distant islands, the smartphone turns into an unnecessary trinket and then you understand what you paid for by buying 64-ku. Button-interface is no more reliable.Try in the rain on the touch screen to work or in the winter in the sea and gloves. I bought through the office. site. Got to share, it was even cheaper than at the capital radio markets.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Waterproof case, AA, GLOANASS, third-party cards.
Disadvantages: Slowly working through USB, a model like new, could be screwed 3.0 ... Search for addresses is lame.
Comment: For tourism (hunting, mushrooms, etc.) is an excellent model, and it works great without GLOANASS. On the battery 2700ma in GLOANASS mode 16-17 hours, GPS 20-22 approximately.

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Strong and tight case, smart processor.
Support GLONASS, quick position detection after power on.
The ability to charge batteries without removing them from the device.
ANT + allows you to connect even a pulse sensor (data is written to a file) :)
Disadvantages: There was a problem with the "pickup" of the external temperature sensor, they fixed it in the latest firmware, now everything is fine.
Comment: I also use it on a bicycle, but after breaking Etrex 20 I concluded that everything valuable should be removed from the steering wheel.
Perhaps this is the best gadget I've ever held in my hands, well, still VIRB :)

Evaluation 5
Advantages: - Support GLONASS
- Waterproof, shockproof housing
- Fast processor, fast satellite search
- Internal memory 8GB
- Possibility of charging the battery from the cigarette lighter in the car
- slot for microSD
Disadvantages: - Price
Comment: Great device, I use this series with another 60 device. Then there was 62, now decided to upgrade to 64st. Pleased that supports GLONASS. Quick search for satellites. Unlike 62 devices, a better screen is installed on 64, now everything is visible in the bright sun. A large amount of 8gb internal memory is enough to store several cards, if the internal memory is not enough, then the card can be stored on microSD (the slot for microSD is located under the batteries), you need to create a garmin directory on the card and throw the necessary cards there. In the 64 device, it became possible to charge batteries, but only native, made by Garmin. Their production batteries are dual, and have a special platform that presses the button under the batteries (protection against a fool, so that people do not charge simple batteries). But such a thing can be bypassed by putting a piece of plastic on the button (let's say a SIM card) and inserting ordinary batteries from above, thereby holding the button down. After that, simple batteries will be charged from the cigarette lighter in the car. In general, the device is excellent, never failed. I advise!
