Reviews for Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 Black USB

Evaluation 5
Advantages: Key illumination. Long battery life. No noise. The presence of a digital unit. Quiet keystroke.
Disadvantages: Not.
Comment: Works with the mouse from a single module. When approaching the hands of the keyboard is highlighted. When you work / play in the evening or at night at home, and everyone is already asleep and it is undesirable to turn on the light, an ideal option (critical for me). It is not necessary, as with a conventional keyboard in the dark, to cover the screen with your palm to see what you are typing, straining your eyes, etc. She can not hear. Tactile sensations are great. Someone about the left SHIFT wrote that small. I agree, but any variations are addictive. Used for 2 days. I charge once a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The backlight level affects the time and can be adjusted with the F keys.
Review decided to write 12/18/2014, after the price increase. I have been using this clave for 3 years. I took over 3,000. A week ago I took the same job, but already for 5,000 rubles. Today I saw a price tag in a network discounter - 8,000 rubles. Well, what to say. If the need for a keyboard now arose, it would probably consider even a loan (if there was no money) to purchase. For all the time using computers: since 1990, I didn’t have a better keyboard. Although for the price adequacy I set the lowest rating, because I do not consider the price of 8,000 adequate for the keyboard. The salary of some citizens in some regions in some activities is almost the same. Although it is a completely different topic.

Advantages: About the merits, and so everything is written, I will say that the keyboard justifies its cost with interest. And there are no analogues in general, exclusive.
Disadvantages: A few months later, on some keys, rubbing became noticeable (if you looked at them in the light at a certain angle). But these are just scuffed coatings, not depressed cavities in the buttons, which happens on ordinary keyboards. In this case, the inscriptions from the keys are naturally not erased. A little annoying high-frequency squeak when the backlight is not at full power. A plastic transparent frame around the keyboard was rubbed in places - they could have made it even better. The hand proximity sensor does not work well if you bring them near the edge (left or right) of the keyboard.
Comment: Take without hesitation if the keyboard attracts.

After 2 years of use, we can say that the keyboard still has not lost its relevance, there are no analogues in general. By the way, the operating time of 10 days indicated is probably 10 days of continuous printing with maximum illumination, since With the usual use of a computer, 4-5 hours a day is enough for about a month

Comment: For those who decided to repaint the keys. accordingly will remove the keys. Note that the scissor mechanism of some keys is turned upside down.
And if you disassemble by inertia, then those keys just break.
If it does not come unfastened from the bottom, with the same effort that others do, skip it and unfastening the next one from the side, look not at the scissor mechanism — will it be turned over?
I managed to disassemble and repaint the keys without damage

Advantages: virtues ... are present =)
Disadvantages: Three main disadvantages:
- short Left-Shift
- one-color keys
- price
Comment: I will not repeat the virtues - everyone knows them, but the disadvantages ... are treated! So, get rid of the short shift:
(1) create a ref-file, say, k800_short_shift_fix.reg open with a notepad and paste the following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlKeyboard Layout]
"Scancode Map" = hex: 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,0,00,00,00,00 a, 00,56,00,00,00,00,00,00

Save, run, confirm - after a reboot, the left slash (/ |) will work as a shift

(2) permanent marker to help you =)

(3) But this is not treated .. I took Claudia about a year ago for ~ 3700, now the average tempo in Yandex is ~ 4250 ((Therefore, only four.

Advantages: Backlight, quiet key travel, quality.
Disadvantages: Short right shift.
Comment: Before you buy, I looked through a bunch of forums and reviews, but I did not get a single opinion. Who wrote "super" and who scolded ... but now I can refute the following:
--- rough plastic is not true, it is pleasant to the touch, matte;
--- the keys are noisy - not true, very quiet - I have a child and my wife always cursed at the sound of the keys on the old keyboard from the MX 5500 set;
--- shuffling the adjacent keys - nothing of the kind I did not observe;
--- The sharp edges of the transparent edging of the keyboard - I do not agree, 1-1.5 mm thickness with a smooth thickening.
The impressions are only positive so far: a uniform white illumination of the cold spectrum (approximately 7500K), a soft-touch plastic, an interesting design, and a palm rest. The only thing I lack is the Russian layout of green and got used to the clock on the display of the old keyboard. I began to print on it faster due to the keystroke and the rounded shape.

This keyboard is suitable primarily for those who want a quiet, full-sized and backlit wireless keyboard, while sometimes playing games and is limited in space on the desktop. The biggest plus is that you quickly get used to it and type faster than on standard membrane keyboards with a normal stroke. Perhaps the only negative is a small right shift. It is difficult to attribute the price to minuses due to the lack of analogs and the uniqueness of characteristics.

Advantages: If you need a quiet, full-sized keyboard with a short stroke, backlit, with a matte body - this is your choice. A full charge takes about three weeks with daily use. The brightness of the backlight is adjustable, the eyes are not straining, it lights up when hands are raised.
Disadvantages: The highlight of the Russian layout could be highlighted in a different color.
From gloss could completely refuse.
Comment: The perfect clave.
I solved the problem with backlighting of the Cyrillic alphabet so - I pulled out the buttons and with a marker on the reverse side I painted Russian letters and additional symbols by analogy with other clavs.

Advantages: Wonderful keyboard - in these two words expressed all the excitement of owning this keyboard.
It is characterized by:
(*) Incredible convenience and silence of the key travel (thanks to the Perfect Stroke mechanism).
(*) The backlight of the keys is uniform for all keys, its brightness changes depending on the light or manually (and also, the backlight automatically turns off when taking your hands off the keyboard and vice versa).
(*) Batteries last for an incredibly long period of time - for more than 3-4 weeks the keyboard works autonomously.
(*) Very convenient form and key material - they have a small deepening and roughness of the surface.
(*) The indelibility of the letters on the keyboard (they are machined with a laser in the key material and cannot be erased for good reason). (*) Ability to turn off the keyboard
Disadvantages: (*) The lack of a charger keyboard (I have a Logitech Performance MX mouse charger, but those who do not have a USB charger will be a bit uncomfortable)
(*) A bit more noisy than the other keys - a space (although this is a problem for all keyboards, due to the large size of the key)
(*) Response of the sensor of presence of hands on the wires on the table (if you accidentally put any cable on the keyboard and forget it - the backlight will be on all the time until the battery sits)
Comment: I strongly advise those to buy without hesitation to those who use the computer a lot and type a lot.

If you use a computer rarely - such a keyboard will not justify the investment.

Advantages: The quality of performance at height: gaps, squeaks in the work area, shortcomings during the keys are not identified
The ideal key cover: I use more than 4 months, and, very active. Both for work and for games. Nothing is erased and the keys do not even shine, as some speakers, who hide their data, are outraged here. (WASD and space keys, I specifically considered for a long time before writing a review)
The finest ergonomics: perfect for me the size, shape and layout of the keyboard, soft and quiet keystroke (for 4 months did not lose its softness), the perfect location of multimedia keys (they are all located on the F1-F12 keys and work through a combination with the FN button on laptops) is an extremely convenient solution, 3 volume keys and a calculator are separately made, they are located above the digital block)
Excellent work in the wireless mode (but I advise you to use the complete extension cord). I use the keyboard for an active game of online shooters (Battlefield, Call of Duty) and I do not feel any constraints, the perfect response, the ideal reaction, all imaginable and unimaginable keyboard shortcuts are perfectly recognized, nothing sticks, i.e. The keyboard is ideal for games (except without macros, but they are unnecessary for me)
Good battery life: on native batteries - ~ 7 hours of mixed work per day for ~ 5 days, then turns into ~ 2 hours into a wired keyboard (charges) and again ~ 5 days, for me, these are excellent indicators. Yes, and there is an opportunity to replace the complete weak batteries: on the bottom side of the keyboard on one screw there is a lid hiding two AA batteries - I set 2800 mAh instead of 2000 standard and the work time increased by ~ 2 days with the same ~ 7 hours of work per day
Sensor - turning on the backlight when you bring your hands to the keyboard and turn off the backlight, when you remove them or with sufficient daylight, an extremely useful thing that saves batteries and is actually convenient for everyday use
Disadvantages: The biggest minus of the keyboard: Small left shift and duplicate button "", but you get used to the minus quite quickly (and after a month when you get used to the little shifty, you understand that the button "" is not superfluous and you start to use it in games =)
Weak Complete Batteries (Eni Time Ni-MH 1.2 V 2000mAh)
The overpriced price in the Russian retail (took exactly 3000 p.), But after a long experience of use, I can say with confidence that the current 4000-4200 is completely worth it.
Comment: When you read some reviews, it seems that people either didn’t see this keyboard at all or stood up to clap it in the store, and now they sit at home writing reviews to reassure themselves that this keyboard is extremely unsuccessful and is not worth the purchase. Because: the keys are erased, the capslock diode is of the wrong color, the key travel is bad, the analogs are cheaper ... Well, well ... I don’t know how to use it to erase the keys, since I can use my regarded as extremely active; the keys work perfectly softly and over time nothing has changed, but if anyone needs a hard “clack” you go to the store behind the steel steel mechanical keyboards; but about cheaper analogues it smiled at me, for there are no analogues (i.e."full-size backlit wireless keyboard") in retail is simply not there, which is cheaper there ...
Based solely on my experience, I can say that the keyboard is excellent, and even its present price is worth it. The only one I advise when buying is to look at it well, evaluate the layout, evaluate the course and convenience of the keys, in order to simply understand: is the keyboard right for you? And don't worry about the quality, it’s worthy of Logitech products!

Advantages: There are no separate merits. The whole keyboard is one big advantage.
Disadvantages: Unusually: trimmed Enter, and trimmed left Shift.
Comment: Before that there was a lot of things, from the last G-15 and Wave, all Logitech. Typing is a pleasure, playing is also very convenient.

Advantages: Clavia itself is comfortable! The keys are made especially well! Build quality is excellent nor any elevators and other jambs! Powerful receiver, bright lights!
Disadvantages: If you do not indulge in trifles, they are not! But if we only find fault with the fact that there are fewer Russian letters on it and the left Shift is small!
Comment: Very convenient device, for those who want to see a stylish and at the same time comfortable keyboard in their workplace!
