Nikon D610 Body Reviews

Evaluation 4
Advantages: 1. Full frame (no longer 12 and not yet 36 MP: easier to process computer, less disk space)
2. High sensitivity (ISO 2500 and for reporting - 5000)
3. Very good picture quality at low ISO (100)
4. Case (good and comfortable, but bought a battery grip for taking portraits on a heavy Helios 40-2, soft and informative wheels and buttons)
5. Pleasant shutter sound
6. Nice exposure meter and white balance.
Disadvantages: 1. Autofocus (small coverage area, poor coverage)
2. Viewfinder (darkish, too small, inconvenient for manual focusing with myopia)
3. There is no shutter speed shorter than 1/4000 (at f1.5, ISO100 no longer saves - you need an ND filter)
4. Some controls are controversial (the ISO (-) and QUAL (+) buttons are reversed, the PASM mode switch is inconvenient, the button is too soft and uninformative, !!!)
5. Zaglyuchil several times.
6. Need fast memory cards.
7. Auto-ISO, although it works decently, eats up 4 frames out of 14 in the buffer.
8. A bit confusing menu and working with LiveView / video.
9.This is a non-professional machine! Do not confuse!
Comment: Acquired to replace the D90.

Picture: More detailed, “volumetric”, pleasant, more “expensive” than the D90. Plus a full frame reveals the lenses (their picture). But, it is necessary to press noises more aggressively when developing. Since the small noise in some places messy picture.

Recommendations: a good machine for slow shooting in good and poor lighting. Shoot only in RAW 14-bit lossless compression!

Comparison with other cameras: D750 - not so much better to give it preference. D810 - a little expensive, different slots for flash drives, an even bigger problem with retouching and a smaller working ISO. Would have bought the D810, if not for the price ...

Verdict: A good change of the old D90 with the improvement of all the technical characteristics, but there is no technological breakthrough! Just an improved D90.
As if, I upgraded my old camera.

PS: The device was released (seemingly) in November 2016. I hope there will be no problems with oil / dust.

Advantages: Advantages are described before me. .
Disadvantages: The factory settings BB in my opinion lie in all modes. Here is an example http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/amurskaya-street/album/225209. The first shot has undergone geometric and color correction. The second without correction, obviously gives blue, and the preset BB is "sunny." BB on the "auto" in sunny weather gives about the same blue. The BB correction can be done on the carcass itself and then not to return to it. Oil on the matrix! Here is an example, in the upper left quarter of the frame http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/amurskaya-street/album/220423. They write that after 10-12 thousand frames ceases to dirty. I have appeared after about 2000 frames.
Comment: I use in conjunction with the Nikon line 14-24, 24-70, 70-200 f4, 70-200 f2.8 VRII, 50 f1,4 G, 85 f1.8 G. A good device, especially if you want to buy a full frame for the first time (understanding its advantage over the crop in all aspects). Do not forget that the lenses also have a VERY great value ... Autofocus is quite smart, the ISO working concept is very relative, but certainly higher than that of the crop cameras. You get used to ergonomics and menus quickly, you just have to make great photos, which I wish everyone!

Advantages: Full-matrix, convenient to use, relatively inexpensive for its capabilities.
Disadvantages: The shutter broke after 96,000 footage, plus scratched the matrix
Comment: Used only 3 years, was very pleased.
Low noise picture, ease of use, fast continuous shooting, custom modes for quick switching (for example, shooting in the house / on the street).
But trouble happened - the shutter broke. And not just broke - he took with him the matrix. Repair would cost a pretty penny, so I decided to take a new one - exactly the same.
Let's see how long this one lives.
I didn’t switch to the D750 - there are no new buns worth 30,000 rubles.

Advantages: Price for FF. Built-in flash. Good, decent picture. Two slots for memory cards.
Disadvantages: The autofocus sensors are grouped in the center. QUAL button (its presence in general). Slow autofocus, small buffer.
Comment: I have been using it for 3 years. He is happy with everything, until it comes to indoor shooting or reportage photography, for which he is not suitable. ISO 1600 is already noisy. Casto chokes on reportage. Sensors autofocus in the center - when shooting on the open F recoding in general can not be done so as not to miss the mark, but here it is necessary. And be careful: Nikon made a huge stupidity placing the QUAL button in an easily accessible place, and even next to the ISO button. It may happen that when shooting an important event in RAW, at home you will find that you actually shot in any other format, in the flesh to jpeg basic and it will very much upset you ((((While shooting, monitor which format exhibited.

Advantages: The best full-frame camera for the money!
Disadvantages: at the expense of dust, yes, I agree, but in principle, if you don’t put it in indebtedness, then the sad one calmly everything is blown away
Comment: the quality of the pictures is just great, the full frame markovnik was not close, speed, simplicity, ease, interface, etc., by 5, who write negative reviews about several previous ones who put the top three, or their hands out of it .. will get or buy a soap box for better more expensive and sit chasing a bald man to him, because there will be one and the same quality of pictures and at this price it will be necessary to blow dust particles, and this model has everything for any photo artist from amateur to the pro, most importantly do not stint when buying a lens, whale native I don’t take it, but what about quality, solid 5, the first Nikkon after the canons, was satisfied, although they were full-frame.

Advantages: Yes, the benefits have already been described :) For me, this is an inexpensive Full Frame. And in my opinion this money is the best picture!
Disadvantages: Working with fast pieces of iron, according to my feelings in the camera is a weak processor. Especially when you open a view of 9x9 pictures in my opinion there are 72 of them on the screen. The SDHC UHS-I KINGSTON 32 GB memory card and in general it is a slow machine.
Comment: Well, I waited for 2000 thousand frames and even 3000. Cherkanu a few words.
3411 frames. https://fotki.yandex.ru/next/users/nightlife-cs/album/228073/view/789057
There is no dust, oil, dirt, etc ... Also pay attention to where the focus is (for those who suffer from the field of focus, not a sprinkled frame). File without processing, jpg from RAW. Nikon 50mm 1.8g af-s. Just for these frames, you need to learn how to re-frame the frame. Naval, pursed, focused, perekadriroval, removed. How about looks in the camera https://fotki.yandex.ru/next/users/nightlife-cs/album/228073/view/789056
As already mentioned, the white balance of “auto” always lies. The battery is very tenacious.
And yet, focusing on the amount and objectives, if I were told, we would shoot reports and sports. I would definitely take the Nikon 7200. And with the money saved, I bought a good high-aperture zoom.
But I shoot objects, interiors and portraits :)
Another couple of pictures

Advantages: The benefits for all are described in the same way - with almost all I agree.
Disadvantages: I switched to a Nikon D610 with a Canon 6D. And most importantly, my great disappointment is ergonomics, namely:
1. There is no infrared sensor controlling the main screen, to view the camera settings, you must press the Info button.
2. There is no information about exposure compensation on a small screen (the icon does not count)
3. On a small screen, displays either the ISO or the number of possible frames remaining.
4. There is no auto-shutdown, like on Canonas, in connection with which the battery flies away unnoticed, even when you do not take pictures, and if you forget to turn off and unplug the cable after importing photos, the guarantee of battery discharge.
Comment: Today, as I see it, Nikon has worse ergonomics, at the same time much better autofocus and dynamic range, which makes it hard to accept control problems.

Advantages: Convenient. On iso 3200 shoots in total darkness in the light of the moon with hands at 1/125 - from a distance of 1.5 -2 meters reads a text 2 millimeters high, noises are easily corrected in FSH. Batteries are actually enough for 1000 frames, if you do not admire every 5 minutes for the result. Indeed, dust and moisture protective case. Tested in the rain and at the festival of colors. In combination with the collection of fixes is very good. Do not listen to those who use the bottle glass))
Disadvantages: Locked in the center of the focus point. For those who suffer from 1/4000 exposure, I advise you to screw in a polarizer or protective gray glass.
Comment: Overall satisfied. The problem with the dirt on the matrix while bypasses me, the number of photos exceeded 10,000 confidently. I use in the report.

Advantages: Full frame
Burst speed
Fast autofocus
Large dynamic range
Flexible setting auto ISO
Disadvantages: Minimum shutter speed 1 / 4000s
No exposure scale on the secondary display.
Comment: Today it is the cheapest full-frame camera in the Nikon lineup. Big DD - shadows and lights drawn in 3 feet of exposure. All buttons and scroll wheels are conveniently located under the fingers, i.e. Camera control is intuitive and straightforward.
In general, the camera is very pleased.
