Advantages: Color rendition, design, size. In silver, it looks much better than black. In nature, it differs significantly (in perception) from a photo for the better. Nothing vulgar, as one would expect.

Disadvantages: Cannot reassign function selector. In silver color anodized. Wi-Fi unfinished.

Comment: Everything has already been written, but here's a new one: I bought on the advice of a real master of landscape photography. The choice was between him and Nikon d 850 (!). The price was not decisive. Definitely not in favor of the latter for completely objective reasons. For example:
1. An attempt by Nikon to create a universal mega-monster led to the need for a combination of multipixality and high speed serial shooting, which led to the inevitable compromises of features and quality. In order for the processor to cope with such volume and speed, pre-compression (!) RAW is used. Draw conclusions.
2. The rubberized lower part in the mount of the tripod is a clear mistake, resulting in the absence of stiffness and vibrations.
3. With the same weight significantly larger dimensions.
4. Well, and most importantly, of course, colors and more colors.

Advantages: 1) Ability to work at very high ISO.
2) Very responsive matrix. Without distortions. Smooth color transitions.
3) Live-View
4) Swivel screen

Disadvantages: 1. Long autofocus.
2. Weight.

Comment: Very professional assistant. I never missed the auto white balance. K1 allows you to work at a very high ISO, but where quality is important it is better not to bully above 3200.
Live-View mode and a rotating screen allow you to shoot in difficult conditions and at the same time see the real picture. Live-View is very easy to work with manual optics, such as the Soviet.
Very responsive matrix. There are no sharp jumps even with difficult lighting.
I was upset by the work of autofocus in complex lighting. In addition to the slow autofocus, I have no complaints about the carcass.

Advantages: Design, corporate color images, ergonomics, comfortable sliding screen. Sharpness of pictures !!!

Disadvantages: Faster battery power than previous models, but not critical.

Comment: This camera pleases me more than a year. At first, 36 megapixels seemed to be overkill, now the detailing from the crop no longer suits. Excellent, balanced camera with beautiful colors in the pictures, reliable, dust and moisture proof, inexpensive compared to canon / nikon. Recommend!

Advantages: Finally ff from pentax! Very handy camera in his hand, smart and quiet. Perfectly fulfills on high iso. Brand quality color and picture quality. A lot of interesting features, such as changing the frame field or turning off the smoothing filter. Perfect for street shooting and for the studio. Very good stabilizer, I stopped using a tripod.

Disadvantages: Before reportage shooting, it did not reach, but pentax was always strong in artistic photography.

Comment: I own this device from April and still delighted. In combination with the lens 70-200 f2.8 just a fairy tale. Well, night shooting is simply beyond praise.

Advantages: 1. In some cases, now I feel free to use ISO 12800. However, above 6400 I try not to bully.
2. My favorite, the 31st lim, revealed itself in the full FF fullness of its capabilities, became a regular glass on a new camera.
3. The swivel screen is an unusual design and a very handy Pentax K-1 chip. Competitors do not have such a reliable mounting of a large (3.2 ″) display.
4. In the dark, changing lenses is now much more convenient - there is a bayonet illumination.
5. The ability to use lens lenses pleased only the first time. Still, an excellent 36 megapixel matrix should be used to the fullest!
6. The grip is so convenient that you can shoot one right. Unless, of course, the carcass is 70-200 / 2.8.
7. I liked that in the Live-View mode, using focus-picking, it is easy to direct the object with manual lenses. This is especially true when using aperture lenses (F / 1.4).
8. K-1 image quality using top lenses at the level (or even higher!) Of the more expensive FF cameras of competitors. But some relatively cheap glass can get good results. I have this Sigma 15 / 2.8, (fish), 12-24 / 4.5-5.6, 20 / 1.8 and 70-200 / 2.8, Samyang 85 / 1.4.
9. The dust and water tightness and strength of the camera in combination with a comfortable grip and a capacious battery make it indispensable in photo tours. Checked by me.
10. Positioning using the built-in GPS module is a handy thing, but I, alas, forget to turn it on.
11. Useful to someone Astrogid and Wi-Fi I have not needed.
12. I almost forgot to write about the horizon alignment option. It is convenient, I use.
13. All my lenses on K-1 focus precisely and without correction.
14. I use video very rarely, so without comments.
15. Pixel shift tried, really works. But I rarely shoot with a tripod.
16. Stab in the carcass, however, is good. Sometimes helps out.

Disadvantages: 1. The speed of focusing the camera was not surprised. K-1 is not for sports reporting. However, if the photographer does not have such tasks, then this is not a disadvantage.
2The burst frequency is low, and the memory buffer becomes clogged quickly.
3. The native lens 28-105 is good for travel photography (sharpness and water resistance are present), but I would like something like 24-120 / 4.0 in a protected version.

Comment: This is my fourth Pentax camera after K-20, K-5, K-3. Purchased at the Moscow ZUMA store in April 2016. At the same time, they told me that I was the first K-1 buyer. Made more than 20,500 frames. Not a single failure. The other day, when the ZUMA service was carried out a comprehensive cleaning of the camera - and it is again like new! I have never regretted that I had given only 1 ruble less than 160 thousand then. Would I buy it now? Of course, the more so because the camera has fallen in price greatly.

In the transition from crop to full frame, I decided to thoroughly approach this issue. The experience with the camera has already been and there have been many complaints about the work of my crop from NOT pentax. One of the main - the inability to shoot in low light. High ISOs gave a lot of noise, daytime shutter speeds - lubrication. I decided to switch to Pentax and now I have no regrets !!! Going to PENTAX got rid of all the problems! There are no noise problems at high ISO! With long exposures, the stabilizer on the matrix works fine! And at the same time, all these charms work on any lens, including the wonderful old Soviet optics! Well, a bunch of other advantages! All the functionality has not yet been studied - a very smart camera! Now I certainly can’t refer to the disadvantages of the camera! She knows how all that should be able to camera! THANKS TO PENTAX !!!!

Advantages: 1. It is immediately apparent that the design, body shape of the Pentax K-1 camera are the successors of the entire experience of the company. Here and film "vintage", and modern "techno", and a subtle, but persistent hint of persistence in moving to a new time.
2. When you take the camera in your hands, or rather, in one hand, it becomes immediately clear that the second hand is needed only to carry out the correction of actions. And this is amazing, as it is a SLR camera with a Full Frame matrix format (35.9 x 24.0 mm), a 35mm CMOS sensor and approximately 36.4 effective megapixels. I just want to exclaim: “It must be huge !!!!” But NO! Here, please, I hold with one hand (right) and with my thumb I can move, well, exactly 80% of the functions of the work items.
3. Turn on "On" and immerse yourself in the Software. Of course, the developers of a large "Respect". The conciseness of the functions plus the speed of movement between them allows you to quickly understand and get used to the functions. A big plus and special thanks for the function "Save user settings."
4.When working at high ISO (from 6000), the “Noise Reduction” feature pleased me. It really makes it possible to shoot without thinking about the sound effects, moving two or three steps in the exposure. The function works most successfully in the “Noise Reduction” / “Exposure Correction” or “Bracketing” mode.
5. The fastening of the LCD monitor in combination with LiveView (and without it) makes it possible to expand the range of camera angles, while not “wriggling” along the ground and without arching with various geometric shapes.
6. The visibility of the frame through the viewfinder (and it corresponds to the declared 100%) allows you to build a composition in advance. And when you see a flickering label at the top, saying that you are going beyond the edges of the frame, and there is a possibility to cut the frame, you just relax and continue to work with the picture.

Disadvantages: 1. In my configuration, when the “Backlight” button is pressed, there is no illumination of the slot with memory cards and the bayonet.Therefore, in the dark, insert a card and change the lens will be a difficult exercise.
2. When using X-sync with external flashes in the menu there is no choice of parameters for each of the selected pulses. We'll have to use the settings of the external synchronizer.
3. When deleting footage from a memory card in viewing mode in the camera, you will have to perform several clicks with different buttons: “delete-select-delete” instead of just “delete-delete”. On the other hand, there is time to think before sending your “masterpiece” to the basket.
4. The camera is demanding of memory cards. Well, this is understandable, since 36.4 effective megapixels set their bar for quality.

Comment: 1. Focus Modes:
AF.S (single-frame, with a focal point lock). In general, there were no problems when using a SMC Pentax-FA 1: 2 35mm AL lens both in daylight and studio lighting. The only thing that needs to be said is that the green light of the autofocus illumination (LED illumination) made it necessary in studio conditions to look for an additional light source for focusing. Most likely, this is due to the amount of reflected light passing through the aperture of the above F8-F11 lens.
AF.C (tracking) pleased less. When shooting fast-moving objects had to do fine-tuning. But, again, I am writing off the lens class. Focusing sensors, both at full strength and pointwise, behave predictably and are easy to train under given lighting conditions and frame composition.
2. The work of the shutter is the rustling of leaves. On the one hand, you hear that he has worked, but on the other - not distracted. All excerpts are worked out clearly and calmly. In general, you do not even pay attention to this, and focus only on the settings.
3. Pixel Shift Resolution gives a noticeable increase in the depth of color even when shooting with hands. Checked !!!
4. Thank you for the button to quickly switch the format for recording RAW / JPEG information.

Advantages: Fast autofocus, low noise, beautiful picture, excellent ergonomics and appearance

Disadvantages: A bit heavy, not very good with the support of third-party manufacturers.

Comment: Literally an hour later, I got used to the camera, and when I later picked up the Pentax K 200, it seemed “alien”, although I had used it for more than 9 years. I have a version of Silver, which looks great with silver lima. Bat.blok here turned out to be unnecessary, because Is it convenient for me to shoot both horizontally and vertically? although it is more convenient to shoot vertically. After APS-C, shooting is somewhat unusual. 77 lim became not so "narrow" and macro-weaving sometimes became more appropriate. The menu is all clear, but with additional features more difficult - I had to read the manual for editing images in the camera. I appreciated the application for the smartphone - it is convenient to remotely control the shooting (although it is better to enable the Live-View mode on the camera).
