Advantages: Satisfied completely. I agree with the advantages described in other reviews. I liked that you can easily connect an external synthesizer through analog jacks and bring them to monitors without using an additional mixer.
Disadvantages: Is that the need for external power (there is a set), but this is not a drawback.
Comment: There are two line inputs that plugged in a Yamaha MOXF6 synthesizer for monitoring without delay in stereo mode. Under Mac OS High Sierra and Ableton Live 10 works fine, the delay is at least as good as the one built into the laptop.
The complete dspMixFx software works well, and it seems that the monitoring settings are stored in the card itself - the next time dspMixFx was turned on, it did not even have to be started again, everything worked right away, as configured last time.
Installing dspMixFx requires a Steinberg elicenser, but does not require entering a code for activation, so I assume that you can safely install it on several computers with which you intend to use the card.
By the way, it even works under Ubuntu without any drivers (but simply as a generic USB card, the built-in dsp and the record most likely do not work).
Compared to the low-end UR22, then in the UR242, besides the presence of DSP and the possibility of monitoring input signals in stereo, there is a subjectively larger volume margin for 80-ohm Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones. And in the software mixer, you can add a little, if that. It also seemed that it could work without a wheeze with a smaller buffer size (and delay) in the settings than the UR22.
And, by the way, I just changed the UR22 to UR242, due to the fact that in the first one it was not possible to directly send two input signals to the monitors as stereo (it was possible only on the recording).

Advantages: The build quality and appearance are all cool, although I wouldn’t give up on the control panel from above, but that’s me, not a minus of the card.
Enough good and clear sound at the input and output compared to the Roland Quad Capture
Very stable interface, for 3 months never a hint of a crash, although the projects were large and complex and Realtime and everything else.

Disadvantages: It would be possible and the backlight of the main krutilok, but it is hard to see in the dark
The volume margin is weak, but I always have enough, although it may not be enough if I connect 250 ohm headphones.

Comment: By right, this is the best card. and a dynamic range of 90 dB is enough for 99% of the needs, harmonic distortion is more likely just a sound individuality than a minus, so everything on this card is perfect)

Disadvantages: Headphone output
Comment: As a person who worked on such cards as: Focusrite 2 and 2, 2 and 4, Terratec, ESI Julia and Maya, this is the best card in the price range up to 15k rubles.
Basically, all the cards have problems with drivers and multi-client, which leads to errors, after which you have to reboot the PC or the card.
Immediately, I just stuck the card, everything was determined and tuned, I did not even have to download the driver. With multi-client, everything is just as good, it gave sound from 5 different sources and switched between them. No departures all perfect.
AT M50X headphones are connected to the card - the sound is very decent. Plus monitors Mackie MR8, as well, the sound is excellent.
By right, this is the best card that I had.

Advantages: - Classic design of UR series devices: serious, character - Nordic, seasoned. Body - strong, metal. The device weighs a little, you can put it in your bag and take it with you to the exit record.
- 2 microphone-line combo inputs, 1 of which with activated Hi-Z, + 48v phantom power, Pad buttons, 2 line inputs, headphone output, line output, MIDI I / O. For my tasks - what you need!
- Software dspMixFx mixer, DSP effects (channel strip, 4 guitar processing and reverb / hall). Very comfortable plush.
- The joint work of software products Steinberg and hardware from the same company (for users of Cubase, first of all).
- The drivers are stable (my OS is Windows 7 x64).

Disadvantages: Coffee in the studio does not cook except! (joke)
Comment: So, I have two main tasks: recording vocals and recording material with my small groups (ethno-group, cover-band and jazz duo).
Initially I thought on the Steinberg UR22mkii, but the number of inputs on the UR242 decided the question in favor of the latter, since there are sometimes more than two sources of sound recording (for example, 3/4 line inputs, 1 microphone and one dambra or bansuri with a pickup).
Visually and for transportability, I really liked the card - no frills, everything is serious. Drivers from a native CD got up the first time on Windows 7 x64. Four days - normal flight, meetings, dropouts, cutting down - no.
Microphone amps D-PRE, of which two in the UR242 are good, I liked the sound through them. Vocalists sometimes when recording they ask to give them a reverb to the headphones for monitoring (look what, give everything comfortably straightforward!), Sometimes I play the electric guitar myself, this is where the DSP effects come in: I hung up the necessary effects for listening in the dspMixFx mixer, and in the sequencer there is a clear sound without processing - very convenient.
Some more interesting features are the possibility of autonomous (!) Work with the iPad (apple users, I think, they will appreciate it), in addition, the set of the card contains the keys to Cubase AI, Basic FX Suite and Cubasis LE.
Tested in RMAA - the device corresponds to the passport characteristics. The delay is 9 ms with buffer 64.
100% satisfied with the purchase. Rating: 6 cubes out of a possible 5!

Advantages: High sound quality, 192 kHz support is really cool. There is no delay in playing the line! There is a Cubase AI license, a nice bonus as for me.
Disadvantages: I have not found it yet, once I dropped a record in Cubase, apparently something is wrong with the settings.
Comment: In general, I am very pleased with the device, before that I used ESI U24XL. To put it mildly, the wrong level! The quality of the recording studio, on the microphone inputs is cool, wrote the guitar both in line and Shure M57 from the combo, the sound is killer, the quality is super, you can not tell from the studio recording, if your hands are straight :)
Verdict: a super device for your money for a home studio or recording but at a rep point!
