A decent lens aperture for this class (3.4–6.9) with a focal length range of 24–840 mm (35 mm equivalent) allows the amateur photographer to significantly expand their capabilities: to find a brighter camera that can shoot objects at a considerable distance, for this money is very difficult.

The more prepared user will be somewhat disappointed by the matrix: the use of size 1 / 2.3 ”was the price paid for compactness, and hence the increased noise in low light and maximum sensitivity values ​​(the settings allow you to set it to ISO 3200). But there are excellent opportunities for manual adjustment: you can set the shutter speed and aperture, and manually move the autofocus point. The screen has the ability to tilt for shooting from uncomfortable positions (well, for selfies, of course), and image stabilization is always useful when shooting with it.

At the same time, the camera is also endowed with the possibility of video shooting in 4K - for a relatively inexpensive compact, this is a serious advantage. It is a pity that the camera cannot save RAW, although the built-in JPEG is quite good - you can successfully print photos in A4 format without risking to see excessive smoothing and without losing sharpness.

This camera mimics well under the “SLR”, but, of course, the non-removable lens easily gives it out. But what a lens: a record 125x zoom makes you think of amateur astronomy right away. At the same time, having crazy 3 meters of equivalent focal length at the “long end”, the lens is narrowed only at f / 8, which, you see, is excellent for a compact ultrazoom. In addition, there is a stabilizer for optics - here it is certainly mandatory, although it will still not be possible to shoot with such a maximum EGF from the hands. But on moderate focal lengths, it will allow, say, to do photohunting, without later removing dozens of photos due to the “jiggle” with curses. Yes, and do not forget about digital zoom: together with optical it allows you to get EGF up to 12 meters, mamma mia!

Alas, the matrix spoils everything: even with back light, but not even the APS-C is the usual 16.3-megapixel sensor of 1 / 2.3 format. Let here already and the opportunity to shoot in RAW, but this gives advantages only in the expo and color correction. But “soapiness”, dislike for high ISO, alas, is traditional for such matrices - but within reasonable limits, in its class, the P1000 is unambiguously in the lead.

The camera can now work with 4K video. Add to this the widest range of focal lengths and the ability to connect an external microphone, do not forget about the optical stabilizer - this is your universal videographer tool.But not everyone will like the “walking” camera: it weighs almost one and a half kilograms, of which the lion’s share, of course, is the merit of the lens.

This Nikon camera, presented together with the Z7 and which became, in fact, its “cropped” version, just as well with it got its laurels from TIPA, only in another nomination: Best Full Frame Camera Expert 2019. So, and what exactly "truncation"? Let's go point by point.

The matrix remained full-frame, but almost half the resolution - 25.28 megapixels. But this also allows you to easily print photos in A2-A3 formats, but the requirements for optics are less due to the larger physical pixels (recall the diffraction limit and other optical troubles). It's funny, but the ISO range here has become even wider than that of the Z7 - again, thanks to the pixels with a larger physical size, although you are unlikely to need to pick up the photosensitivity up to 204,800. phase autofocus was decently less (273).

What camera is definitely losing and older, and the more "Nikon" SLR - so it is in autonomy: 310 frames by the method of CIPA? Are you seriously? Yes, of course, the matrix, its stabilizer, and the optical viewfinder (excellent, we note) “eat” electricity as if not in themselves, but when buying, you should immediately think about spare batteries and a charger for several sockets.

According to TIPA version, the Best DSLR Camera 2019 is exactly the D3500 camera, the current flagship of the Nikon’s most famous cinema camera. Having kept the main features of the previous camera D3400 - 11-point autofocus, 24-megapixel matrix, the camera became lighter, thinner and more ergonomic. The buttons, for example, “moved” to the right side of the back wall from the left - they can finally be used by holding the camera on the wrist strap on weight when the second hand is busy. I am glad that the company did not support the current fashion in the lower segment of the DSLRs to thrust the battery and the memory card slot under one cover: a battery grip, a tripod, and a belt do not interfere with quick access to the card.

Another laureate of 2017 continues the tradition of the seven thousandth series, successfully combining the functionality of a professional camera with the simplicity of amateur. The first thing that the eye clings to in the list of characteristics is the monstrous range of matrix sensitivity values ​​from ISO 100 to ISO 51200, expandable to the maximum ISO 1640000 (!!!). No, we were not mistaken with the number of zeros. Another thing is that at such settings the noise level is excessive - yet the matrix of 23.5x15.6 mm (24 Mp) in size is far from the top fullframes.

The Expeed 5 processor allows continuous shooting at a speed of 8 frames per second, while the buffer can hold up to 50 images in the RAW format or 100 jeeps. The autofocus system Advanced Multi-Cam 3500DX here is inherited from the professional segment of the previous series, so its capabilities are enough for the eyes. At the same time, in addition to the electronic drive, the camera also retained the mechanical one - if you have Nikkory in your storeroom under the screwdriver, they will not have to gather dust on the shelf. The metering system is also unchanged from the Nikon D500.

The current flagship of the professional series, as befits, has the dimensions of cinder block and the price of a new budget sedan. In comparison, even the top-end Canon EOS 1D X Mark II looks affordable - the price difference of more than 100 thousand rubles will convince many buyers to make their choice against Nikon.

Such cameras are often called “Olympic” - they are not just brought to the market before the next Olympiad, they are also completely “honed” for reportage photography: from whatever position and with what speed the photographer shoots, they must ensure a high-quality frame.And, of course, the metal casing can withstand bathing, dust storms, falls and kicks - but you shouldn’t drop almost a half pound “carcass” on your feet.

The full-size matrix has only 20.8 megapixels, but it provides an exceptionally high quality of images and the lowest noise among competitors. The new processor EXPEED 5 significantly increased the performance of signal processing in comparison with the previous flagship (D4 used Expeed 4). The maximum ISO 3280000 (substitute the necessary number of exclamation marks yourself) - rather a marketing move or a chance to document some event in the dark than the opportunity to get a decent photo on such a setting.

Nikon's “Unkillable and Unsinkable” camera withstands diving for 30 meters and a fall from a height of 2.4 meters. The lens offset in the corner (which makes it easier to hold the camera in a wetsuit) has a fivefold zoom (equivalent focal lengths from 24 to 120 mm) and an optical stabilizer. In addition, 4K video is available - and it is in such a compact format! If you switch to FullHD, then the frame rate can be raised right up to 120 - for extreme shooting, this will not be superfluous. Naturally, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are supported.

It is a pity that the compactness has limited the dimensions of the matrix - a 1 / 2.3-inch CMOS-sensor with 16 megapixels is used here.

Since the advent of mirrorless fullframes to the professional segment has become an obvious given, the “Nikonovtsy” did not stand aside, having defeated the TIPA Best Full Frame Professional Camera award this year from competitors from Sony and Canon.

The camera has received a new bayonet, aptly named Nikon Z and compatible with "mirror" optics through the FTZ adapter. However, not with all lenses: there are no “screwdrivers” in it - the old optics, designed for an intra-camera autofocus drive, will become manual here. We, of course, do not measure quality with megapixels - but for a professional camera, the ability to print on a large format is not unimportant, and here you cannot get anywhere without high resolution (and the corresponding optics). A big plus of the matrix is ​​the five-axis stabilization with the stated range of five stops. But what a large amount of raw data taken from the matrix, had a negative impact, so it is expected at the speed of serial shooting: no more than 9 frames per second, while “trimmed” including by megapixels Z6 gives 12 to / with. But you can’t say anything bad about the color rendition, or about the dynamic range of the matrix - and this, anyway, is more valuable than the ability to "beat the series" with a machine-gun speed.

In terms of video recording, you can’t stop caring: support for 4K and FullHD at 120 fps, the ability to connect an external microphone and monitor headphones. Optics under the Z-mount are initially developed silently and without “focus breathing” when changing the focal length.

The case is magnesium, dust and moisture proof, as it should be for a professional camera. The only thing that upsets him is the memory card flap. More precisely, not the hatch itself, but what opens up under it - alas, the Z7 "eats" only XQD cards without the possibility of backup to SD.
